robots not designed to work with people , can cause accidents in human environments

technology available but not commercially available yet

industrial robots able to work close to /with people

must consider ways in which people may interact (unwanted/unexpected) such as violence

4 solution : with violent children , robot went to find parents of children

people always try to understand robot's behaviour

needs cues to properly understand behaviour
