Lesson Recap
The objective of this Fun Sheet is to help you become aware of your limiting
beliefs and transform them into more supportive Time Genius beliefs.
• Your self-talk is the internal and external expression of your current
beliefs, attitudes, and mindset. What you say to yourself about time
either reinforces your brain to stay trapped in Time Stress or rewires it to
become a Time Genius.
• Our brains are malleable and programmable. We have the power to
change the physical structure of our brains, and change our time
mindset!
• The key to rewiring your brain and changing your self-talk for good is
deceptively simple: repetition of your new Time Genius beliefs.

• Neurons that fire together, wire together. The more frequently you fire
neurons through repetition — thinking, speaking, and behavior — the more
permanent that new brain wiring becomes.
• You can fast-track a change in your Time Stress mindset. ”I’m SO
overwhelmed,” becomes, “I don’t DO overwhelm.”
• In fact, using the word “don’t” rather than “can’t” is scientifically proven to
make self-talk 8x more effective. So I DO recommend that you phrase your
mantras with “DON’T!”
• Step 1 in becoming a Time Genius is shifting your mindset and upgrading your
beliefs from the inside out.
We’re going to do just that in the exercises on the next page!
How to Use This Fun Sheet:
1) This Fun Sheet is editable, which means you can type your
work right into the document and save your changes. You’ll
need a PDF reader to do this. We recommend Adobe Acrobat
Reader (grab it for free here).
2) Open your Fun Sheet in Adobe Acrobat Reader before you
begin. Type a few words into a field, hit save, close the PDF,
then reopen to check that your work has officially been saved.
3) Just because you can save your work in the PDF doesn’t mean
you have to. You can also use this as a guide for writing in your
journal or print it out and complete it by hand!

The Power of Belief
In order to solve any problem or achieve any dream — including transforming
our toxic, Time-Stressed lives into the joyful life of a Time Genius — we must
first make a change at the level of belief.
Beliefs are the hidden scripts that run our lives. They shape our thoughts and
feelings and are the root of our reality and our results. Our creation formula
looks like this:
BELIEFS → THOUGHTS → FEELINGS → ACTIONS → R E S U LT S
This is such a foundational concept, I devote an entire chapter to
it in Everything is Figureoutable.
If you haven’t read it yet, please read and do the exercises in
Chapter 3: “The Magic of Belief.”
When you change a belief, you change everything. So let’s change some
negative Time Stress beliefs right now.
Exercise 1 will help you uncover some of your current conscious and
unconscious time beliefs.
Don’t judge or criticize your responses. Just notice and observe. Remember,
we’re curious, creative scientists in this program. Facing our limiting Time
Stress beliefs is the first step to erasing and replacing them with the abundant
mindset of a Time Genius.

1 Uncover Your Time Stress Beliefs
What negative thoughts have stopped you from mastering your relationship
with time until now? What limiting beliefs — about yourself, others, the world,
or time itself — have stood in the way of living a life of joy, meaning, and
accomplishment?
Use the following categories and examples to guide your thinking.
Time/Reality
Example: “There just aren’t enough hours in the day.”

Example: “I’m a procrastinator by nature.”

2 Call B.S. On Those Beliefs
Now here’s the fun part. Go back to your answers in Step 1, cross out each
negative or limiting belief, and write “BULLSHOOEY” next to each one. (I’m
serious! Do not move on to Step 3 until you’ve done this.)
H I N T : A deeper, wiser part of you already knows those limiting beliefs are
bullshooey — otherwise you wouldn’t have joined this program.

3 Reframe Like A Time Genius
TIME GENIUS TRUTH:
Until your negative self-talk about time is erased
and replaced with healthier Time Genius self-talk, it will
permanently limit and impact everything you try to do.
Take each negative belief above and reframe it into the exact opposite
perspective. For example, “There’s never enough time,” becomes, “There’s
always time for what’s most important.”
It’s okay if you don’t feel it yet. With repetition, you’ll rewire your brain and
replace your negative self-talk with these truths — and behave accordingly.
For now, here’s a clean space to write those shiny new beliefs.

4 Erase The Tape & Create Your Mantra
In this lesson, I shared my #1 limiting self-talk tape, “I’m so overwhelmed,”
and how I erased and replaced it with my life-changing mantra, “I don’t do
overwhelm.”
So what’s the #1 negative time tape that’s currently on repeat in YOUR head?
Is it overwhelm? Guilt? Procrastination? Looking at your phone when you
wake up? Filling your calendar with random meetings? Something else?
Starting right now, you’re going to give yourself a huge advantage by
erasing and replacing that belief using this simple sentence stem, “I don’t
______________________.”
For example, you could experiment with:
I don’t do procrastination.
I don’t do guilt. (Lookin’ at you, parents!)
I don’t look at my phone when I wake up.
I don’t say yes to random meetings with no agenda.
I don’t work past 5:30pm.
I don’t watch more than 30 minutes of TV a day.

5 Envision Your Success
Now imagine, who would you be without this limiting belief? What would
be different in your life if you were incapable of ever thinking that negative,
small-minded belief again? How might you behave differently in your
relationships or at work? What might change for you physically, emotionally,
mentally, financially, or spiritually? Really imagine yourself without this belief
and describe your reality from that place.
Any time you catch yourself moving in that same repetitive emotional
thought loop — simply pause and say your mantra. Remember: Time Geniuses
don’t beat themselves up. We have enormous self-compassion.

6 Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
The brain believes whatever you tell it most. This is not science fiction, this
is science fact. Repeat your new Time Genius beliefs/mantras regularly, and
prepare to be shocked when they become your lived reality.
Let’s do one together right now, using the #1 core Time Genius belief as an
example.
Exercise Instructions
Go to a quiet place. Find a place that’s your own, whether it’s your backyard,
your favorite park, your bedroom, even in the shower with the water running
if you’re shy.
Shut off your phone, close email and eliminate all distractions.
Now say the following out loud:
There’s always time for what’s most important.
There’s always time for what’s most important.
There’s always time for what’s most important.
There’s always time for what’s most important.
There’s ALWAYS time for what’s most important!!!
Don’t just think it or mouth it. Say it out loud and say it like you mean it. Say
it with conviction. Say it with enthusiasm. Say it with chutzpah! The more
emotion you put in, the better. Emotions generate a flood of neurochemicals
and hormones which condition your body and mind on a deep and
permanent level.

Finally — and this is important — make a regular, daily practice of repeating
this and ALL of your own new beliefs/mantras. To hardwire them into your
head and heart, try...

...until you believe them on a soul level.
How will you know when that happens? Well, remember my “I don’t DO
overwhelm” example? It started out a “fake it ‘til you make it” situation. I’d
work myself into an overwhelmed frenzy and have to catch myself, pause, and
repeat, “I don’t DO overwhelm,” like I was desperately grabbing for a life raft.
Today, overwhelm is now simply foreign to me. As foreign as if someone
asked me to go murder my neighbor. I’d be like, “Uh NO. Are you crazy? I
don’t do murder.”
Have patience. Changing your beliefs and your behaviors isn’t an overnight
process. It’s going to happen over time. You need to have grace with yourself.
Being a Time Genius is a PRACTICE. Just like you can’t do yoga once and
expect to stay flexible for life, you can’t say a mantra once and expect to
completely rewrite your brain by dinnertime.

Write down your plan to repeat your new Time Genius beliefs/mantras.
For example, “I will repeat, ‘I don’t DO guilt’ 30 times when I brush my teeth,
morning and night.” Commit to this practice every day for at least the next 30
days. Practice makes permanent.
