1. Write the history of Mathematician G.W.Leibnitz.

5. If 𝑦 = (tan 𝑥 ) prove that (𝑥 + 1) 𝑦 + 2𝑥 (𝑥 + 1)𝑦 = 2.
6. If 𝑦 = 3𝑒 + 2𝑒 then, prove that –5 + 6𝑦 = 0.
7. The length x of a rectangle is decreasing at the rate of 5cm/min and the width y is increasing
at the rate of 4cm/min. When 𝑥 = 8𝑐𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑦 = 6𝑐𝑚, find the rate of change of change of
i) the perimeter and ii) the area of the rectangle.
