Mustafa is settling in well at school.
He is socially interactive with the stu-
dents and
has made a lot of friends. He is always cheerful and greets the class every
morning with a beautiful smile. He is also making great academic progress in
all his subjects. In Jolly Phonics, he is able to recognize and name all of the
sounds and vocabulary. Mustafa also traces very beautifully, and he is able to
write all the sounds and numbers we have taken so far very well without
dots. He is learning to blend three sounds into words but is still struggling to
connect them together. So, he will need some extra practice considering this
part of the lesson. In English Language class, Mustafa can identify and name
most of the vocabulary we have taken so far and is able to sometimes under-
stand the language but still struggles to use it. He is also doing amazingly
well in math, as he is able to count well in order and recognize the numbers
individually without help. He can also recognize some colours and shapes,
though he does tend to forget the shapes from time to time. He is also able to
match the numbers to their correct quantities. He completes his classwork
really well and always delivers complete homework. His school punctuality
and school attendance are also both outstanding. Overall, I am very proud of
Mustaf, and I hope he can keep making great academic progress in the
second half of the school year.
Thank you for the help and support at home. It is really appreciated.
Fatema is fitting in well at school, as she is now making friends and adapting well
in class. She used to cry every morning, but now she shows us a smile when she
walks in the room. She has also been making friends and expanding her social
circle. She is quite active in class, as she likes to answer loudly and tease her class-
mates. Fatema has been absent for a while, so unfortunately, I can’t evaluate her.
However, I can still give you a brief written comment on her academic progress. In
Jolly Phonics, Fatema has been able to name some of the sounds we have taken so
far, but she still struggles with the words associated with the sound. She is learning
to blend sounds, but she still struggles to connect them together into a word on
her own. But we will keep practicing until she is able to figure them out. She traces
very beautifully and is able to write sounds and numbers without dots very well. In
English Language class, Fatema can identify and name some of the vocabulary we
have taken so far, though she can sometimes be forgetful too. She is also learning
to use the language, as she is sometimes able to understand it but still struggles to
use it. She has also been making and showing better progress in maths this month,
as before, Fatema was not able to recognize any numbers, colours or shapes. How-
ever, now she is able to count well in order and recognize some of the numbers
individually, though she does forget and needs to be reminded from time to time.
She is also learning the names of the colours and shapes. She is able to match the
numbers to their correct quantity, which is a great improvement compared to the
start of the year. Fatema completes classwork very well and always delivers com-
plete homework. Overall, Fatema started out with a low start this semester but has
been slowly making some good improvements throughout the months. I hope she
