Layer Color Guide
General

Blue for [Your Design] that you can insert.

Green for color change.

Red for effects and template objects [not


required to be replaced, but still editable.]
Adding Your Design to a Mock-Up
Replace

1. Open the PSD file in Photoshop. 3. Photoshop will pop up open a new document in a
new window. [Replace you design in this new window.]
2. Double-click on the thumbnail of the [Your Design Here]
layer in the Layers palette. [It is highlighted in Blue. If you
don’t see it, open the folder.]
4. Click File > Place Linked and navigate to the file on 5. Set your design as you want. Go to File, then click
your computer or just drag and drop your design into Save or Ctrl+S [for PC] or Cmd+S [for Mac].Then
the window you just opened. close this tab. Now your image is placed into the
mock-up.
Customizing Your Design's Color
Color

1. Double-click on the thumbnail of the Color Picker layer in


the Layers palette. [It has color box and It is highlighted
in Green. If you don’t see it, open the folder.]

2. Photoshop will pop up open a new window, pick the


color you want and Click OK.
