IMPORTANT TO READ

Hello my Dear Friend!

And hello again my Dear Friend,
If we have already met in my previous patterns (*how strange it is to write
"again"*). Yes, this is the third Cuddly Monster pattern-learning. And I am
incredibly happy to writing to you now Dear Crocheter! And if you're reading
this, it means you've decided to create a Froggy for warm cuddles with me!
I appreciate it so much with bottom of my heart! THANK YOU!

And yes, I know what you want to ask! ANNY DO YOU CROCHET WITH MORE
THAN FLUFFY YARN?! Hehehehehe!!! Unexpected? Actually, YES! And I can't
believe I decided to try crocheting my Monsters with a different yarn structure!
The experience of my two previous patterns-learning showed me that fluffy
yarn is really difficult to work with. I never stop repeating that, unfortunately,
I don't have any secret how to crochet with fluffy yarn. I just might share my
experience. Because working with fluffy yarn is about time, skill and patience.
And, of course, you will succeed with fluffy yarn! Just give yourself time!
But, at this stage of my crochet life, I decided to experiment. And here's what
I came up with - pattern for an incredibly cute Froggy in the design of
Valentine's Day, that I crocheted with plush yarn! But I want to say it again!
Friend, you are free to crochet with any yarn. YOU ARE THE CREATOR HERE,
and I am just your gentle guide on this crochet journey.

So, are you ready with your hook? Not yet? Then go get your
hook! We are going on this journey together again!

SALES & DESIGN CHANGES PERMISSION
This autumn, I decided that I wanted to teach people how to make Cuddly
Monsters! And I was right. It's so incredibly warming to see you with your
Monsters. And so of course, you can sell every Monster you make according
by my patterns. You create. I just help! You have your own crochet way. I am
just your guide. You give warmth to this world. I only give you a little support.

PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

I have invested a lot of energy and time in ALL my patterns, so I hope that you
will respect my efforts! So please do not share this pattern for free! Do not resell
the pattern! And do not copy it! THANK YOU!
ALSO this pattern is officially available for purchase ONLY on my Etsy

If you see my pattern on another platform for sale, it means that my pattern has
been stolen and resold illegally. I would be grateful if you could let me know
about IT. Because I will not simply ignore such disrespect for me and making
money off of other people's efforts and time. Appreciate yourself and your
efforts. Always. Never be silent. You can make the first step in changing
unfairness!

Row 18: 24 sc (24)
Row 19: (4 sc, 1 dec) x 4 (20)
Row 20: 20 sc (20)
Row 21: 2 sc (2)
we will not cut the thread, as we will continue to crochet with the same thread
a little later

IMPORTANT
But do not forget to fasten the threads INSIDE the body (if you see that there
are any threads, for example, from the leg)

- 14 -
ATTENTION
At this stage, we have two options. We may make our Froggy weighted, or we
may simply fill the Froggy's body with stuffing.

The first option that I want describe is how to weight the Froggy's body. For
this, we will need to sew a pad (next - weighted pad/pillow) for the glass
granules. Why do we need to sew this weighted pad, you ask? And I will answer
right away! For safety! We need to make sure that the glass granules do not fall
out of the crocheted Froggy's body.

How to make a safety weighted Froggy?

Cut out a rectangle from the velboa fabric by the size of the Froggy's body.
I have a Froggy's body size of 16 cm by 12 cm (6.3" x 4.7"). So, I need a rectangle
of fabric for a weighted pad size 32 cm by 12 cm (12.6" x 4.7"), because we will
be folding the fabric in half. So, fold fabric over.

- 15 -
Then the whole algorithm of sewing a weighted pad is here:

Photos 1-3 Fasten the thread on top.

Photo 4 Sew it like this.

Be careful not to make the stitches too wide so that

the glass granules do not fall out.

Photos 5-7 Sew to the bottom. Fasten the thread 2-3 times
Remember, your stitches don't have to be perfect!
Just look at my stitches.

Photo 8 Fasten the thread at the bottom from the other

side 2-3 times.

ATTENTION
Take such a length of thread that is enough to sew
this side and the top side of the weighted pad
Sew to the top of the pad. Do not make wide
stitches either.

Fasten the thread at the top.

Photo 9 Now fill. First with glass granules.

Photo 10 Now a little bit of stuffing.

Photo 11 More glass granules.

Photo 12 A little bit of stuffing.

Photo 13 And the last one fill with a little bit of glass
granules.

Photo 14 And now the stuffing to the end of our weighted

pad. Spread all the filler evenly.

Sew the top part and fasten the thread 2-3 times.

- 16 -
- 17 -
- 18 -
Weighted pad for the Froggy's body is ready

Now, before we put this weighed pillow in the Froggy's body, we do the
following:
- stretch the body a little;
- add a little filler in the corners of the Froggy's body (where the legs begin);

- now fill the Froggy's body with the weighed pillow.

IMPORTANT
Since the top of the crocheted body is narrower than the bottom where the legs
are, it can be a little difficult to fill the body with a weighted pillow! So, don't be
afraid to use a little force to do it!
- 19 -
- add filler on the sides of the Froggy's body for the right shape of the body
ALMOST READY
- and a last step - fold the detail in half and crochet 10 sc across to close
the body.

the body with 10 sc

We are getting closer and closer to our baby Froggy

ATTENTION

Now there will be a very short description second option for filling
Froggy's body!

- 20 -
SO, we just fill the body with stuffing without creating a weighted pad!
That's all!

Heart filled cookie

I crocheted a pocket on the Froggy's belly for different things! For hearts,
sweets or even a small bouquet of flowers! But you may see heart filled cookie
inside my Froggy's pocket. And I didn't come up with the pattern for these
cookies myself. I found this pattern on Instagram from incredibly talented artist!
Her Instagram - @lilislittleshop. So, if you want your Froggy to have such a
sweet cookie, you may follow the link and find this pattern here -
https://www.etsy.com/listing/763072880/crochet-pattern-with-chart-and-
video?ref=yr_purchases.
The author also made a video on YouTube with very detailed instructions -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3BBxplZB_w&t=26s.

IMPORTANT
The only thing is that I don't glue the parts of the cookie together like in the
original pattern, I sew them together!

- 23 -
How heart filled cookie look liked created by me

- 24 -
Bow (make 3 details)

The bow will consist of 3 details.

First part of bow

Row 1: 35 ch, start crocheting into the second chain from the hook - 34 sc, 1 ch,
turn the detail (34)

- 25 -
Rows 2-8: (7 rows) blo - 34 sc, 1 ch, turn the detail (34)
Row 9: blo - 34 sc (34)

here we will start crocheting all over the detail

like we do with the pocket (photos of process below)
1 ch, return on the first side and crocheting in any loops you see - 9 sc, 1 ch,
turn out and crocheting on the bottom side - 35 sc,

IMPORTANT
Use a smaller hook for the first loop of chain when you crocheted the bottom.
As when we crocheted the pocket.

turn out and now we crocheting on the other side - 9 sc, 1 ch. Seamless finish
off to first sc (like we end the pocket detail) *needle into the first sc, and then
blo the last sc previous row*.
Cut the thread and leave long tail.
- 26 -
The first detail for future Bow already looks so cute

- 27 -
Second part of bow
Row 1: 9 ch, start crocheting into the
second chain from the hook - 8 sc (8)
start crocheting all over the detail like we
do with the first detail, 1 ch, turn the detail -
2 sc on the first side,
1 ch, turn out and crocheting on the bottom
side - 9 sc, 1 ch, turn out and now we
crocheting on the other side - 2 sc, 1 ch.
Seamless finish off to first sc. Cut the thread
and leave long tail.

Third part of bow

Row 1: 71 ch, start crocheting into the second chain from the hook - 70 sc, 1 ch,
turn the detail (70)
Row 2: blo - 2 dec, 62 sc, 2 dec, 1 ch turn out the detail (66)
Row 3: blo - 2 dec, 58 sc, 2 dec, 1 ch turn out the detail (62)
Row 4: blo - 2 dec, 54 sc, 2 dec, 1 ch turn out the detail (58)
Row 5: blo - 2 dec, 50 sc, 2 dec, 1 ch turn out the detail (54)
Row 6: blo - 2 dec, 46 sc, 2 dec (50)
start crocheting all over the detail
1 ch, turn on the first side and crocheting in any loops you see - 7 sc, 1 ch, turn
out and crocheting on the bottom side - 71 sc, 1 ch turn out and now we
crocheting on the last side - 7 sc.
Seamless finish off to first sc. Cut and fasten the thread. Hide the tail into this
detail.

- 28 -
Also working with plush yarn, I do like this

F O R W H A T?
The fluffy base on the plush thread always crumbles, so I usually set fire to the
ends of the thread to avoid this.

The third detail for the Bow is the biggest

- 29 -
SEWING

BOW

STEP ONE
Take the bow part number 1. Fold the piece in half, facedown. Sew over the
back loops with 10-11 stitches. Fasten and cut the thread. Hide the tail of the
thread. Burn the end so that the fluffy base does not crumble. Turn it out. That's
what we got (photos below).

- 30 -
STEP TWO
Fold the bow piece number 1 like this (photo 1). This is the front side. Take the
piece number 2. Attach the piece number 2 so that the sewing place on the
piece number 1 and the piece number 2 matches (this will be on the back side.
This side will be used to sew our future bow to the Froggy's body). Pull part
number 2 around part number 1 with a little force (it should be tight enough).
Sew part number 2 using 3 stitches (photos 2-3). Fasten (photos 4-5) and cut
the thread. Hide the end of the thread inside the bow. The Bow for Froggy is
almost ready (photo 6).

- 31 -
STEP THREE
Take the bow piece number 3. Put it to our future bow with this side (pay
attention to how the ends of the bow piece number 3 are placed) (photo 1).
Now we need to insert the bow piece number 3 between the already sewn
together pieces number 1 and 2. Fold the end of the bow piece number 3 and
insert it (photo 2). A little more. And now insert the bow piece number
3 completely (photo 3). Smooth out the bow piece number 3. Ready Bow looks
so perfect (photo 4).

- 32 -
IMPORTANT
Be careful when you sew the details of the Bow with plush thread, because the
structure of such thread can be damaged. Therefore, it will be difficult to re-sew.
When I am not sure that I will be able to sew something at the first time, I sew
the details with cotton thread.

Also here is a short video how insert detail of bow number 3

Yes! YOU! DID! IT!

THE CUTEST BOW EVER CROCHETED BY THE CUTEST PERSON! BY YOU!

- 33 -
Eyes

Get ready with 4 knitting needles. And let's sew the eyes for our future Froggy
baby. If you did not fill the details of the Froggy's eyes at the crochet part, then
do not forget to fill them before sewing.

STEP ONE
Turn the Froggy's body over to this side. This
will be the front side of our Froggy (right
photo).

STEP TWO
Attach each eye in turn with the help of
knitting needles to the place of the corners of
the end of the Froggy's body (photo with
marks below).

- 34 -
STEP THREE
Make sure that the details are attached evenly.

STEP FOUR
Sew one eye around. Fasten and hide the thread in the Froggy's body.

- 35 -
And now you may already start to see your future Cuddly Froggy!

Pocket

Stretch the detail a little. We will attach the pocket to the Froggy's body with
the help of knitting needles this side of pocket detail (photo 1). Sew on all sides
except the top side (photo 2). Fasten and hide the thread in the Froggy's body
(photo 3).

- 36 -
Arms

STEP ONE
First, let's put the arms for our Froggy close to the body to see at what height
we want to sew them. I will sew them right above the pocket. Also, sew the arms
to the body these sides.
*please pay attention to which sides the ends of the threads are on*

STEP TWO
Attach the arms with the help of knitting needles. Make sure that the details are
attached evenly.

- 37 -
STEP THREE
Sew on the top of the arm and then the bottom (photos 1-6).

- 38 -
STEP FOUR
Fasten and hide the thread in the Froggy's body.

Advice from me
You may fasten the threads and hide the tail of the thread inside the pocket.
This way, the fastening places are not visible.

Sewing Bow to the Froggy body

Attach with knitting needle the Bow in the middle of body. Make sure that the
detail is attached evenly. We sew with just 5 stitches (marked in the photo
bellow). You may repeat the sewing a few more times. This way, the sewn details
will hold together more strongly.

Shall we sew the Bow to the Froggy's body together?

https://youtu.be/VH8eW5MdSnc.
- 39 -
I just can't stop admiring how cute this Froggy is

- 40 -
Two ways of embroidering a Froggy's face.

Which one will you choose?

At this stage, you can visualize your future Froggy in more detail and choose
which face and how you want to embroider it! Also on the last pages of Froggy
pattern I have prepared for you a few some felt patterns for the Froggy's cheeks
(for a little bit of inspiration) and different sizes of patterns for the Froggy's face
(as your frog may be larger or smaller).

So now I will describe two versions of embroidery of Froggy's face.

The first - with fabric. And the second, accordingly, without.

IMPORTANT
Choose the way you like it best! But don't forget to experiment as well!

First: embroidery on the fabric

1. Print out the face and hearts pattern. You can print on the next page.

- 41 -
- 42 -
2. Cut out all the details from the cardstock. Outline hearts only into the felt. Cut
out two hearts for cheeks from the felt with sharp scissors.
3. Now we will work with the Froggy's face. Take the fabric and felt (fabric on
top, felt on the bottom).

Why do we need felt on the bottom?

I use felt to make the details more dense. It will look more accurate.

Place the face pattern in the middle of the fabric and outline it with a washable
marker.

4. Now we need to draw the markings for the Froggy's eyes and mouth. First,
I will describe everything. And then you may see the whole process in the
photos below. So, mark the center of the Froggy's face. Now apply a ruler. 3 cm
from the center, put the first dots (right and left). These will be the first points of
the beginning of the Froggy's eyes. Move the ruler horizontally 1 cm down.
Measure 5 cm from the center on each side and put dots (these will be the
points of the end of the Froggy's eyes). Now the mouth. Move the ruler
horizontally 1 cm down. Put a dot in the middle. Now move the ruler 0.5 cm
horizontally up. Measure 1 cm on each side and put dots (the corners of the

- 43 -
mouth). In total, we have 7 marking points for the Froggy's face. Now let's draw
all the points. First the eyes. Then the mouth.

- 44 -
5. Take the embroidery hoop and fix the fabric with the felt in it.

6. Embroider the eyes. Here is the photo of the embroidery algorithm.

To simplify the process, I invite you in this video to embroider the

second eye of the Froggy together
-
https://youtu.be/gb58GQs9sqw.
- 45 -
7. Now embroider the mouth.

8. And now sew the felt cheek

hearts. Before sewing on the cheeks,
I take a smaller needle. I split the
thread into two parts. Then attach
the cheeks with sewing pins. I sew
them on like this (photos below).
When I sew on the hearts, I remove
the pin.

- 46 -
9. Remove the embroidery hoop and cut out the Froggy's face. Do not forget to
fasten all the threads on the back side of the fabric.

10. Wash from washable marker, dry, iron.

ATTENTION
Iron ONLY on LOW heat! As, we used fabric and felt (which is polyester),
so high heat on the iron can ruin the embroidery of the Froggy.

11. Attach the embroidered face part to the crocheted body.

12. Sew the face on. During the sewing process, pay attention to whether it is
sewn evenly. If necessary, straighten the side of the fabric and reattach it with
pins. Fasten the threads. hide the ends in the body.
- 47 -
ATTENTION
Be careful because in the process of sewing the face, the fabric face detail may
move a little. So somewhere in the middle of sewing, you will need to align the
face part a bit.

What am I talking about? Now we will sew the Froggy's face to the
body together in this video and you will understand what I mean

Second: embroidery on the crocheted face

1. First, we will embroider the eyes. I fold the thread twice. I put the sewing pins
as in the photo. Then embroider the eyes one by one. Fasten thread and hide
the tail in the body.

- 50 -
IMPORTANT
You may make the Froggy's eyes larger or smaller. Also, if you want the
embroidered eyes to be more visible, you may fold the thread several times
more.

ATTENTION
Before you fasten the threads, be sure to straighten each thread to make it
more accurate.

2. Now embroider the mouth. Fasten the thread. Hide the tail.

- 51 -
3. Now the cheeks. Attach the cheeks with sewing pins. Split the thread in half.
Sew on one by one. Fasten the thread. Hide the tail.

Advice from me
If you choose this embroidery option for the Froggy's face, I suggest using felt
for the cheeks in a contrasting shade (unlike the body of the Froggy). Because
only when I sewed the heart cheeks to the Froggy, I realize that they slightly
blend in color with the body.

Perfect way of packaging for your loved ones

Friend, I hope that my packaging will inspire you a little bit to create your own
unique and lovely packaging. The way you see it! Putting your strength, effort
and meaning into it! Putting your love and warmth into it. After all, every detail
we create for our loved ones is very important!
I will show you 4 variants of easy and quick packaging! but of course, this is just
an option. you may take the whole idea of packaging, use it as a basis and
create something new, combine and experiment. remember that you can do
anything!

VARIANT ONE

How do we create it?

First, I draw hearts with a marker. I decided to paint the whole box. Then I cut
a small piece of sticky tape. I take a dried flower. Attach the flower with the tape
in the place where I like. Below the flower I write a cute message.

In this video, we might make such a package together

- 56 -
VARIANT TWO

How do we create it?

Print out the heart pattern (you may print on the next page). Cut out. Place the
cut out hearts where want them. Glue them one by one.
OR
If you don't have a printer, then draw hearts with colored markers wherever you
want. Inside each heart, write cute words with a liner or pen.
Take the ribbon and cut about 2 meters (my box is 30 cm x 15 cm x 10 cm).
Wrap the box and make a bow. Done!

VARIANT THREE

How do we create it?

Print out the picture pattern you want (I have chosen 8 patterns of pictures that
I liked, BUT you may print any of your own). You may print on the next 2 pages.
- 58 -
Cut out. Place the cut out picture where you see it. Glue it.
OR
Cut out any pictures from a newspaper, magazine, postcard, etc.
Then I cut two small pieces of sticky tape. And glued it in two corners of the
picture. Next, I take a marker and write «From - To» on top of the box (you may
also write any other message). Take the ribbon and cut about 2 meters (my box
is 35 cm x 10 cm x 10 cm). Wrap the box and make a bow. READY!
