DEVELOPMENTAL TASK
ERICK ERICKSON'S STAGE OF PSYCHOSOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
The Psychosocial development of Erick Erickson is a phrase that refers to an individual need.
There are eight stages that gives us a means to see a person's growth over the course of their life.
Each stage, we are confronted with such a crisis. It builds psychological characteristics or
strengths that help us become confident and healthy persons as we go along to the challenges.
The growth of an individual in social and occupational situations requires proper cognitive
engagement and talents.

JEAN PIAGET'S STAGES OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
The Cognitive development of Jean Piaget focuses on how can individual become able to think
logically and scientifically. Piaget proposed four major stages and these are, sensorimotor
intelligence as the first stage, pre operational thinking as second stage, concrete operational
thinking as third stage and the final stage is the formal operational thinking. Each stage is
correlated with an age period of childhood.

SIGMUND FREUD'S PSYCHOSEXUAL DEVELOPMENT
According to this theory, children progress through a series of stages during which their focus of
pleasure and satisfaction shifts from different body parts, known as erogenous zones. Freud
proposed that unresolved conflicts and traumas during these early stages can lead to
psychological problems in adulthood. Overall, psychosexual theory suggests that a child's early
experiences can have a significant impact on their adult personality and behavior and that
understanding these experiences can help us understand and treat psychological problems in
adulthood.

Where in earlier stages the
focus was solely on individual
needs, interest in the welfare
of others grows during this
stage. The goal of this stage is
to establish a balance
between the various life areas.
According to Freud, this is
when an individual begins to

LAWRENCE KOHLBERG'S STAGES OF MORAL DEVELOPMENT
The moral development theory of Kohlberg played an important role in the emergence of the
field of moral psychology. This theory focuses on the thinking process that occur when individual
decides whether a behavior is right or wrong. It has three level of moral thinking or reasoning
and each level is associated with six increasingly complex stages.

JAMES FOWLER'S STAGES OF FAITH DEVELOPMENT
The Fowler's Stages of Faith Development form a framework for the spiritual development of
people throughout their lives. The model was developed by theologian James W. Fowler. He
argues that the development of people's spiritual awareness runs parallel to other aspects of
human development. He thus suggests that spirituality is a basic aspect of human existence. Just
like cognition, social behavior or motor skills. James Fowler does not define faith and religion as a
single correct religion, but as a way of interacting with the universe and creating meaning in life.
