1- Initial Compression Length

Assume spring square grounded

Avalve = π/4*(15)2 = 490.9mm2
Fmax = Pmax * Avalve = 859N
Fmin = Pmin * Avalve = 490.9N
Nt = 6
N = Nt – 2 = 4
d = 5mm
D = 25mm
G = 80GPa
K = (d4G) / (8D3N) = 100Nmm
Fmin = yi * k
Yi = 4.9mm
Fmin=490 N

2- Spring Pressure Check

Assume spring material stainless steel Su = 2067MPa
Sy = 0.75 Su = 1550 MPa
Sys = 0.577 Sy = 894.4MPa
Ԏall = 0.5 * Sys = 447.2MPa
C = D/d = 5
KB = (4C+2)/(4C-3) = 1.39
Ԏmax = (8*KB*Fmax*C)/π*d2 = (0.5*Sy)/FOS = 588MPa
F.O.S = 1.32

3- Value Body Thickness

t/d<0.1
di = 46mm
t = 4mm
Sy)bronze = 120MPa
(Pi*di)/2t = Sy)bronze/F.O.S = 10MPa
F.O.S = 12

4- Max Stress in Regulator

Take smaller Ar
Ar1 = (π/4)*(31-11)2 = 314mm2
Ar2 = (π/4)*(22-10.5)2 = 103.9mm2
Sy = 120MPa
(Fmax/Ar2) = Sy/F.O.S = 8.27Mpa
F.O.S = 14.5
