INTERCULTURAL THEATRE INSTITUTE
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
This Contract is entered into between Intercultural Theatre Institute Ltd (“the Institute”) and
xxxxxx, resident at xxxxx, with email xxxx (“the Student”).
1. On this date xxx, the Institute awards to the Student a scholarship to pursue the xxx Year
of the Institute’s Professional Diploma in Intercultural Theatre (Acting) course,
commencing xxxx and ending xxxx (“the Course”).
2. Benefits to Student
The Institute’s scholarship award comprises the benefits to the Student set out in the
Schedule (“the Benefits”). The Benefits may be revised and amended by the Institute at its
sole discretion immediately upon written notice to the Student. The total value of the
Benefits is SGDxxxx.
3. Student’s obligations
The Student agrees that s/he will:
3.1 embark on, diligently continue and complete the Course within the period stated in
paragraph 1;
3.2 devote his time to the Course and apply her/himself, to the best of his ability, to the
successful completion of the Course to the satisfaction of the Director and Faculty;
3.3 attend all sessions and classes of the Course, complete all assignments and projects, and
undertake all required exercises, assessments and evaluations within the times
prescribed by the Director and Faculty;
3.4 not undertake any occupation, work or course of study, whether paid or unpaid, during the
period of the Course including vacations except with the express written consent of the
Director and General Manager;
3.5 undertake theatre-related work or projects, and participate in publicity efforts, as
reasonably requested by the Institute for the purpose of acknowledging the sponsor(s) of
this or other scholarships provided by the Institute or for the purpose of seeking other
sponsors or donors for scholarships or other student assistance;
3.6 comply with all regulations and obligations of the Institute and the Student Contract, and
with all laws of the Republic of Singapore; and
3.7 reimburse the Institute in full for all Benefits received, if the award of the Scholarship is
revoked, immediately upon revocation.
4. Indemnities
The Student further undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the Institute, its agents,
officers, employees and servants, from:
4.1 any liability whatsoever to the Student or his personal representative in respect of any and
all claims, injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, costs and expenses arising from or in
relation to the Student’s stay in Singapore and/or undertaking of the Course; and
4.2 any and all claims, injuries, damages, liabilities, losses, costs (including the costs of legal
representation on a full indemnity basis) and expenses arising from or in relation to the
Student’s acts, omissions, negligence and/or breach of any contract between the Student
and the Institute.
5. Revocation or Suspension of this Scholarship
5.1 The Institute may at any time, at its sole discretion, and immediately upon notice in writing
to the Student, (i) revoke the Scholarship or (ii) suspend the Scholarship, if the Student:
(a) is in breach of or has breached any term of any contract between the Student and the
Institute;
(b) fails or abandons the Course or in any way renders himself unsuitable or unable to
continue with the Course;
(c) fails to make satisfactory progress in the Course or in the opinion of the Director
conducts himself unsatisfactorily; or
(d) has been convicted of any offence by a court of law in any country.
5.2 Upon any suspension being lifted, the Benefits may be adjusted to reduce the amount to
take into account the period of suspension.
6. Law and jurisdiction
This contract is governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the Student
submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.

ACCEPTANCE
I, xxxx, have read and understood the terms of this contract, and agree to abide by them. I
further declare that I fully appreciate that the award of this scholarship is based in part on my
commitment and potential, and that in accepting it I am taking an opportunity that another
person could have benefited from. I shall therefore use my very best endeavours to
successfully complete the course and fulfil the expectations represented by this award.
