Course Objectives and Outcomes: This course introduces the use of statistical methods and tools
in evaluating data for business and management decision making. Emphasis will be given on the
basic concepts of Statistics, data analysis, central tendency, correlation and regression analysis,
index numbers and time series analysis. Students will be exposed to these topics and how each
applies to and can be used in the business environment. Students will master problem solving using
both manual computations and statistical software. Upon completion of this course, students will be
able to apply statistical knowledge in solving problems regarding business.
