CHARACTERS
Narrator 4 — Mikay ; Narrator 3 — Xzandra ; Queen Seraphina — Mica ;
King Edrion — Joseph

Narrator 4: Once upon a time, in a kingdom prosperous, there lived a king and queen. They
ruled with wisdom, but their hearts carried a sorrow that no crown could lighten.
Narrator 3: Despite their power… they were without an heir. Their love remained shadowed by
this single void.
Queen Seraphina: Edrion… how many tears have I shed into my pillow each night, hoping that
one day, our child would finally come to us?
King Edrion: Seraphina, it has been far too many years. I see the pain in your eyes. Every time I
look upon our people, I wonder… who will reign after us?
Queen Seraphina: And what have we not tried? The waters of foreign lands… even the
blessings of the holy men have left us barren. Is this our fate?
King Edrion: No, my queen. We cannot surrender. There must be an answer—somewhere. If the
gods have turned their gaze from us, then we will demand they look upon us once more.
King Edrion: We will send emissaries to the farthest reaches of the world. I will spare no effort,
to find what we seek. I will make that journey for you, Seraphina. We will be a family.
Queen Seraphina: And what if there is no answer? Every day that passes without a child… I
feel my hope slipping further away.
King Edrion: Then hold on to me. Hold on to our love, and we will find a way. We have
weathered every storm together. This will be no different. Do you not believe in our bond?
Queen Seraphina: I do believe in us, Edrion. More than anything in this world.
SCENE 2: THE PROPHECY

CHARACTERS:
Narrator 3 — Xzandra ; Queen Seraphina — Mica ; Enchanted Frog — Adrian ;
King Edrion — Joseph

Narrator 3: One evening, while Queen Seraphina sought solace by the sacred waters near the
castle, her fate would change in ways she could never have imagined.

Queen Seraphina: Oh, if the gods have any mercy left for me… for us… grant me this one
wish. A child. One child to fill this aching void, to bring light to these dark halls.
(Suddenly, something in the bushes moves, and Queen Seraphina becomes curious.)
(She sees a frog and comes to pick it up, but it transforms into a person.)

Queen Seraphina: What… what is this? A creature of magic?

Enchanted Frog: Fear not, Queen Seraphina. I come bearing tidings from the gods. Your plea
has reached their ears, and soon, your sorrow will be no more.
Queen Seraphina: A… frog? You speak? How… how can this be?
Enchanted Frog: The gods have chosen this form for me, that I may bring you hope. Your wish
has been heard. You shall bear a daughter—more radiant than the morning sun.
Queen Seraphina: A daughter…? After all these years? Could it be?
Enchanted Frog: Your daughter will be a gift beyond measure. But heed this, Queen Seraphina
—her fate will be one of light and shadow. For with great beauty comes great danger.
Queen Seraphina: I… I understand. But if it is a daughter the gods grant me, I will cherish her
beyond all things. Thank you… thank you!

Narrator 3 : And so, Queen Seraphina returned to the castle, her heart racing with newfound
hope.
(While the narrator is speaking, the stage transforms into a room)

Queen Seraphina: Edrion! My love! Oh, Edrion, you will not believe what has happened—what
I have seen!
King Edrion: Seraphina? What has happened? What has stirred you so?
Queen Seraphina: The lake—I was there, praying, when an enchanted creature appeared. A
frog, It spoke, and it brought me news!
King Edrion: A frog? Spoke to you? What did the creature tell you?
Queen Seraphina: It said we will have a child. A daughter! Oh, Edrion, it was not a dream, it
was real!
(King Edrion holds her shoulders)
King Edrion: A daughter…? Could it truly be? After all this time, the gods have heard us?
Queen Seraphina: Yes, my king. They have heard us.
King Edrion: Seraphina… my queen… we will finally be a family.

(King Edrion and Seraphina hug each other, ending the scene.)
(After the hug, change set into kingdom.)
SCENE 3 — THE CURSE
CHARACTERS:
Narrator 1— John Derek ; Narrator 2, — April ; Fairy Celestia — April ; Narrator 3 ;
Xzandra ; Malva, Narrator 4— Mikay ; Narrator 5, King Edrion— Joseph ; Royal Herald –
Joeren ; Queen Seraphina — Mica ; Fairy Althea — Izaiah ; Fairy Eirlys — Alexa ; Fairy
Calista — Zalina

Narrator 4: Months have passed after the good news has been shared, and the queen gave birth
to a princess. Grateful for the blessings received, they decided to celebrate with a grand
ceremony— the christening of their daughter.

King Edrion: Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for our kingdom! After many years
of sorrow and prayer, the gods have smiled upon us. Our daughter, Princess Elyana, is the light
of our lives, and we will honor her today.

Narrator 3: And so, the King and Queen extended invitations to four of the most powerful
fairies in all the land.

Royal Herald 1: Presenting the honored fairy godmothers! First, we welcome Fairy Althea, the
fairy of light, keeper of wisdom and knowledge!
(all people clap for the fairy, while the fairy moves towards the table dancing with grace)
Royal Herald 1: Next, Fairy Eirlys, the fairy of the ocean, guardian of beauty and grace!
(all people clap)
Royal Herald 1: Fairy Calista, the fairy of the moon, maiden of eloquence and wit!
(all people clap)
Royal Herald 1: And last, but most revered, Fairy Celestia, the ancient and most powerful
among them, the fairy of destiny itself!
(all people clap)

Narrator 5: In the grand halls of King Edrion’s palace, a feast unlike any other was held.

Fairy Eirlys: King Edrion truly knows how to flatter us, doesn’t he? Diamonds and rubies set
into the very cutlery! It feels almost a crime to put them to use.
Fairy Celestia: King Edrion has spared no effort in this feast. It is rare to witness such
hospitality. But perhaps there is more here than just jewels and wine… the weight of fate lingers
in the air tonight.
Fairy Calista: Tonight, we celebrate. There will be time for fate and fortune later. Look at the
jewels that dazzle in the firelight! They are too beautiful to be dulled by talk of destiny.
Fairy Althea: You’re right, Calista! We celebrate not just this kingdom, but the delicate balance
we protect. Let us not forget… our presence here has meaning beyond this feast.
(King Edrion then approaches the table of the fairies.)

King Edrion: A toast, dear fairies! To your power, your grace, and the wisdom you bestow upon
us all. May this night be one of joy, free of worry, and full of revelry. You honor us with your
presence.

Narrator 1: But as they rejoiced in the princess’s future, fate had other plans. From the shadows,
a presence long forgotten stepped into the light—a fairy, forgotten by time, had come to claim
her place at the banquet.
(Malva walks in, slowly and fiercely. All people look and stare at her with fear)
King Edrion: Who… who is this? I thought all the fairies had been summoned. How could we
have forgotten…?
Fairy Celestia: (talking to King Edrion) That is Malva, the eldest among us. Long has she kept
herself hidden away from the world. But she was once great in power… and greater in pride.
(Malva continues walking towards the table of the fairies)
Malva: No gold for me. No diamonds. Am I so easily forgotten? Cast aside as if I were dead?
(Some servants quickly grab a chair and jewelry on a table, intended for Malva)
Queen Seraphina: Lady Malva, forgive us. We meant no disrespect. We were unaware you still
resided in the tower. A place was prepared for you the moment we realized our error.
Malva: (cuts off Queen Seraphina) An error, you say? An oversight? I see no golden casket
before me, no jewels as you have laid before my other sisters. Am I so unworthy of your favor?
Fairy Calista: Oh, come now, Malva. Surely you do not need such trinkets to prove your worth!
You are as powerful as any of us.
Malva: (pauses, looks at Fairy Calista slowly) You mock me with your false laughter. Do you
think I am a fool? You fear me, because I am forgotten. But let me remind you— there are far
greater ways to make oneself remembered.

Narrator 3: As the company trembled under the weight of Malva’s wrath, the fairies knew their
time had come to bestow their gifts upon the young princess.
(As the narrator speaks, the fairies begin to form a line near the cradle of the Princess, Malva
follows).)

Fairy Althea: Sweet child, my gift to you is the gift of beauty. Your face will inspire songs, your
presence will bring light to even the darkest of places.
(She then swirls her wand and walks to the side)
Fairy Eirlys: And I, dear princess, grant you the temper of an angel. There will be no room in
your heart for cruelty or malice.
(Swirls her wand and walks to the side)
Fairy Calista: And finally, dear princess, I give you mastery over music. Not only will you
sing, but you will play every kind of instrument with skill.
(Swirls her wand and walks to the side)

Narrator 2: But as the last fairy’s words faded, the time had come for Malva, the bitter and
forgotten.

Malva: Ah, what a spectacle this has been. Such beauty, grace, charm, music—oh, what precious
gifts these are. (goes near the cradle.)
Malva: Yes, fate. That is the gift I shall bestow. Hear me now, King Edrion, Queen Seraphina,
and all you fools who revel in the light of these blessings. On the day she turns sixteen, the sweet
princess shall prick her finger upon the spindle of a spinning wheel… and she shall die.

(all people gasp)

King Edrion: No! You shall not doom my daughter to such a fate, you vile creature! I will not
allow it!
Malva: (laughs)Allow it? Oh, how naïve you are, King. The curse is set. Not even your wrath
can undo what has been spoken. Poor, pitiful man. There is no escaping destiny.
King Edrion: Guards! Seize that creature! Do not let her leave this place!
(The guards go near Malva, and seize her)
Malva: (laughter) This curse is your daughter’s destiny. She cannot escape it. Neither can you.
(Malva and the guards go outside the stage/set)

(while King Edrion is speaking, everyone utters a sound/gossip quietly)

King Edrion: What have we done? How could we have let this happen?
Queen Seraphina: Edrion, our child… our sweet Elyana… she’s cursed! She’s doomed!

Fairy Celestia: Wait! All is not lost, our King. I have yet to bestow my gift to the princess.
Though I cannot undo Malva’s curse completely, I can soften its blow.
(swirls her wand towards the cradle of the baby)
Fairy Celestia: Your daughter, King Edrion, Queen Seraphina, will indeed prick her hand on a
spindle. But she shall not die. Instead, she will fall into a deep, peaceful sleep—a sleep that will
last one hundred years.
Fairy Celestia: At the end of those hundred years, a brave prince will come. A king’s son, will
find her and awaken her with a kiss. Only then will the curse be fully broken.
(swirls her wand one more time, stops and pauses, and goes beside the king.)
King Edrion: Thank you… Thank you.
(Fairy Celestia bows to the king and queen, and then goes to the other fairies while the narrator
is speaking.)
Narrator 1: And so, the fate of Princess Elyana was sealed. Her life, blessed and cursed in equal
measure, hung in the balance. The years would pass, the wheels of destiny turning ever closer to
that fateful day.

SCENE 4: THE PROTECTION OF THE PRINCESS

CHARACTERS:
Royal Herald – Joeren ; Queen Seraphina – Mica Mhiel ; King Edrion – Joseph ;
Fairy Althea – Izaiah ; Keith — Tristan ; Narrator 1 - Derek

Narrator 1: In the wake of the dark prophecy, King Edrion took desperate measures to protect
his beloved daughter. An edict was issued. The king’s voice echoed through the kingdom.

(The Royal Herald clears his throat and unrolls the scroll. His voice rings out with authority.)

Royal Herald 1: Hear ye, hear ye! By the command of His Majesty, King Edrion, it is decreed
that forevermore, no spinning wheel or spindle shall be used. Any person found in possession of
such an instrument shall face the gravest of penalties—death!

Queen Seraphina: Edrion, will this truly protect Elyana?

King Edrion: I fear that we cannot guard against every possibility. We’ve done all we can to
shield our daughter from this dreadful fate.
Royal Herald 1: We shall continue to protect Elyana with all our might. Our love for her will
guide us through this darkness.

( quick set change)

Narrator 1: While the edict reigned supreme in the heart of the kingdom, the lives of common
folk continued. Yet, even in the shadows of the royal decree, some still attempted to defy the
orders.

Fairy Althea: Citizen, you must cease your work immediately. The kingdom is under a dire edict
—no spinning wheels are to be used.
Keith: (random citizen) But why? This spinning wheel is my livelihood. How am I to survive if I
am to abandon it?
Fairy Althea: (With compassion) I understand you, but this is a matter of life and death.
Princess Elyana is under a curse. Your compliance is necessary for her safety.

Narrator 1: Keith, seeing the sincerity in Fairy Althea’s eyes, reluctantly agrees.

SCENE 5 – THE SPINNING WHEEL

CHARACTERS:
Narrator 1 — John Derek ; Narrator 2 ; April ; Gerta — Xzandra ; Princess Elyana - Mikay ;
Maidservant 1 : Alexa

Narrator 2: Years passed, and the memory of the cursed spindle faded from the minds of all but
the most cautious. On her sixteenth birthday, with King Edrion and Queen Seraphina far from the
castle, Princess Elyana would stumble upon a room forgotten by time.

(Princess Elyana stumbles upon an abandoned room)

Princess Elyana: What a strange, magical place! I’ve never seen this part of the castle before.
What is this marvelous contraption you have here?
Gerta: This, my dear, is my spinning wheel. It has been my companion for many long years.
Princess Elyana: Spinning… I’ve heard stories of such things, but I’ve never seen one with my
own eyes. The way it turns—it’s mesmerizing. I can’t take my eyes off of it. May I try?
Gerta: It’s not as easy as it looks. One must be careful… a spindle can be sharp. But if you wish,
I can show you.
Princess Elyana: Oh, I’m sure I can learn! It looks so simple. Please, show me how. I feel as
though I was meant to do this.
Gerta: Slowly, my dear, gently! You must take your time, else you’ll—

(Before Gerta can finish, Princess Elyana pricks her finger on the sharp tip of the spindle. Her
eyes widen with shock. Her hand jerks back, but it’s too late. She gasps and stumbles, clutching
her finger.)

Princess Elyana: Oh… I… I pricked myself… It… It hurts… (faints to the ground)
Gerta: Princess! Princess! Oh, heavens, what have I done? Please wake up, Please, someone,
help! HELP!
(Maidservants arrive at the scene)
Maidservant 1: Heavens! What happened to the princess? What did you do!?
Gerta: But… but it was an accident! I didn’t know! I… I was just spinning!
Maidservant 2: Quick! Hide, Gerta! Don’t wait for the King to punish you!
Gerta: But… what will the king and queen say? What have I done? I have doomed the princess!
(soon, King Edrion arrives at the scene, with Queen Seraphina)

King Edrion: Ah, what a splendid day we’ve had! The lands are prosperous, and the people
rejoice in peace.
Maidservant 1: Your Majesties… I bring grave news. While you were away, the princess—she
found her way to a spinning wheel.

Queen Seraphina: No… No, it cannot be. Not the spindle. Tell me it’s not true!

King Edrion: No! My Elyana! My daughter… we did everything in our power to prevent this.
How could this happen? How could fate be so cruel?

(set change, into a room)

Narrator 1: The cry for help echoed through the halls of the palace. For deep within the heart of
the castle, Princess Elyana lay as if touched by a gentle hand of sleep.

Doctor/ Healer : (touches Princess Elyana) There’s nothing I can do. I am sorry, your majesty.
Queen Seraphina: (sobs)
King Edrion: She shall rest here, (pause) where she belongs, until the day she awakens. No
one shall disturb her slumber.
Queen Seraphina: Let her sleep in peace… in beauty untouched by time, until the hour of her
destiny arrives.

Narrator 2: And so, the princess was placed upon a bed as beautiful as her slumbering form. It
was not death that claimed her, but time itself… waiting for the moment of her awakening.

Queen Seraphina: We cannot lose hope. The fairies have promised—she will awaken. She shall
rest, watched over by this palace, untouched by the world.

King Edrion: Seal the tower. No one is to enter, save for those who tend to her. The kingdom
itself will wait with her… and when the time is right, a prince will come. A prince destined to
break the curse.
(while narrator is speaking, Queen Seraphina and King Edrion look at their child)
Narrator 1: And so the king’s command was obeyed. The princess, fair as an angel, was left to
sleep in peace, guarded by the strength of her family’s love and the promise of destiny.

SCENE 6 – A NEW KINGDOM

CHARACTERS:
Narrator 6— Adrian ; Prince Leander — Don ; Sir Henry — Ethan ; Master Arlo — Caloc;
Sir Rowan — Tristan

Narrator 6: A hundred years had passed since the princess had fallen into her sleep. Time had
changed in the kingdom, and the throne had passed to another royal family, the memory of the
sleeping beauty nearly forgotten. But one day, a young prince chanced upon the edge of the
forgotten forest.

Sir Henry: Do you remember the day Master Arlo tried to chase a wild boar with nothing but a
dagger? He ran so fast!
(laughing)
(Prince Leander pauses)
Prince Leander: Woah… look. There, ahead. The forest… it’s different.
Sir Henry: (Squinting) What in the name of the gods is this? I’ve never seen the forest look like
this before.
Master Arlo: Aye… It feels… cursed.
Prince Leander: There’s something beyond these trees. We’ve hunted in these woods countless
times, yet never have we come across such a place.

(The prince’s gaze remains fixed on the towering thorns and brambles. He dismounts his horse,
stepping closer to the wall of tangled vines. The others follow, their curiosity mingled with
caution.)

Narrator 4: As the prince and his loyal companions stood before the barrier, a force began to
stir. It was a path not meant for the faint of heart.
Prince Leander: Look… the forest is moving. It’s… opening for me. By the gods… what
sorcery is this?
Master Arlo: It’s as if the forest knows you, my prince. As if it’s been waiting for you.
Sir Rowan: Leander… this is no ordinary hunt. Whatever lies beyond, we should be cautious.
(Prince Leander moves toward the border)
Sir Rowan: (Calling out nervously) Your Highness, no one has ever been able to pass through
the brambles and thorns!

Narrator 6: And so it was, the forest itself recognized the prince’s destiny. Magic had awaited
this moment for a century, for the prince was indeed the one destined to awaken the princess.

Sir Henry: Your Highness! We cannot follow! The forest allows only you!
Prince Leander: Stay here, my friends. I must go on alone now. Do not fear for me—I shall
return with the princess by my side.
Narrator 4: And so, the young prince, brave and true, continued on his path, undaunted by the
mysteries that surrounded him. The forest, ancient knew the time had come.
SCENE 7
CHARACERS:
Narrator 5 – Joseph , Princess Elyana, Prince Leander

Narrator 5: The prince’s heart raced as he entered the hallways. A deep silence lay over the
place, heavy and thick, as though even time had been put to sleep.

Narrrator 5: He continues forward, his boots echoing on the marble. He reaches the grand door.

(Prince Leander enters the room)

Prince Leander: By the stars… could there ever be a sight more divine?

Narrator 5: There she lay, Princess Elyana. Her features untouched by time. The prince,
trembling with admiration and awe, gazed upon her and knew—this was the one for whom he
had journeyed.

(Prince Leander walks slowly towards Princess Elyana, and will touch Princess Elyana’s hand)
(After the touch, Princess Elyana will slowly wake up)

Narrator 5: And with that touch, the years of slumber came to an end. The spell, woven so long
ago, unraveled with the prince’s touch. Time, at last, resumed its course.

Princess Elyana: Is it you, dear prince? You have been long in coming…
Prince Leander: You knew I would come?
Princess Elyana: In my dreams, you were always there. I have waited for you… for so long.
And now, at last, you are here.
Prince Leander: I do not have the words. I have longed for adventure, but now I see that love is
the true reward.
Princess Elyana: And I, dear prince, have dreamt of your coming. The fairy’s magic gave me
dreams of you. I knew that when the time came, you would wake me.
Prince Leander: I was born for this moment. To find you, to break the spell that bound you. And
now that I have… I will never leave your side.

Narrator 5 : Thus, in the quiet of that enchanted room, two hearts found one another, breaking
the curse that had bound Princess Elyana for a century.

Prince Leander: The world may have changed, but our story is just beginning.

Narrator 5: And so, the spell was broken. The castle, once frozen in time, awoke with the prince
and the princess at its heart.
SCENE 7:

Narrator 6: With the awakening of the princess, so too did the entire palace stir from its
century-long slumber. After the awakening of Princess Elyana, the entire palace decided to
celebrate and welcome her. Prince Leander and Princess Elyana eventually sealed their love with
matrimony, and had a beautiful daughter named Dawn, and a son whom they named Day.

Narrator 5: However, after finding his true love at the palace, he has yet to come back to his
parents at the kingdom. One day, he decides to pay his parents a visit after a long time.

Princess Elyana: It feels like the dawn of a new era. But you must go, my prince. Duty calls you
away from this sanctuary.
Prince Leander: How I wish I could remain here, with you. But, I have to attend to my
responsibilities.

Princess Elyana: You have a kingdom that awaits your guidance. And I… I will wait here, for
your return.

Prince Leander:
I will come back to you. No matter the challenges I face.

(Prince Leander embraces Princess Elyana and exits the room.)

(quick set change to kingdom)

King Harold: (Embracing his son warmly) Leander! My boy, you are back. We were so
concerned for your safety.
Prince Leander: (lying) Father, I am well. I lost my way during the hunt and found refuge with
a charcoal burner.
King Harold: Ah, the trials of a hunter. It is good to have you back. We missed you.

(The Queen Morgana, observing from the sidelines, narrows her eyes, her suspicions growing.
After Prince Leander leaves, she approaches Kind Harold, her voice filled with concern.)

Queen Morgana: A charcoal burner’s tale, you say? It seems rather… convenient.
King Harold: Morgana, he is likely caught up in his hunts. There’s nothing to worry about.

Queen Morgana: He’s been away far too often. I sense there’s more to these absences.

Narrator 1: Time, however, does not stand still for love. And while his father accepted his tales
of hunting excursions, Queen Morgana saw through the cracks.

(King Harold leaves the scene)

Queen Morgana: (With growing frustration) You hunt too often, my son. And yet you return
empty-handed. Do you think I do not notice?
Prince Leander: (Avoiding her gaze) Mother, I—
Queen Morgana: Do not insult me with lies. I know there is more to your wanderings.
Queen Morgana: You’ve been elusive. Tell me the truth—what is it that keeps you away from
your duties?
Prince Leander: (Trying to remain calm) Mother, you worry too much. I am fulfilling my duties
as a prince.I have nothing to hide. I have responsibilities.
(pause)
Queen Morgana: You must not forget that I am not merely a queen but a woman of formidable
lineage.
Narrator 3: For Queen Morgana was not just any queen. Whispers in the court spoke of her
lineage—a lineage of ogres, with an insatiable hunger for flesh. Those who knew the truth feared
her presence, especially when children and teenagers were near.
SCENE 8

Narrator 4: Many years passed. The couple’s children had grown. However, Queen Morgana,
the mother of the prince, eventually knew about his secret. The prince decided to admit his secret
to his mother. But , Princess Elyana had doubts about this.

Queen Morgana: (sarcastic) Leander, what a splendid display! Your marriage has certainly
brought much joy to the kingdom.
King Leander: (Smiling warmly) Thank you, Mother.
Morgana: (With a hint of sarcasm) I trust you will find that ruling is as fulfilling as it is
challenging. But for now, I have to leave.
King Morgana: Good bye, mother. (bows)
Morgana:(leaves the palace)
(Princess Elyana enters the room)
Princess Elyana: Leander, I feel that all is not as perfect as it seems. Your mother’s demeanor
unsettles me.
King Leander: (sigh) Mother has always been… complicated.
Princess Elyana: I understand. But her behavior, it seems to hint at a deeper issue.
( they pause )
Princess Elyana: (Concerned) What troubles you, Leander? You seem preoccupied.
King Leander: (Frustrated) I fear there may be more to mother’s discontent. If we are to
succeed, we must be vigilant.
Princess Elyana: We will face whatever challenges come our way together.
King Leander: (Sighing) You are right. We must remain united and strong.
(The scene fades out as the royal couple embraces, their resolve strengthened by their shared
commitment. The stage darkens, leaving a sense of anticipation for the challenges that lie ahead.)
Narrator : Thus began a new chapter for the kingdom. As King Leander and Queen Elyana
faced the intricacies of rule. Their love and unity would be tested.

SCENE 9

Narrator 1: One day, a war broke out at the distant lands. King Leander was tasked to lead the
army and defend their kingdom. He would have to leave Princess Elyana with his evil mother.

King Leander: My beloved princess, I must ride out to face the enemy. You and the children
will be safe here under my mother’s care.
Princess Elyana: (Tearfully) Leander, I am afraid for you. Please return to us quickly.
King Leander: (With a reassuring smile) I will.
Dawn: Father, will you bring me a gift?
King Leander: (Bending down to her level) I promise I will, my little star.
(King Leander embraces them and leaves the room)

Narrator 1:
As King Leander sets forth to war, the true nature of Queen Morgana’s dark desires surfaces.
(quick set change to dinner table)

Queen Morgana: (Turning sharply) Alistair, the time has come. I expect my dinner to be
prepared.
(pause)
Queen Morgana: I want little Dawn for dinner. Prepare her with the finest sauce.
Chief Steward Alistair: (Shocked and horrified) Madam, this is… this is unthinkable. She is
just a teen.

Queen Morgana: That is my will. I expect it to be perfect, or you shall face my wrath.

(Chief Steward Alistair bows and exits, his face pale. The scene shifts to Dawn in her room,
playing innocently. Chief Steward Alistair enters, carrying a large knife. He struggles to hide his
anguish.)

(quick set change to room)

Dawn: (Running up to him with a bright smile) Hello, Mr. Alistair!

Chief Steward Alistair: (Trembling) Hello, little one.

Dawn: Are you alright, Mr. Alistair? You look sad.

Chief Steward Alistair: (With a broken voice) I’m… I’m just tired, dear. Come follow me, I
have something to show you.

(they go to the side, and Alistair meets Evelyn)

Chief Steward Alistair: (Whispering urgently to Evelyn) Evelyn, I can’t do it. I’ve hidden the
knife. We must save her.
Evelyn: (Alarmed) What do you mean?

Chief Steward Alistair: (His voice cracking)

The queen’s orders are monstrous. We must protect Dawn. Hide her in the cellar.
Evelyn: (Nodding)

(The stage shows Chief Steward Alistair standing in the queen’s kitchen, his face etched with
distress. Evelyn, his wife, is also present. The kitchen is busy, with staff preparing various dishes.
Alistair grips the knife tightly, looking
Around in desperation.)
Chief Steward Alistair:
(Looking around)
I’ll find a lamb. I’ll use it instead and prepare it as if it were Dawn.

(The scene shifts to the dining hall where Queen Morgana is seated, waiting for her meal. Alistair
and Evelyn enter, carrying the tray.)

Queen Morgana: (Enthusiastically) Ah, the meal at last. I’m starving. What have you prepared
for me?

Chief Steward Alistair:

(Attempting to sound calm) Your Majesty, we have a special dish for you tonight. I hope it meets
your expectations.

Queen Morgana:
(With a gleeful smile) I’m sure it will. You always manage to please me.

(Chief Steward Alistair uncovers the tray, revealing the lamb. Queen Morgana eagerly takes a
bite.)

Queen Morgana: Delicious! This is exquisite, Alistair. You have outdone yourself.

Chief Steward Alistair: (With a forced smile) Thank you, Your Majesty. I’m pleased you are
satisfied.
(Queen Morgana continues to enjoy her meal, while Alistair and Evelyn exchange a glance, their
expressions full of silent worry.)

SCENE 10

Narrator 1: Eight Days after the queen’s ghastly feast, Queen Morgana, set her eyes on a new
target. This time, her desire Princess Elyana’s young son, Day.

(The scene opens in the opulent chamber of Queen Morgana. She sits upon an extravagant chaise
longue, her eyes glinting with malice. Chief Steward Alistair stands before her, his face a mix of
dread and resolve. The room is heavy with an ominous atmosphere.)

Queen Morgana: (With a sinister smile) Alistair, I’ve a new craving tonight. I demand Day for
my supper.

Chief Steward Alistair: Your Majesty, as you wish. I shall attend to it immediately.
Queen Morgana: (Smiling wickedly) See that it’s prepared to perfection. I desire a feast worthy
of my long wait.

(quick scene change)

Evelyn:
(Speaking softly, trying to mask her worry)
Come along, young prince. Let’s find a new game to play outside, just for a little while.
Day: (Giggling, his eyes sparkling) What game?
Evelyn: A special one. But we need to be very quiet and careful, alright?
(As little Day follows Evelyn, Chief Steward Alistair enters, his face a storm of sorrow and
resolve. He carefully lifts Little Day into his arms, holding him close.)
Chief Steward Alistair: (To Evelyn, in a hushed tone) We must act quickly. I cannot allow her
the queen to harm the boy.
Evelyn: What will we do, Alistair?
Chief Steward Alistair: I’ll need to deceive the queen once more. There’s a young lamb in the
barn. I’ll kill it and prepare it in place of the child.
Chief Steward Alistair: (To little Day, softly) Stay hidden here with your sister. It’s crucial for
your safety.
Chief Steward Alistair: (Muttering to himself) Forgive me, little one. I hope this act of deceit
buys them time.

(quick scene change to dining table)

Queen Morgana: (Impatiently) At last! My supper must be perfect.

Chief Steward Alistair: (Bowing deeply) Your Majesty, I present your meal with the utmost
care.
Queen Morgana: Ah, this is divine! This feast is indeed worthy of a queen’s table.
Chief Steward Alistair: Thank you, Your Majesty. I am pleased you are satisfied.
(Chief Steward Alistair leaves the palace, finds Princess Elyana along the way)

Princess Elyana: Good day, Alistair. What brings you here? Are my children well during my
leave?
Chief Steward Alistair: (panicking) Your Majesty, the evil queen has bad intentions and
commanded me to prepare them as her meal. I hid them in the basement instead to protect them.
Princess Elyana: My poor children! Bring me to them now, Alistair!

(Chief Steward Alistair bring Princess Elyana, and when they meet they embrace each other
while the narrator speaks)

Narrator 4: Once more, Queen Morgana’s insatiable hunger is momentarily satisfied. As the
night falls, the fate of the hidden children remains uncertain, their lives resting on the edge of a
knife.
SCENE 11

Narrator 1:
The final reckoning has arrived. The Queen Morgana plans to deceive the king upon his return.
Little does she know, her cruel intentions are about to unravel.

Queen Morgana: (Freezing in place, her eyes narrowing) What is this? A cry from the
shadows… those voices… (Her eyes widen as she recognizes the sound of Day’s voice. Fury
consumes her as she storms toward the basement stairs, her cloak billowing like a dark storm.)
Queen Morgana:
(Venomously) I’ve been tricked! They are alive! Alive beneath my very nose! will make you all
suffer for this betrayal! (Shouting) Where are they? Where are my prey?
Chief Steward Alistair: (Desperately) Your Majesty, please! I beg you, we did it to save lives.
The queen is hidden safely!
Queen Morgana: You have all played your tricks, deceiving me, mocking my power! But no
more. I will rid myself of you all, and my kingdom shall be free of traitors!
(Princess Elyana , Day, Dawn, Alistair try to run away)
Queen Morgana: (Snarling) You thought you could hide from me? No one escapes my wrath!
Princess Elyana: (Struggling) Please, Morgana. They’re just children. Your vengeance has gone
too far.
Queen Morgana: (Laughing cruelly) Too far? My dear, we are far beyond redemption. Your
family will pay the price for daring to defy me!
(She shoves Elyana and her children back in the room, Alistair takes a step forward, his voice
desperate.)
Chief Steward Alistair: (To Morgana, pleading) Please, Your Majesty, I beg you. You’ve
already taken so much. Don’t condemn innocent children.
Queen Morgana: There is no innocence in betrayal, Alistair. And you will join them in their fate
if you dare speak against me again.
(King Leander together with Christmark and Ethan arrive at the scene)

King Leander: (Yelling) What is the meaning of this? Mother, stop this madness at once!

(The entire courtyard freezes. Queen Morgana stiffens, her eyes narrowing as she turns to face
her son.
Queen Morgana:Ah, Leander. You return just in time to witness the end of your pitiful family.

King Leander:Mother, you have lost your senses! How could you even think of such cruelty?
Queen Morgana: No, my son. This is justice. The weak cannot rule. I must rid this kingdom of
its frailty.
King Leander:Mother… please, let this madness end. You do not have to do this.
Queen Morgana: You dare to challenge me, Leander? I was born to rule! This kingdom was
mine… I shall take what is rightfully mine!
( Hold her knife against the Princess’ throat.)
King Leander: (Shouting, desperate) Mother! You’re not yourself! You’ve let the darkness
consume you!
Queen Morgana: (Snarling, her voice filled with venom) I will show you the true power of an
ogre queen!
(Leander grabs his sword)
Princess Elyana: (Screaming from the sidelines) Leander! No! Please, don’t do this!
(Tears stream down Elyana’s face as she watches her husband face off against his own mother,
but she knows there is no turning back now.)
King Leander: Then I will defend what is mine!
Queen Morgana: You were never strong enough, Leander. I made you, and I can destroy you!
(Morgana pushes princess Elyana aside and fights Leander)
King Leander: I am strong enough! Stronger than you ever were, Mother! And that’s why you
fear me!
(As the fight intensifies, Morgana grabs a stone column and hurls it at Leander, but he dodges
just in time. Leander uses the moment to strike, driving his sword deep into Morgana’s side. She
lets out a blood-curdling scream, her monstrous form staggering back.)
(everyone lets out a gasp)

Princess Elyana: LEANDER!!

Queen Morgana: (Snarling in pain, her voice weakening)

You… will never win. You cannot kill me, Leander. I am your blood! I am your queen! (falls
down)

King Leander:
No, Mother. You are a monster… and you’ve left me no choice.
(With one final, powerful swing, Leander knocks Morgana back toward the vat of writhing
vipers and snakes.
King Leander: (Tears streaming down his face, his voice breaking) Goodbye, Mother.

King Leander: (Whispering) Mother…

(Princess Elyana rushes to him, embracing him, her voice soft and filled with compassion.)

Princess Elyana:
She was consumed by her own darkness, Leander. You could not save her. But you saved us, our
children.

(The silence in the courtyard weighs heavily as Leander stands still, the grief of losing his
mother clouding his face. Elyana holds him tightly, as though tethering him to the world.)
King Leander: But what have I done? I couldn’t reach her.
(pause)
(A small, trembling voice breaks the silence. Little Day, still clinging to his sister, looks up at his
father.)
Day: (Innocently) Papa… is the bad lady gone now? Are we safe?
(King Leander kneels down, his grief momentarily forgotten as he scoops his son and daughter
into his arms. His Eyes fill with tears, not of sorrow but of relief.
King Leander: (Softly) Yes, my son. You are safe now.
Princess Elyana: We’re together. That’s what matters now.

Narrator: The storm broke, giving way to a calm that none had believed would come. Queen
Morgana’s reign of terror had come to its end.
King Leander: (Standing, addressing the gathered people in the room) Good people of this
kingdom… We have endured great tragedy. But we have also endured. My mother, Queen
Morgana, is no more. From this moment, we shall rebuild.
Master Arlo:
(Raising his sword in salute) Long live the king! Long live the queen!
People in the crowd:: (Longing for peace and unity) Long live the king! Long live the queen!

(In the midst of the celebration, Queen Elyana watches as the people cheer. She smiles, but there
is a quiet understanding in her eyes. She steps toward King Leander, who stands among the
crowd, but his face still holds the shadow of what has passed.)
Queen Elyana: (Softly, as she takes his hand) You’ve given them hope again, Leander. But now
you must forgive yourself.
King Leander: You’re right. I must look forward, not back. The darkness is behind us.
(The king, queen, and their children stand together as a family, united in strength and love, while
the remnants of Queen Morgana’s shadow finally disappear into the past.)

(while narrator speaks, the family embrace each other)

Narrator 1: And so, the kingdom was brought back to light. Together, King Leander, Queen
Elyana, and their children would rule with kindness and justice.

Narrator 2 (April) :The tale of betrayal and redemption had come to its end. And though the
past may forever linger in memory, it is in the future that the kingdom would thrive, in the hands
