REASON FOR REVISION: SSL 514A updates the subject title, serial numbers
affected, and available kits.

PURPOSE: This service spares letter announces the availability of optional software update
kits to enable Garmin GWX 8000 StormOptix advanced Doppler weather radar on
the affected airplanes.

SUMMARY: This service spares letter announces the availability of kits which provides the
software and instructions required to enable the Garmin GWX 8000 StormOptix
advanced Doppler weather radar on the affected airplanes. The applicable kit for
each serial number is identified in Chart 1 on page 2.
NOTE: The kits announced by this service spares letter are to be installed
only in airplanes equipped with the latest Garmin G3000 NG Software
Version, as applicable.
Kits 88703-701 thru 88703-703 require Garmin G3000 NG Software
Version 2975.22 or later (but prior to 2975.40). See the latest revision
of Service Letter 1292 for instructions before proceeding.
Kits 88703-704 thru 88703-707 required Garmin G3000 NG Software
Version 2975.43 or later. See the latest revision of Service Letter 1332
for instructions before proceeding.
