How to take screenshots:

In exercise task 2, you need to search for the skill which you are learning (i.e. WordPress) on the Fiverr
search bar. Fiverr will display all of the freelancer's gigs that are offering WordPress related skills. You
need to take screenshots of these gigs. You can take screenshots by pressing the "Shift+Windows Key+S"
buttons together, selecting the screen area, take screenshot, and save it in the desired location. You can
also take screenshot by pressing the "Windows Key+PrtScn" buttons. The screenshot will automatically
save in the pictures > screenshots folder.

To solve exercise tasks, open Word Document file on your laptop/PC and follow the guidelines
listed down below to solve the exercise.

1. In task 1, you need to write the skillset in which you want to start freelancing such as
digital marketing.
2. In task 2, search for your chosen skillset, such as "digital marketing" or "Facebook
Marketing" in the Fiverr search bar, Take a screenshot of the search results, and copy-
paste it into a Word document file.
3. In task 3, select the 5 most relevant Gig titles that match your skillset and write them
down on the Word document file.

products, and apply for freelance or remote jobs. Freelancers can browse these listings and apply for
jobs/projects that match their skills and interests. Classified ad sites are OLX, Craigslist, local ads,
Indeed, etc.

Why some gigs do not receive orders: No orders

There could be many reasons due to why some gigs don't receive any orders. Some reasons are listed
down below:

1. The first reason will be the competition and saturated category.


2. Upload attractive thumbnail and write services on it.
3. Poorly presented gigs fail to capture the attention of potential buyers.
4. Pricing also impacts a gig's success.
5. Not promoting gigs on social media, forums, and other channels.
6. Lake of reviews and ratings.
7. Demand for certain services fluctuates over time.

So, it is suggested to follow this course, watch lessons carefully, learn skills from your other course,

Fiverr itself doesn't offer you a job. It is a platform on which you can offer skills and clients place

order/project. The in-demand skills on Fiverr are web development, app development, digital
marketing, SEO, graphic designing, VA, content writing, video editing, data entry, and many more. It is

Purpose of freelancing: Benefit:
The actual purpose of freelancing is to work as an independent company/person rather than be

Referral:
Referral is a term in the marketing field in which satisfied customers refer your products to others as
word-of-mouth communication. So, in freelancing, if you provide excellent work to your
clients/customers, then some of the clients might refer your work to others. You can also ask the client
to refer your work after successfully completing the order(s).

Newbie: feedback from clients without order:


As a newbie, you won't have any reviews because you haven't completed any orders yet. As you get
orders and Fcomplete them, you will start getting reviews/feedback from these clients. So, getting
positive and excellent reviews and feedback is very important to get new orders. The clients
also check feedback before placing an order. So, it is suggested to complete the client's work beyond
expectations to get positive and excellent reviews.
Without getting orders from clients' you won't get any reviews and feedback. Order placement is
necessary to get feedback.

Feedback: when to ask for feedback:


You can ask for feedback after delivering the project, not at the start of the project. The feedback and
review are always given after completing the project. You can ask the client that it was a good
experience to work with you and would love to hear about your experience and feedback.

Can I do Freelancing at 40 age:


Age is not a limiting factor for starting freelancing or learning any skill. Whether you are 40 years old

Don’t sell cheap: service offering:


As a beginner, first, you need to research the competitors, how much they are charging for the
services, and then you will decide a price for your services. For example, if the competitors are
charging $100-$300 for a service, you can charge $50-$90 for that same service. So, selling cheap
doesn't mean that you offer the same service at $5-$20. Gradually, when you get some orders and
positive reviews, you can charge more for the same services.
There are some factors listed down below that help in setting your service charges as a freelancer:

1. The type of skill are you offering.


2. How much amount others are charging for that skill?
3. Depends on the client's requirements.
4. Depends on the experience of the freelancer.
5. Time and money you need to complete the job successfully.

Communication with clients:


It depends on the client, the task, and your communication with the client. Mostly the
conversation takes place over the Freelancing platform in text form but depending on the
nature of the task, sometimes the client asks to have an audio or video meeting to discuss
details or explain the nature of the task. In freelancing, in-person meetings are prohibited as
you work virtually from a different country.
As a housewife, if you want to work online as a freelancer, you don't need to worry about
this, as your consent is necessary to take any project. You can take any project that suits
you well.

Who can add portfolio on Fiverr:

sample work images, pdf file, and video to your gigs. Fiverr allows you to add three images in one gig.

Moreover, only selected sellers can add portfolios at Fiverr after getting an invitation from Fiverr. So,

gig more easily. Using appropriate tags is essential for increasing the exposure of a gig and attracting
the right audience on the Fiverr platform.

How to find clients on Fiverr:


You can't find clients on your own on Fiverr or send proposals to clients. Fiverr works on the Gigs
system. As a freelancer, you will create a profile and create different gigs related to your skillset and
services. The client searches for freelancers by typing the skillset they need. From the gigs, they select
a freelancer by viewing their gig details and starting the conversation. After the successful
conversation, they place an order on your gig.
So, that's how Fiverr works.

Computer laptop specs for freelancing:


Computer/Laptop requirements depend on the tasks or skills that you are going to perform. For
example, if you are going to do jobs related to graphic designing or video editing, then you will need a
high-performance laptop. If your work is related to content writing, SEO, and Digital Marketing, then
your laptop requirements won’t be high. However, in general, you should have a Core i5 or i7, Ram
8GB-16GB, Graphics card, and SSD hard disk to work smoothly. In the case of graphic designing and
video editing, RAM should be 16 GB to 32 GB.

How to create Portfolio:


You can create a portfolio by working on your learned skills i.e. Data Analytics & Business intelligence.
You need to create sample work related to your skills or work locally and take screenshots of it while
performing the tasks. Then upload screenshots in the Word file, mention your skills, expertise, why
you, and call to action. After this, convert the Word file into PDF format and use it where required such
as for sending to clients. Similarly, you can create accounts on various portfolio-related platforms such
as Behance, Weebly, Crevado, Muck Rack, etc and upload your portfolio items.
After practicing learned skills, it is also recommended to do some local work for free or at a low cost
just to build your portfolio and get some experience.

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Youtube Ads, E-mail marketing, etc. So, it is
suggested to take screenshots for portfolio creation while doing the following things: create some
pages, advertise them to gain page likes, goal selection, post engagement, target audience selection,
pixel installation, funnel creation, event creation, ad results, etc. After performing each task/activity,
take screenshots and add them to the portfolio. Similarly, do the same on other social media platforms

You can buy connects on Upwork using a debit or credit card (Mastercard or Visa) and by clicking on
Membership and Connects. When a new freelancer successfully registers on Upwork, they receive 80
connects to start building relationships.
As a beginner, it is recommended to start providing freelance services on Fiverr instead of Upwork. It is
a great place for new freelancers to get orders, gain experience, learn how to work with clients, and
build valuable skills. Getting work is also easier than on other platforms.

accepted. Also, contact the customer support team of PPH. They can provide you with more
information about the situation and help resolve any issues or guide you.
While waiting for PPH to reopen new account registrations, you can explore other freelancing platforms
that offer similar services. It is suggested to start freelancing from smaller platforms such as Fiverr.
Later, you can join other platforms after getting some experience and building a portfolio. The Fiverr
platform will be explained in detail in next week's lesson videos. So, stay motivated and keep learning

It is not recommended to edit your Gig all the time once it is published. The Gig URL and Gig category
can't be edited or changed. Once your Gig has been edited, it will undergo a second review and the

extras, and rewrite your Gig description.
So, it is recommended to research thoroughly before creating a Gig, make a draft of it in a word
document file, write a title, write about yourself, add a description, write your services, why select you,

logo according to the requirements of the client.

Ecommerce Skills:
You can show your practice work as your experience when a client asks. Moreover, you can
create a free e-commerce website, upload products, and add content. You can show its
screenshots to the client and also communicate about expertise in the e-commerce field to
convince the client.
Besides these, communicate all skills required for the e-commerce field such as store
management, order handling, inventory, analytics, store SEO, etc.
Gig unapproved: Gig Denied: Fiverr gig unapproved
Your Gig might not be approved due to violating Fiverr's terms of service. Fiverr sends an email
mentioning the reasons. So, you need to check your email Id, read it, and remove those issues to
approve your Gig. You can also check the reason by clicking on the denied option on the Gig.

It is because the hands-on exercise no.1 due date is over. The last date to attempt hands-on exercise
no.1 was 4th July 2022. So, you can't download it now. However, there are still 3 HOEs to come during

What is Milestone? What are Milestones?


Milestones are used to divide the project into different parts based on the project requirements on
Upwork and Freelancer. So, when you complete each milestone, payment for that work is released to
your account. Milestones define the deliverables you will submit after each task or work is completed.
You can create different milestones with their amount and send them to the client with the proposal. If
the employer is impressed by your proposal and agrees with your suggested milestones, he/she will
award you the project.

Hours to complete a project/job:


Sir, if it took me 2 days to work on a project that should have taken only 9
hours to complete, how should I approach the client regarding the hours
spent? Should I mention the 48 hours or the actual 9 hours? Also, how
should I negotiate the price?
Before bidding on a project or starting a project/order, communicate with the client about the time
required to complete the project. If it takes 48 hours to complete the project, then give the deadline
according to it. If it takes 9 hours to complete the project, then give 9 hours deadline. That's why we
are explaining to you that practice your skills and become an expert, then you will able to know how
much time it takes to complete a project related to your skills. So, you should mention the exact time
required to complete a project.
Mostly the clients mention their budget in the project. If don't, you will ask for the client’s budget. If
you think the client's budget is enough for the project, then you can pursue the work otherwise you
can negotiate with your client. It depends upon your skill expertise and communication. If you are a
beginner and ask for a big amount, then it is not a good practice.
