EC2 Backup and Encryption Using AWS Backup Service with

KMS Customer Managed Key

 Create customer managed keys using AWS KMS.

 Navigate to the EC2 service and launch an EC2 instance.

 Navigate to AWS Backup and create a backup vault.

 Create a backup plan to recover the EC2 instance.

 While creating a backup plan, carefully specify the backup vault you have created,
set the backup frequency, and define the backup window section.
 To delete the backup, you can configure a lifecycle policy that defines when backups
should be deleted after a specific retention period.

 Assign your instances or resources to your backup plan to ensure they are included
in the backup process.
 A backup plan triggers at a specified time defined in the backup window section,
automatically creating jobs that transition through states from "Creating" to "In
Progress," and finally to "Completed."

 After the jobs reach the "Completed" state, you will receive a recovery link, and you
can see the recovery point ID in the protected resources section.
 For testing purposes, you can terminate the existing instance assigned to the backup plan;
just ensure that you terminate it after the backup plan execution is completed.
 Go to the protected resources section to view resource details and simply restore the
instance using the recovery point.
 After the restoring the instance you can see in ec2 service the instance is restored and is in a
running state
