This document describes the application procedure and approval process of water connection applied
by the citizen through EGIS portal.
Steps to Apply for Water Connection:
Step 1: Apply for New Water Connection from our PMC EGIS Portal (https://gis.pmc.gov.in).
I. Browse the “https://gis.pmc.gov.in” on the browser and in the home page clicks on City
Map.
II. Once the City Map Dashboard displays, clicks on Online Services from the Top Menu
and click on Water/Drainage connection.

III. Only register user will be able to view and apply the water/drainage connection form.
If you do not have a register id, please register yourself from the home page register
link. To know, how to register? You can refer the help file (City Map >> Right
navigation menu >> Help).
IV. Once register, you can repeat the Step II to go to the water/drainage connection form
again.
V. Once you get the application from, choose water connection from the drop-down list.
VI. Once water connection is selected, display will change as per selection.
VII. Download licensed plumber consent letter.

VIII. Download Help document to know steps to apply for Water Connection.
IX. Identify nearest plumber as per your location from the authorized PMC plumbers list
under "Water Connection" form.
1. Plumber will visit your place and check the feasibility.
2. Get the consent letter filled up by the plumber.
X. Now fill the all mandatory fields in the portal, attach the mandatory documents (Click
on Browse to attach file from your local desktop) and submit the application.

Site Plan
Completion Certificate
Commencement Certificate
Occupancy Certificate
Licensed Plumber Consent Letter

Step 2: After request is successfully submitted on the EGIS portal, Junior Engineer (JE)
conducts an internal assessment and puts the amount that you needs to pay with
remarks.
I. Status shows "Junior Engineer Approved".

Step 3: Deputy Engineer (DE) will verify the details and remarks filled by the Junior
Engineer and approve.
I. Status shows "Deputy Engineer Approved".
Step 4: After DE approves the application demand note will generate and status of the
application will show demand note process “Completed”
Step 5: Make Payment of the charges once Payment Link gets activated under "Track
Status" on the portal.
I. You can track the status of your application using "Track Status" utility, status shows
"Pay Now".

II. Also, payment amount & pay now link gets visible under "Track Status" utility with
Online & Offline two categories.
III. View and Download the demand not by clicking on the “View Demand Note” link.

IV. For Offline Payment:
A. Download the demand and make the payment at your nearest CFC/Payment
centres and get the receipt/challan to proceed with the request.
i. Please click on link in the offline payment
method and find your nearest Payment Center for offline payment.
B. Once Payment is done at your nearest CFC/Payment centres, upload the
receipt/challan on the portal. Post upload of the challan/receipt & submission,
status will change to "Payment completed".

V. For Online Payment:
A. Click on Online Payment category & it will redirect you to the Bill desk for
payment. Once payment is completed, status under "Track Status" will get
changed to "Payment completed".

Step 6: Check the status of your connection Request under "Track Status" utility on the
portal.
I. After Receipt/Challan has been uploaded successfully, JE will verify and approve the
Payment (Only for Offline Payment). Status shows "Completed" for Online and
Offline payment completion.

II. After completion of connection work, JE will update the application status, status
shows "Connection Completed".
