WARM UP (MAXIMUM OF 5 MINUTES)

-Hello there! Can you see and hear me clearly?

-My name is Teacher ______ and I will be your teacher today. May I know your name?
-Nice to meet you. Can you please tell me a bit about yourself, May I know, are you working or still studying?
-Great! May I know what is your job/major?
-Your job/major sounds great! What do you enjoy most about it?
-I really appreciate you sharing that with me. Speaking of enjoyment, how do you usually like to spend your
weekends or your free time?
-Different people have different ways to relax, it’s always attractive for me to discover how people enjoy their
free time. Some of my students are fans of watching comedy to relax themselves. May I know whether you
like watching this kind of TV program also?
-That’s engaging to know! It’s always interesting to hear students’ preferences and how they relax. Now that
we’ve got to know a bit about you, let’s move on to discussing the exam details.
-Why do you want to take IELTS?
-Is this your first time taking the exam?
-What is your target score?
-When will be your exam day?
-Since this is your first time taking IELTS, are you already familiar with the parts of the test?
Ok, so let’s review the format of the test a bit. In part 1 of the IELTS exam, the examiner will ask you for
your ID and your name, and then ask you about either work and study, or a topic related to accommodation
such as where you’re living at the moment, your accommodation, your hometown, or your home. Then the
examiner will ask you simple questions about one or two more topics, to which you will need to give short
answers.
In part 2, the examiner will give you a topic. You have 1 minute to prepare and make some notes, and
then you have to speak for 1 to 2 minutes about it. This means that you need to speak at length, and it’s better
if you structure your answer well, so that the examiner can understand what you mean better.
After that, in part 3, you will need to answer some more difficult questions about the same topic. This
will usually include complex questions where you will need to talk about what you think might happen, or
things should change in society. Although there is no set length for answers in this section, you should try to
give slightly longer and more detailed answers than in part 1. 5-6 sentences are usually appropriate.
In all the parts of the test, the examiner will focus on assessing your language ability and how well you
can express information and opinions. Therefore, it is important to make the English you use not just as
accurate as possible, but also interesting. Do you have any questions?

FULL MOCK TEST (MAXIMUM OF 14 MINUTES)

-We’ll be doing a full mock test like the real exam, I need to make sure time spent on each part is appropriate,
so don’t worry if I stop you, it’s normal in the real exam as well.
-Are you ready?

-I’d like to start by asking you about _____.

-Now let us talk about ____.

-And your last topic in part 1 is about _____.

-That ends our part 1 questions. Now, I’m going to give you a topic and I’d like you to talk about it for 1 to 2
minutes. You have 1 minute to think about what you’re going to say, and you can make some notes if you
wish.
-Hold on, let me send you the card in the chat window.

(TEACHER WILL SEND THE WHOLE TOPIC TO THE STUDENT THROUGH THE ZOOM CHAT WINDOW)
-Do you see it?
-I’d like you to describe ____________
-You have 1 minute to prepare, and I will be back after 1 minute.

(IN THIS PART, WHILE THE STUDENT IS GIVEN 1 MINUTE PREPARING, TEACHER WILL FILL UP THE SCORING)

-Alright, your 1 minute is over and now you have 2 minutes to discuss your answer and don’t worry if I stop
you. I’ll tell you when the 2 minutes is up.
-Can you start speaking now please?

(IN THIS PART, STUDENT WILL SPEAK FOR 2 MINUTES AND TEACHER WILL TAKE SOME NOTES FROM
STUDENT’S ANSWER)

-Alright, your 2 minutes is over. Thank you.

-We’ve been talking about ______, and now I’d like to ask some more general questions related to this. The
first question is…
-That ends our full mock test. Congratulations! Well done! How did you feel about your answers?
-What do you think is the most difficult part of the exam? Part 1, part 2, or part 3?
-Since you are having a hard time in that part, let me help you with it.
-Let me just share my screen with you.
-Can you see the screen? Is it clear?

ANSWER CORRECTION (MAXIMUM OF 25 MINUTES)

-How do you feel about your answer now?
-Do you think the method is effective?
-Do you have any questions about this method?
-Great! If you don’t have any further questions, I will now proceed to your BAND SCORE FEEDBACK.

BAND SCORE FEEDBACK (MAXIMUM OF 5 MINUTES)

-Based on your performance on your mock test a while back, you got a score of ______
(IN THIS PART TEACHER WILL READ THE SCORE IN EACH CRITERIA)
-Now, let us scan through the requirements needed. For ________ the requirements are______
(IN THIS PART TEACHER WILL READ THE REQUIREMENTS AND GIVE SUGGESTIONS AND EXPLAINT TO STDUENT
WHY TEACHER GAVE THAT SUGGESTION – Indicate mistakes committed by student during mocktest)
-Overall, I want you to prioritize _____
(IN THIS PART, TEACHER WILL TELL WHAT THE STUDENT SHOULD PRIORITIZE)
-Do you have any questions?
-Obviously you still have a lot of things to develop but rest assured that I will do my best to help you develop
everything that you need before your exam. We all know that IELTS is not very flexible in terms of their
requirements. They strictly follow the standards they set just like what I mentioned earlier so it would greatly
benefit you to still have a practice before taking the exam and have someone professionally guiding you and in
order to overcome your weaknesses, we would like to suggest this course plan.

COURSE PLAN (SPEND YOUR REMAINING TIME TO MAKE SURE CLASS WILL BE 50
MINUTES)
-Your mocktest score is _______
-Your target score is _______
-Your preparation time is _______
-The suggested class frequency is _______
-The suggested class number is _______
-For your practice mode, it would be part by part. This means that we will study a specific part in each class.
Part 1 in one class, Part 2 in another class, and part 3 in another class. This will help you concentrate on each
class.
-For part 1 and part 3, the teaching strategy is independent topic teaching. This means that when our class is
part 1 or part 3, we will focus on a specific topic.
-For part 2, our teaching strategy will be merging topics. This means that I will help you create one storyline
that you can use to answer several part 2 topics. It can help you maximize the time.
-Do you have any questions?
- You still have enough time for your preparation which is perfect for you to still have classes. It would always
be great to be guided by someone who knows the exact requirements needed. There would be a bigger
chance for you to pass so that after passing the exam you can work on other things needed for your plans. It is
very stressful taking the exam repeatedly so please try to maximize your remaining time. Don’t worry, I will do
my best in those few classes with you so you won’t have to take risk of taking the exam again.
(IN THIS PART, THE TEACHER WILL CLICK THE COMPLETE BUTTON)

-For your homework, please review the class report for this class and if your have some time, please preview
the content for the next class.
-Before we end the class, is there anything else you want to ask or clarify?
-I had a wonderful time teaching you. I hope this class was helpful and I would be more than happy to help
you in your next classes. I promise I will do whatever it takes to help you get your target score. Thank you for
your time. Goodbye.
