will have all the basic amenities and it will attract the young tourists coming for adventure. Their
conical tent is 9 m high and the radius of its base is 12 m.

Bases on the information, answer the following questions. Use [𝜋 = 3.14]


(i) What is the cost of the canvas required to make it, if 1 m2 canvas costs ₹ 10?
(ii) How many persons can be accommodated in the tent, if each person requires 2 m2 on the
ground?
(iii) How many persons can be accommodated in the tent, if each person requires 15 m3 of
space to breathe in?

If 100 persons can be accommodated in the tent and each person requires 20 m3 of space
to breathe in, then how much space is left in the tent?
24. The front compound wall of a house is decorated by wooden spheres of diameter 21 cm, placed
on small supports as shown in figure. 25 such spheres are used for this purpose and are to be
