Introduction
Modern Tanaga/ Textula is a Filipino poetry
genre that traces its origins to traditional
Tagalog poetry called Tanaga. It employs
mobile phone technology to share short, 4-
line poems with 7 syllables per line and the
same rhyme scheme between lines. Has this
sign (/) at every end of the line
It allows poets to write and distribute
Tanaga-style poetry to others through text
messages.
