Peerless Dad chapters 257-274

Chapter 257

The time has finally come. The Heavenly Dragon has resisted hard up until this point, but it is time to let go. The heaven’s
want him out of this world and even one of the supremes can’t defy that fate. As he sits in meditation, Gun Oh worriedly
rushes to his uncle's side. Up until now, Tang Munbi clung to this world out of regret.

In these final moments, the Heavenly Dragon gives Tang Gun Oh the order for his sons, Tang Gun Gang and Tang Gun
Joon, to be executed via poison. Their actions during the previous war against the Criminal Contractors Association was
simply part of a long running list of mistakes and sins that the Dark Master wanted to fix for a long time now.

However, Gun Oh desperately begs his uncle to forgive his foolish cousins. Even so, the two brothers have been spoiled
with chances and, as a result, many lives have been lost in exchange. Gun Oh aware of this all still continued to plead for
their lives.

The Dark Master desperate in his own way at this point. He angrily points out that the Tang Clan and Heavenly Dragon
Association still have Gun Oh to carry them on. It is in his firm belief that talent should be prioritized above bloodline.

As these are his uncle’s last wishes, Gun Oh finally relents and leaves to fulfill his duty. It is a hard decision to make, but
Tang Munbi is doing this for the sake of everyone who relies on him. Finally, he lets his strength go and the Heavenly
Dragon is no more.

Meanwhile back at the Grass Troupe Union, Yeo Ssang Hwa is busy managing the finances. Even though their
expenditures are growing along with the size of the organization, there seems to be too much being spent. While annoyed,
she quickly regains her composure and slyly plans to just ask her father for money if they really need it.
Outside the office, her stepsons are whispering amongst themselves, but Ssang Hwa excitedly notices them both. The two
came to bring her a birthday gift. Come to think of it, does Noh Gajang remember his new wife’s birthday? Of course he
does, he is a hardcore wife simp afterall. The twins inform their stepmother that their father wanted to meet her at the
golden flower lake in the evening. Thanks to this date plan, Ssang Hwa is ecstatic.

The two meet later that day and Gajang starts off with an apology for being busy. He had been keeping Ssang Hwa in
mind and wanted to make up for making her wait so long. He wanted to ask permission to do something important this
year, which perks up Ssang Hwa…and then the man asks permission to go somewhere. How disappointing…
Just kidding. The Peerless Dad does not drag out misunderstandings like our typical anime’s slash mangas. He is actually
asking his wife if he can go pick up Seohyeon from the Ice Palace. She should be here for the wedding after all.

According to his correspondence with the Ice Palace, her treatment is going well, so he wants to go see her personally
since it has been so long. Ssang Hwa is excited to hear about the trip and wants to go too, but unfortunately it is too far to
take her along. It will be an incredibly long and dangerous journey there, which is why Gajang wants her to stay within the
Heavenly Dragon Association’s territory.

As the two share an intimate moment of handholding, how scandalous, a messenger interrupts them with urgent news
from the Association that shocks both of them.

Our attention is shifted towards Lee Gangjin as he is debriefed about the Criminal Contractors Association. The
interception force suffered 8 casualties and 36 wounded. In exchange, the military successfully eliminated the leader of the
Criminal Contractors and took down one of the 4 great powers of the Murim.

In the Administrator’s eyes, even though the enemy was a powerful martial artist, it was an unequal trade. The amount of
resources placed in training the elite Iron Cavalry could buy a castle according to Lee Gangjin.
The Captain quickly apologizes for his mistake, but is corrected that this was not a mistake. This is the cost to take down
one of the 7 Demons and was probably unavoidable. Instead Gangjin focuses on supporting the families of the men who
died and provides compensation to the injured. On that note, he dismisses the captain and wonders if he needs to fill the
power vacuum left behind by the Criminal Contractors Association. Overall, it would bring more harm to the common
people if someone grabbed power out of greed. Ironically, the Divine Cult would be quite helpful right now, but Cheon Soso
ordered a lockdown. Clearly, she has her own plans that conflict with the Administration.

As he ponders one annoyance, two more show up to join in. The twin demon grandfathers barge in and pester Gangjin.

They want to pass on their martial arts to him, but Gangjin already learned it before. It did not even take him a year to
understand it, which gives one of the grandpas a pause. However, the other twin points out how this was only knowledge
and not actual mastery since they did not trade internal energies due to how doubtful the Administrator was about the
whole thing. Gangjin actually agrees that this is true. According to the twin grandpas, they just need a single year to teach
him the key aspects. As the younger man ponders this, the twins excitedly encourage him to accept the one-year time
limit.

Before they can come to an agreement, a messenger interrupts with urgent news. The room falls into a solemn silence as
the three martial arts masters process the information. Lee Gangjin poetically says “a star has fallen from the sky.” Despite
his busy schedule, the third Administrator respects the Heavenly Dragon enough to go see him off. The twins also wish to
see off their old enemy. Regardless of affiliation, the martial artists of The Murim hold masters like the Heavenly Dragon in
high regard.

Chapter 258

Many gather for the funeral of the Heavenly Dragon. Tang Gun Oh is leading the rites, but Munbi’s sons are not present
which leads to hushed whispers. However, everyone knew exactly why. Their leadership, or lack thereof, is enough cause
for an execution. The current leader of the Heavenly Dragon Association refused to fulfill the Dark Master’s final orders and
spared the brothers. Instead, the Tang siblings were exiled to the Annam border as punishment. This might not sit well with
many of the people in the Association. Many lives were lost because of those fools, so they will never be welcomed back.
Gajang recalls his conversation with Mung Jung Woo. Both her disciples and adoptive sons were disabled thanks to the
Tang brothers. It is her personal desire to kill them, but she is reluctant to do so when she thinks of the many sacrifices the
Dark Master made for everyone. However, it is also because of these sacrifices that his children ended up the way they
did.

Tang Munbi’s first son was killed by Noh Gajang. The former Flying Dragon feels that it would be too cruel to have them
executed by Gajang as well. Because of their respect for the late Heavenly Dragon, all the other pavilions will plead for the
two Tang brothers to be spared. It will be emotionally painful for everyone to simply let the two useless men escape justice,
but as part of the political circle now, Gajang has to think about the people he leads. He can’t simply be selfish and cause
discord in the Association. In the end, Mung Jung Woo promises that the two brothers will never show themselves at the
Heavenly Dragon Association again.

It was not that long that Gajang was training with Munbi. It does make Gajang wonder why the old master spent his
remaining time guiding him. The Dark Master had very little time left by that point, yet he gave it to the Brilliant Dragon.

As night falls and the funeral attendees clear out, Gajang poses this question to Tang Gun Oh, the current Heavenly
Dragon. Why did Tang Munbi give so much time to him? Gun Oh does not know, but the Dark Master believed that they
would need Noh Gajang during turbulent times. Of course, this means that the late Heavenly Dragon was worried about
the 5 clans. This was Tang Munbi’s final worry before ascending. Little did anyone know, Mumbi did not live in seclusion
for his own martial legacy, but for the people that followed him. At the very least, Gajang would have never guessed that
the former Heavenly Dragon cared so deeply.

Suddenly, someone intrudes on their conversation before the altar and claims that Gajang now knew what sort of person
Tang Munbi was and those that already know will remember him as such. Although Gunn Oh claimed that there are many
things he did not know about his uncle, the intruder believes that Tang Munbi was actually someone who was easy to
understand.

Gajang can recognize this voice immediately. It is one that has struck fear into his very core after all. The third
Administrator, Lee Gangjin, is here to pay his respects to one of the 5 supremes who is no longer of this world. As such, he
requests that the two do not block his way to the altar.

The masked Administrator picks up a stick of incense and lights it aflame with samadhi fire which surprises Gunoh. I
suppose the ability is reserved for extremely high-level martial artists. Gangjin offers to let the twin grandpas pay their
respects first, but declines since the Administrator was closer to the Heavenly Dragon than they were.
The two men were definitely more akin to enemies than they were friends, but he definitely felt close enough to Munbi to
casually address him as ‘old man.’ In their last meeting, Gangjin said they should meet again in a different world, but he
realizes he was mistaken. Instead, he should have said that he would see him off. Regardless of the choice of words and
meanings, it is clear that Gangjin respects the late Heavenly Dragon immensely and sees him as a friend despite their
constant conflicts.

Gajang still does not know the true identity of the masked man in front of him, but suspects that he is a government official.
Now that he has paid his respects, the Administrator congratulates Gunoh on becoming the Heavenly Dragon and head of
the Tang Clan. On the other hand, Lee Gangjin notes how Gajang has grown a lot and that Mo Wei would be proud. It is
the first time that the Brilliant Dragon is learning that his master is connected to the masked man who struck fear into his
heart.

At any rate, now that they are here the Administrator is expecting to be served some tea as a welcome at the very least.
They traveled quite far to pay their respects to the late Heavenly Dragon.

Gunoh will serve the tea for the Administrator as the leader of the Heavenly Dragon Association, while Gajang takes care
of the twin demons. The old twins likely want to see the Noh children anyway.

The Brilliant Dragon gives the two a warm welcome. The twin demons would not mind staying here permanently with the
Noh Family, but they are connected to Lee Gangjin already and are seemingly obligated to stay by him. On the other hand,
it seemed to the two elders that Gajang already knew the Administrator.

Before Gajang can elaborate, his two sons come in to greet the twin grandpas. Rather than greeting them as grandpas,
they are told to refer to them as masters since that is the promise they made. Although the subject has changed, Gajang
can’t get the thought out of his mind. Who exactly is the masked man and what are the twin demons to him? And above all,
what is the purpose of his visit?

Chapter 259

The children continue spending time with the twin grandpas and practice the combination martial arts they practiced in the
past. Interestingly, Lee Gangjin has also joined them. Gajang is clearly concerned about his presence and curious as to
the connection the masked Administrator has to his missing master, Mo Wei.

Lee Gangjin praises Gajang’s newly acquired title of Brilliant Dragon. It is a measure of how far the former mercenary has
come since entering the Murim. Even so, Mo Wei did warn his disciple about entering the Murim. Lee Gangjin finally
answers the questions that Gajang had. The late Heavenly Dragon amply warned the Brilliant Dragon about the
Administrator, so he already knows who this masked man is.

Despite being busy, he deliberately intercepted and instilled fear into an otherwise foolhardy mercenary who dared enter
the Murim. Even though Gajang is simply one of many, the Administrator personally performed this task. Why would he do
such a thing? Without question, this is Mo Wei’s influence. Gajang’s master wished for his disciple to live safely and
normally. Even so, Noh Gajang entered the Murim and became the Brilliant Dragon of the Heavenly Dragon Association
and one of the 7 Demons.

So, is Mo Wei still alive? Although the Administrator has not seen the old man in 10 years, he believes that this member of
the Metal Clan still lives since no news is good news, albeit only temporarily. As a master of the Metal Clan with the
greatest martial prowess, this means he is likely to become the next Full Metal Alchemist…sorry I mean Absolute Metal
Demon God.

Gajang does not understand. Mo Wei was okay before leaving him. However, according to the Administrator, Mo Wei has
already achieved the point in Metal Clan martial arts that he is returning to elemental form. This is why Gajang did not
learn everything about Metal Ki and all the martial arts of the Metal Clan. It was to prevent him from becoming a Demon
God in the end and perhaps find a different path forward.

However, Gajang recalls that another Absolute Metal Demon God already appeared so there should not be another one.
The Administrator scoffs at this. The previous appearance was not a true Absolute Metal Demon God. The Sword Sect lost
many martial masters to defeat the incomplete Demon God, so a true Demon God must be a real calamity.

According to Gangjin, each Demon God becomes the element they are practicing martial arts in. Metal for metal and fire
for fire and so on. For whatever reason, Lee Gangjin concludes that only he is capable of fighting a True Demon God.
Funnily enough, this is a roundabout way of telling Gajang that he can’t defeat the Administrator with his martial arts.
Well does that mean Lee Gangjin is here to fight for the 5 clans? Not at all. The Administration is willing to allow the Murim
to suffer by the Demon Gods hands and not interfere if possible. Gangjin’s whimsical declaration is unfortunately terrifying
because he has the strength and power to actualize his will into reality.

This conversation leads Gajang to head to the Association head office. Overall, the Administrators brazen visit was a
display of his arrogance that pierces the heavens.

That guy really thinks he can take on the entire world by himself. At any rate, he intends to allow the situation with the 5
clans to play out without intervening. In the eyes of the Administration, allowing the Murim to be weakened in a clash with
the Absolute Demon Gods would be only a good thing for them. Luckily, the former Flying Dragon has fought a Demon
God before. At the very least they are not completely clueless about the potential threat.

Concurrent with the Administrator’s visit, the Yeo father-in-law received a letter advising him to focus on supply distribution
to fortresses instead of business expansion. We can guess who this is from since Lee Gangjin was visiting to pay his
respects. The Administrator also controls the rivaling merchant group in this world anyway so it is definitely him. This
suggestion coincides with the warning of the impending threat coming from the 5 clans.

Yeo Ssang Hwa interrupts her father’s thoughts as she barges in and asks him to prepare for her wedding. It is good news
that Gajang finally proposed to Ssang Hwa and is going to pick up Seohyeon from the Northern Sea. There will be a group
going to the Northern Sea in the winter, so Gajang can guard them along the way. How interesting that there will be a
winter caravan to such a remote and cold place. Ssang Hwa is happy to see that her father cares for her husband.

The two shift their discussion to the Lee Merchant Group’s letter. Lee Gangjin is someone who is respected as a supreme
one in the Murim and also a high-ranking government official, but he has always engaged with the Yeo family as a
merchant and nothing more. Even Ssang Hwa’s father respects the Administrator.

However, Ssang Hwa believes that it is thanks to grandpa Jin Gasu that Lee Gangjin isn’t able to do anything to harm their
group. Her father reminds her that Grandpa Jin has never used his authority and power to help them earn a profit.
Although the Yeos believed that the letter was a way to attack their business, it's likely advice for the near future.

The Administrator is home now, and is being pestered by his son. Why is Lee Gangjin dealing with a crisis that has yet to
occur? In reality he has no way of truly knowing when it will happen. Their own side will be affected if the Yeo Merchant
group takes heavy damage, so he needs to prepare beforehand. Even though Yeo is considered a miser, he is still willing
to donate supplies to relieve and aid people.

Because of that sort of mentality, Haengbok believes that the Lee group needs to be even more prepared since the Yeo
group performed better than them despite the willingness to take losses in profit. He is very devoted to learning more about
their merchant work and aspires to make the Lee Merchants the strongest under him. Gangjin does not know if his son will
achieve this, but will support him anyway. His only lesson to Haengbok is to never harm an ordinary person.

The twin grandpas suggest that if Haengbok is looking for something to do then he should accompany them. They think it
would be a good idea if the young Lee teaches the Noh twins some things as well. However, this implies that the Noh boys
are already here. At least the twin demons believe that Lee Gangjin has already taken care of it. They turn their heads with
a judging stare at the Administrator, but young Haengbok already knows that this is not going to be such a simple thing
and can only give his father a nervous smile.

Gajang is going to be getting married, so he isn’t going to send them away to train. Especially since he is going to go pick
up Seohyeon from her treatment for this very event. Above all this, he is now the Brilliant Dragon of the Heavenly Dragon
Association and is expected to hold more responsibilities, so planning to send his sons away would be quite an ordeal on
top of this.

As the twin grandpas complain, Haengbok slowly shuffles backwards toward the door to escape the bickering. While this is
fun and all, a messenger rushes in to make an urgent report.

Chapter 260

Off in some unknown area, a firestorm rages as a manic looking entity engulfed in flames emerges.

The report the Administrator just received was about the damages incurred by the appearance of the Demon God of
flames. Several towns have already been incinerated, meaning Lee Gangjin can’t just ignore the situation like he intended.
It appears that even the almighty and arrogant Administrator is not infallible nor all-knowing. Gangjin is infuriated that the 5
clans’ crisis is already exploding out of control.

The twin demons volunteer to intercept the enemy first. They do not intend to defeat a Demon God, but to slow him down
until the situation can be handled. However, Gangjin and Haengbok are worried that the two grandpas will go too far and
try to face the enemy until one side was defeated. Luckily, the twin demons intend to live on until they can see the Noh
twin brothers again. Their fondness for the Nohs is what keeps them going. As they leave, Gangjin once more reminds
them to be careful and to only slow the enemy.

Far off at the North Sea, the master of the Ice Palace is engaging against a horde formed by the Demon God of Earth. Her
snow-based techniques only manage to slow down the enemy, but there are always alternative ways to fight. She pulls out
twin snake swords and pretty much eviscerates the entire earth clan frontline.

Interestingly, unlike with the Metal Clan attack from long ago, the Earth Clan’s Demon God followers are not attacking
indiscriminately. They seem to understand that the Ice Palace master is too powerful for them to engage head-on and
orders their rear-line unit into a defensive posture.

After the Earth Clan fanatics retreated, the Ice Palace’s master returns home and wonders how they are displaying such
high-level intellect as Demon Gods usually lose their sense of reasoning. Normally they can only retain higher intelligence
when their elemental Ki is dispersed. However, the fanatics displayed the opposite conscious about their life. Additionally,
the Demon God itself has not shown up.

A report comes in and the enemy has unexpectedly taken up position along the southern path. Before the enemy can cut
off the supply lines, the Ice Palace deploys its warriors to break through. Unfortunately, allied clans are currently in
seclusion and only rivals can be contacted for any help. Grandpa Jin Gasu is apparently going to come, but it is
questionable if they can hold out since they are exhausted after fighting the Earth Clan fanatics for so long.

Seohyeon enters the throne room to offer her aid against the enemy with Baek Dong. While her current master is reluctant
to send her out so easily, Seohyeon feels obligated to return the aid she has already received up until now. Baek Dong has
grown much stronger since learning metal and water clan techniques. Considering how easily he dispatched the fanatics
before; they get permission to deploy alongside the rest of the warriors.

Somewhere out near the Northern Seas, Gajang finishes his escort duty with three important government officials that his
father-in-law assigned him. This allowed him to be able to make some new connections along the way. See, his father-in-
law loves the guy after all. Additionally, he asked a favor of the 10000 Steps Clan to capture one of the bandits that
attacked Baek Dong that fateful day. Gajang considers just turning the convict over to the authorities and telling Baek
Dong after, but decides to just let his disciple decide instead. He threatens the man so he does not run away.

While chaos is being caused by the Fire and Earth Demon Gods, a fisherman is casting a net, hoping for a huge catch.
After a struggle, the man manages to pull up his net that is actually being clung onto by a hand shaped out of water. It
seems that the Water Demon God is also active. A huge entity shaped out of the water is then revealed and shocks the
fisherman into begging for forgiveness. Interestingly, unlike the other Demon Gods, the Torrents do not attack and simply
throws a huge catch of fish up for the lucky man.

Chapter 261

Gajang traverses through the cold landscape with his prisoner while thinking of how his daughter has worked hard on her
recovery in such a place. Surprisingly, parallel to him is a group of riders with a familiar face. It is actually his sister-in-law,
Seomun Jinra.
While they started off on the wrong foot originally, she tries to be cordial and ask why he is in the area, but Gajang is
reluctant to answer and is more surprised his sister-in-law is here. She is a bit sad that he is still angry at her, but it IS her
fault that they ended up disagreeing. Did she somehow find out that Seohyeon is at the Ice Palace? No, actually, she is
here for the Earth Demon God. Interestingly, she does not actually try to defend herself for her past actions and graciously
accepts fault. However, this news is even worse. A Demon God is literally right where his daughter is and that is a greater
danger than anything else in this world.

Outside the Ice Palace, a battle rages on against the Earth Clan fanatics. Seohyeon spins into the air with her dual wielded
swords to attack multiple enemies. Unfortunately, her internal energy attacks are not effective at all against these enemies
who are willing to sacrifice their limbs and ignore pain to block attacks. If the combination of her water clan techniques
learned from Maksoo and the Ice Palace master are insufficient, then there are other options. Seohyeon is a genius
afterall.
Instead, she switches to her great aunt’s, Moon Jung Woo’s, martial arts. Her stance becomes that of the Flying Dragon
On the Snow and with a great dual cleave, two enemies lose their arms. Unfortunately, against this horde, this is
insufficient damage.

Although Seohyeon is a genius, her body is too frail to keep up with such techniques. She is forced to backstep into a
retreat, but before she is harmed, the enemy is decapitated by a metal rod wielded by Baek Dong. He is starting to take
after his master quite a lot. Just like Gajang, another head is blasted off with blunt force. The blonde older brother advises
that his younger sister engage into single duels instead of multiple targets. In other words, she has to calm down with the
greedy attacks.

Sadly, this also means that the warriors from the Ice Palace, utilizing water element techniques, also have a lot of trouble
fighting against Earth Ki. Only the sufficiently experienced elders and palace master are able to actually deal with the
enemy properly. If the situation begins to go south like this, Baek Dong considers just escaping to safety with Seohyeon.

On the Fire Demon God front, the local forces are desperately fighting against the Fire Clan fanatics. These burnt-out
looking men shamble forward more like zombies than they are martial artists, but are still very capable of intercepting the
spears being thrust at them. The troops locked in position are vulnerable to attack now, but luckily reinforcements arrived
to remove the arm of the attacker and save them. The Demon Twins have arrived on site to help. The old men praise the
bravery of the soldiers and ask them to retreat now.

Instantaneously, the enemies before them are decimated. The fire fanatics seem to explode upon their deaths. The twins
have never fought against the Raging Fire Demon God, but they are glad this is not the Torrent Demon God. As the
Demon God approaches, the twins notice that his clothes are on fire, but are still okay. How strange.

Chapter 262

Upon his arrival in town, Gajang and Jinra find that the place is completely abandoned. Sister-in-law believes that
everyone must have evacuated due to the current situation with the Demon God, so the two set off to track him down in
hopes of finding Seohyeon.

The group set camp for the night and discussed the situation. Amazingly the Earth Clan has been tracking the Earth
Demon God for over half a year now, and yet did not actually manage to stop him. Kwon, the current Earth Demon God,
has been accumulating strength as time passes and is nearly at the final stages of Demon God evolution. Gajang is
infuriated by the fact the Earth Clan did nothing to overpower and stop him despite knowing the eventual dangers.

Thanks to the origins of the 5 clans, their martial arts are unstable because the 5 elements were never harmonized into
one. Each elemental clan’s martial arts at their peak will only be able to utilize their own element. Consequently, those that
become Demon Gods will lose their reasoning and try to become their element in the most literal sense. However, a single
element’s energy is insufficient to help them achieve their intended goal of reaching the supreme state of the original god
of 5 elements, so they end up wandering in hopes of absorbing more power.

Gajang blames the Earth Clan for their inaction, but Jinra has her reasons. Overpowering a Demon God candidate is
extremely difficult as they are already the pinnacle members of their clan. The only way to reach the state of Demon God is
to be that strong originally. Secondly, their clan members are reluctant to kill a lifelong friend and clan mate. In the end of
the Demon God life cycle, it is normal that they simply transform completely back into their element and disperse. This is
akin to just simply going on a journey to die by becoming one with your element. This also means the danger of a Demon
God is not always catastrophic. Finally, the Demon Gods also represent the hopes and dreams of every one of the 5 clans.

“All rivers run into the sea” as the 5 clans like to say. While they are of differing elements, the 5 clans martial arts all share
one origin in the end. One at the very peak of the 5 clan’s martial arts, they effectively become like the original supreme
god and can get rid of the barriers between the 5 clans. This is their greatest aspiration and none of the clans wish to block
a possibility of achieving this.
Gajang recalls his master saying this often, so as a member of the Metal Clan, he can understand this aspiration and goal.
However, this does not justify the deaths of everyone caught in the crossfire. Jinra states this is why the 5 clans do not
appear in the Murim. Everyone in the world would attempt to eliminate the 5 clans with their the potential threat of Demon
Gods appearing. However, this is also why the Earth Clan is finally mobilizing against the Earth Demon God. When the
situation becomes a true catastrophe, they must stop the crisis. If it was not a public threat, they would simply let the cycle
run, but now that it has become a global threat, they must step forward to mitigate the damage to ensure their continued
existence.

Gajang can empathize with the reluctance to harm the Demon Gods when he thinks about his master Mo Wei. However,
no matter how much it hurts to do, they must do the right thing.

Around the country, chaos was being caused by the Demon Gods. Every Demon God of every clan had been born and the
situation is as dire as can be now. The Demon Twins are surprised at the power of a truly completed Demon God.
However, martial artists all over the Murim tried to fight against the tide. The Mount Hua Sect is engaging with the Absolute
Metal Demon God and can’t even make a dent. Even the reclusive Shaolin Temple deploys their 18 Arhats to help.

Contrary to the Administrator’s expectations, the Demon God crisis is not just affecting the Murim and weakening them, but
is becoming a global threat that will cause countless casualties among the innocent. Grandpa Jin confronts Gangjin. Will
the third Administrator be as stubborn as his predecessors? A Demon God from every element has now appeared, there is
no way that people are not in danger. Lee Gangjin is not like the past Administrators. As callous and arrogant as he is, he
IS still what you call a virtuous noble.

Gathering his union’s forces, Lee Gangjin orders a pause on all their current missions. They will now wholeheartedly focus
on the Demon Gods and attempt to stop them wherever they are. However, this is the perfect chaos to allow the Murim to
be set back by decades. The slimy tactician also agrees that this is an unprecedented opportunity that aligns with their end
goal. Even so, that does not justify the sacrifices that will be made. Lee Gangjin refuses to do the wrong thing and
reiterates his orders. He demands anyone who doesn’t understand this to step down from their roles.

The Fire Clan shows up to meet with the Administrator, and apparently, they had a deal with each other to ensure a crisis
like this would not occur. However, it seems the Fire Clan failed to inform the Administration until the Raging Fire Demon
God started literally decimating towns off the face of the map. According to the Fire Clan, there were circumstances that
prevented them from keeping their end of the deal, but will accept the consequences after the situation is rectified.

Chapter 263

Separating from Jinra, Gajang embarks to search on his own. The Earth Clan is tracking down the Earth Demon God, but
not at a pace that satisfies the worried father. Nearby sounds of fighting between locals and the Earth Clan fanatics draw
Gajang’s attention. He jumps in quickly to save these people from all dying and in an instant wipe out the enemy. In order
to find Seohyeon, he asks the survivors where the rest of the fanatics are.

On the other hand, Maksoo is heading towards a location Gajang informed him about. The water in the area attacks
enemies, but does not harm the fishermen who live there. One of Maksoo’s crew wonders if it is even necessary to
intervene in that case. The group currently fighting the tidal forces is the Thousand Stream Outlaws which are just
criminals. Even if the water has no intentions of harming the innocent, the waves have sunk dozens of ships.

The outlaws engage the water twisters, but are clearly outmatched. Upon sailing closer through the conflict, Maksoo
realizes something important. It is clear that these are Water Clan techniques and he summons his own twisters to protect
the ship. As the opposing twisters combine into a singular attack and strikes, Maksoo dives in to verify his suspicions. It
seems that this Demon God of Torrents is Shim Sah Sook, his master.

Back at the Northern Seas, the Ice Palace group is trekking through a blizzard to finally confront the Earth Demon God.
The Master of the Ice Palace braces herself to fight now that the enemy is willing to. In the Demon God’s eyes, he views
this as an opportunity to grow stronger once more and armors his body with stone debris. His body looked like soft earth
and mud at first, but now it has become a literal golem of stone, surprising even the heroine of the Ice Palace. None of the
warriors amongst her ranks were prepared for such a sight.
The stand-off does not last very long though, as a very worried father charges into the enemy rear lines. Like the storm of
metal that he is, Gajang easily storms through the fanatics all the way to the Earth Demon God with a solid tonfa smash to
the face.

Chapter 264

Seohyeon is excited to see the visage of her father appear at their hour of need and calls out to him. However, the Ice
Palace master is worried that the Metal Clan will not be effective enough against the Earth Clan. The two elements are
linked too closely to deal true damage.

Shockingly, the Earth Demon God locks down the twin tonfas and claims that he and Gajang are not actually enemies.
How could that be?! Through the synergy of elements: “Earth gives life to Metal.” Gajang is uncertain how this battle will
play out as a result. Continuing on, the Earth Demon God claims that the Metal Ki of Gajang is powerful enough to harm
him. Instead of fighting, he wants Gajang to help him and in return he will help Gajang. The peerless father requests that
his enemy leaves and then there will be no conflict. That will not work though because the Earth Demon God seeks power
to become the supreme god and thus needs to fight the strong. Negotiations have clearly broken down and the golem
monster kicks Gajang in the chest. This much is easily resisted by the Brilliant Dragon. Utilizing that same leg as leverage,
Gajang topples the Demon God into a brawl on the ground.

The Ice Palace takes initiative to attack the fanatics while the Demon God is being subdued. As battles break out, the Ice
Palace master is shocked to see that Gajang and the Demon God are fighting like a bunch of street thugs instead of
martial artists. Punch by punch, blow for blow, they are just smacking each other back and forth with neither side gaining
the upper hand. Upon declaring the Brilliant Dragon as an enemy, the Earth Demon God escapes like a diglett and
disappears.

The group returns to the Ice Palace camp and recap the current situation. The Earth Clan will likely arrive soon, but Gajang
wonders if the Ice Heroine is okay with this. She is an experienced woman who understands the 5 clans well enough and
also knows why the Earth Clan did not intervene sooner and more openly. It makes her angry, but she still understands it
at least. On the other hand, she is curious as to what fighting the Earth Demon God directly felt like. On this topic, Gajang
has questions of his own.

The 5 clans are heavily reliant on their elemental attributes to fight. All of their skills and techniques are affected by this
and this causes fights between the clans to be very influenced by the relationship of the elements. In this case, Gajang’s
attacks did little to nothing to the Earth Demon God and similarly, the attacks of the Earth element did little to Gajang. In
other words, between the two, neither felt very powerful or skilled.
But the Ice Heroine noting Baek Dong’s effectiveness against the Earth element. How is that possible when he is also of
the Metal Clan? The main difference here is that Baek Dong utilizes techniques taught to him by Maksoo, Gajang, and the
Ice Heroine together. Luckily, Seohyeon realizes this fact because Baek Dong is very much like his master, lacking in
intelligence and brainpower. Gajang laughs at Baek Dong’s simplicity, but Seohyeon quickly guns him down too with her
words. Thanks to Gajang’s training methods, Baek Dong is only able to learn by repetition and simplicity.

Upon learning that Baek Dong can more easily take down the enemy fanatics than everyone else, Gajang quickly brings
him outside to train. He is actually quite proud of his disciple for picking up techniques on his own from the Ice Palace
beyond Maksoo’s teachings.

The two begin to spar and exchange punches. As the match goes on, the Ice Heroine is very surprised by their martial
arts. They seem kind of simple and do not seem like something of high caliber.

Chapter 265

It is clear that Baek Dong has grown a lot since they last met and every blow makes Gajang ache. On the next punch Baek
Dong makes, the Brilliant Dragon finally understands what changes his disciple has achieved. Gajang grapples the final
punch and judo throws his disciple. Before crashing into the ground, he catches Baek Dong by the shirt and ensures he is
not injured. According to Gajang, Baek Dong has mixed martial arts of other schools into his techniques and thus the
Brilliant Dragon has a request of the Ice Heroine: He wishes to learn from her as well.

As that is happening, the Administrator is rushing to the Shaolin Temple. He recalls Jin Gasu’s words about using the 5
clans to weaken the Murim. The situation is too dire to make use of and should be resolved instead. On the other hand,
foreign kingdoms are clearly making their own moves. If a war occurs, there is no way the Administrator can maintain
things properly. As much as Lee Gangjin hates to admit it, he knows the second Administrator is right. While this is an
opportunity that will never show up again, he decides to make the right decision instead.
At the Shaolin Temple, he is shocked to find that head monk Ilsan is dead. The monk was one of the 5 supremes under
heaven who led the Shaolin temple in its isolation. Gangjin was hoping that Ilsan would be there to help resolve the crisis
with the Demon Gods, but it seems that the arrogant Administrator truly is not omniscient afterall. Well, at any rate, Gangjin
pays his respects to the late elder and prays that the Murim was filled with more people like the head monk. It is clear he
respects all the members of the 5 supremes and genuinely hopes well upon them regardless of affiliation. If there is a
Nirvana, Gangjin hopes the old monk makes it there.

One of the elder monks, Hyung Oh, greets the Administrator and offers their support. Gangjin is afraid that the Shaolin
Temple without the supreme Ilsan is not strong enough to handle the crisis at hand. Even so, they wish to lend their aid
and help resolve things. Before departing, Ilsan left behind a letter for Gangjin. It is just one word: Harmony. It is a clear
indicator as to what he wanted Gangjin to do and we shall see this soon.

The perspective shifts straight to the Metal Demon God. in his eyes, he can no longer recognize people nor his attackers
as humans, but mere shadows. He is facing continued attacks and can’t understand why. If they refuse to let him pass, he
will simply blast his way through with force. He is desperately trying to move forward to stop someone from going down the
wrong path. If this is Mo Wei, then it is clear that he is trying to save his apprentice from the same fate as his own. Out of
all the Demon Gods, only the Absolute Metal Demon God is on the move.

Back home at the Heavenly Dragon Association, Gun Oh gathers the warriors for deployment. He worries for their lives
and is reluctant to make the order. Il Sang stands with him and assures him that it is worth risking his life to stop the
Demon Gods. If anything, this is a noble cause. Even if it is, Gun Oh wishes that Il Sang and the others return alive and
well. Each clan sent elites to join a task force meant to subdue the Demon Gods. Il Sang will be leading this force to go
help alleviate the situation.

Chapter 266

Within 2 days of training, Gajang is able to grasp the Ice Heroine’s teachings. The Brilliant dragon professes that he has
been too arrogant to think he already knew every type of martial arts. The Ice Heroine thinks that the man is too humble. It
is clear that Noh Gajang is extremely talented and skilled to be able to learn this quickly. However, will this help him fight
the Earth Demon God? Gajang is still uncertain. He is definitely grasping something new, but he thinks he needs to talk to
someone who is also knowledgeable about the 5 elements. In Baek Dong’s case, he learned not just from the Ice Palace,
but also Maksoo. This means that Gajang likely needs someone of another element to help him as well.

Gajang asks the Ice Heroine about the fundamental knowledge of the 5 elements and similar concepts, but only comes to
realize that he was so focused on physical learning, that his book smarts were severely lacking. Seohyeon realizes this
and whispers something to her father. He asks to train again with the Ice Heroine in a few days. At the same time, the
Earth Clan has finally arrived and the Ice Heroine decides to meet with them.

While Jinra is meeting with the Ice Heroine, Gajang talks to Baek Dong privately about the criminal he captured. The
prisoner should be in the Earth Clan’s custody at the moment, so the master wishes for his disciple to decide on the man’s
fate on his own. It will be near impossible to find this man again if he is let go. Gajang wants his disciple to make the
choice himself and tank through the painful memories and pain. No matter what choice Baek Dong makes, his master will
support him.

Far away, the 18 Arhats are engaging the Raging Fire Demon God. Despite their combined strength, the flames blow them
away easily and allow the Demon God to escape. The situation has become all-out war against the Demon Gods and their
fanatics. Regardless of affiliation, every group in the Murim has joined together against a common enemy. Even so, it is
clear that everyone is struggling and can barely hold out against a single Demon God. Fighting all 5 would be a horrible
nightmare.

Whenever the martial artists gained the upper hand against a Demon God, they would instantly flee. This made tracking
them down completely difficult and defeating them even more difficult. Currently the Raging Fire and Absolute Metal
Demon Gods were the ones causing the most damage around the country. Most of the strongest martial artists remained
within cities to ensure their safety, so gathering the forces required to subjugate a Demon God has been difficult. Although
the Demon Twins can’t think of a solution, they are confident Lee Gangjin will find one.

Of course, Lee Gangjin does have one. Harmony, as the late supreme Ilsan put it, is the true solution. The Administrator
has gathered the leaders of the Murim together in a meeting to discuss the possibility of a united front against the Demon
God crisis. Sadly, even Gangjin is not confident about this. He knows that all the sects have their own agendas and
motivations. But this is how much the Administrator respects the old monk. He put this meeting together despite not having
much faith in it in order to fulfill the wishes of harmony that were passed down to him.

As the meeting begins, the Shaolin temple interrupts Gangjin and speaks first. They formally request that the Administrator
takes leadership of the entire alliance which surprises him. Gangjin’s resources allow him to track down the Demon Gods
and predict their routes. He even warned the Murim of the situation and tried his best to help out as is, which is a far cry
from his usual hostility. For the sake of those caught in between, the Shaolin Temple wishes that Lee Gangjin will be the
leader.

The Shaolin temple already requested that everyone support this notion, but the Administrator is certain not everyone
agreed. Of course, not everyone did, but the majority of them did. Those in attendance to this meeting have all come to
support Gangjin and this confuses him a lot. He can’t get a good read on any of them anymore because the intentions are
so pure and just. It is really something he is not used to.

In that case, he will take control of the situation the best way he knows how, manipulation. He presents a pretty realistic
question: Who will sacrifice the most for this cause?

Chapter 267

Although the Administrator vies to be virtuous, he ends up doing devious things all the time. In order to get comfortable
with the situation he strikes out against the meeting room to feel them out. The Shaolin Temple immediately volunteers to
be this sacrificial lamb. According to supreme Ilsan, Gangjin has a trait that is both good and bad. The elder monk was
advised by Ilsan to use a specific tactic against Gangjin if he ever showed signs of wickedness.

The elder monk strongly reminds the Administrator that many innocents are dying in this crisis. As shocked as Gangjin is
at the comment, he acknowledges this move that was passed down to the monks. Would the old monk not reach Nirvana if
he worried so much for everyone after leaving? Probably, but even so, Ilsan would be willing to jump straight into hell if it
meant saving people. Gangjin knows this to be true and is why he has the utmost respect for the late supreme.

In that case, no more games will be played. The Administrator will take control of the united front, but only once everyone
in the room tells him what they are truly after. Once he learns their true motivations for coming together to help, he will
expend all of his effort in resolving the crisis.
Meanwhile, Seohyeon is teaching her father about the fundamental theories behind the 5 elements and yin-yang. This will
help him further his understanding of martial arts. There are many explanations using different terminologies that are all
referring to the same basic concepts. Overall, his daughter understands why he has not understood these things before.
The Metal Clan techniques do not require all these theories, and Mo Wei likely taught him in a way that fit Gajang best.

Noh Gajang appreciates the fact that everyone in his family is always on his side and supporting him like this. Suddenly,
Gajang is reminded of Haengbok and something he once called him. “A father is unrivaled as no one can match his
determination.” In other words, Noh Gajang is the Peerless Dad. Look, it's the title! We finally made it.

Anyways, Gajang looks up to the sky and recalls how he used to blame the heavens for his many hardships. He finally
feels that he is able to forgive the heavens and move on now that things are working out.

Later on, the Peerless Dad begins his training to fight the Earth Demon God. There is not enough time for him to pick up
the Ice Heroine’s martial arts like Baek Dong did, so he must learn them with his body like usual. Apparently fighting her is
similar to fighting Maksoo which helped him further understand things better.

Additionally, he started training with Seomun Jinra. The goal of this is to help him further his understanding of Earth Ki.

Chapter 268

Since the Metal and Earth Clans are in harmony, they never fight. However, the reason why Baek Dong is so strong
against the Earth element is because he mixed Metal and Water elements. Fundamentally this is not how the 5 clans
usually function, so Jinra also would not be aware that this is effective against the Earth element.

Gajang loses the first round against Jinra and they go to another round. Once they finish, they review the damage they
dealt to each other and find that Earth and Metal elements are simply not very effective against each other. Luckily, while it
is ineffective, it is not drained by the Earth element to augment it. They do not give up on training further to find a solution.

Late at night, Lee Gangjin can’t help but feel conflicted. The clans of Murim have demands for their participation and
Gangjin knows that refusing will cost many innocent lives. He laments on how it is difficult to be righteous, but promises his
late master to stay the course.

Haengbok finds his father outside and is surprised he was home. Jin Gasu left a letter to the child to pass onto Gangjin
telling him to not attack unless they break the law. In other words, do not take advantage of the situation to backstab
people. Gangjin wonders what his son thinks he should do. However, Haengbok already knows that his father has decided
anyway so it doesn't matter. He knows that Gangjin made an important promise, and he considers that promise to be the
most important thing. So therefore, Lee Gangjin will do the right thing. This response shows how his son has matured and
he offers to take him along on this mission.

The Enlightened Church officially announces his isolation to the world much to Gangjin’s chagrin. Cheon Soso is currently
looking at the Wood Demon God, and finds that he is quite lost. He has no intention of fighting her and simply leaves. She
has no intention of helping out this time and is very happy to leave Gangjin squirming.

Later on, the Torrent Demon God faces off against the Mount Hua Sect, but they are unable to deal any true damage.

Chapter 269

While their blade work is capable of stopping the water techniques, they simply can’t reach the true body of the Demon
God. In the middle of the battle, the Demon God turns away as Maksoo approaches.

Maksoo rushes off the boat to tell the Mount Hua Sect to back down. He claims that no one will be harmed as long as the
Torrents Demon God is not attacked. If there are casualties, Maksoo will take responsibility. Overall, it is a baffling
declaration for the Murim.

It has been a few days of sparring, but Jinra and Gajang have yet to make a breakthrough. In that case, Jinra suggests a
new thing for them to try. They exchange Metal and Earth Ki and finally find a new path. They take this new solution and
test it against the Ice Heroine in a sparring match, which left her shocked. It seems that they have figured out a new power
via mixing elemental Ki.

Eventually, the group head off to subjugate the Earth Demon God. The Earth Clan will be locking the Demon God down
from escaping, but still wish to protect the Demon God at the same time. In their eyes, he is still a clanmate which Gajang
can sympathize with.

Off in the distance they finally see the aura of the Demon God pouring out and Gajang hops off his horse to face the
enemy. The Peerless Dad’s thoughts are filled with worry that he will feel the same way about the Absolute Metal Demon
God, but considering the previous Metal Demon God, he doubts it. Well, that is until he learns who the current Absolute
Metal Demon God is.

Chapter 270

It seems they have arrived at the point where the Earth Demon God is no longer human. Despite being warned to not
engage head-on by Jinra, Gajang charges in anyway. He absorbs a solid kick and the Earth Clan begins deploying around
the Demon God to perform their seal.

The current crisis has been dubbed the Demon God’s Revolt, and the Murim finally united around the Administration to
face the threat. Under Lee Gangjin’s intelligence network, each Demon God was tracked down and assigned an assault
group. Originally, the martial artists were disorganized and chasing the Demon Gods at random, but now they were fighting
based on which techniques worked best. Despite their efforts to do right, the Murim Alliance still came to piss off Gangjin.
At least that lets him be slightly wicked. For now, he will focus on the Demon Gods.

Against the Earth Demon God, Gajang planned to fight a long battle of attrition. The Peerless Dad is someone who has
never collapsed from exhaustion, so he plans on using that stamina to wear the Demon God down. Absolutely insane
really. Meanwhile the Earth Clan maintained a seal which kept the Earth Demon God from escaping into the ground. The
Ice Heroine watches over them all and can only think of how crazy the idea is.

The two fight until the next day and surprisingly, the Earth Demon God actually begins to speak in his exhaustion. This
means he is regaining his senses and thus running low on Earth Ki. He laments that a member of the Metal Clan has
stopped him from achieving divinity and launches a desperate attack.

Chapter 271

Gajang completely shatters the Demon God’s kicking leg and combos into a critical strike. The stones that armored his
body are completely lost and he is back in soil form. Suddenly, he seems to escape back into the soil and charges towards
Jinra, but comes to a halt. It is finally over now, and Jinra informs Kwon that he failed and did not become a supreme, but
instead a demon.

He once more laments his failure to become a divine supreme. However, Gajang berates the weakened Demon God for
his foolish goals harming countless people. Surprisingly, Kwon sees an opportunity within Gajang instead. Jinra
desperately pleads for him to return to the clan, and the Demon God can only lament further that he has left the others with
such burdens. However, Kwon claims that had he known the Metal Clan produced a Divine Supreme, then he would have
possibly not gone astray. In his eyes, he can see that Gajang’s mixed Ki is starting to give him the qualities of the Divine
Supreme. He chooses to atone for his sins in his final moments by grasping onto Gajang’s tonfa and dispersing.

Meanwhile, Lee Gangjin deploys the military to engage the elemental fanatic hordes so the martial artists can focus upon
the Demon Gods. His only worry is the Torrent Demon God which the Enlightened Church normally handled. However,
Soso refused to help on purpose.

The alternative to Cheon Soso is Jin Dan the Tao Supreme. Among the Demon Gods, the Torrents Demon God actually
has done the least damage. Jin Dan wonders if it is truly okay to fight it. Unfortunately, the fishermen are afraid to go out to
the water now because of the Demon God, so they have no choice but to handle it.

Chapter 272

The Kunlun and Taoists deploy against the Torrents Demon God as it approaches. Thanks to Jin Dan’s techniques, they
are able to damage the Demon God of water, but that does not ensure they can seal off its escape. Imbuing energy in a
sword is the normal level for a swordsman. Those that can use that energy in attacks are peak masters. When that energy
can be utilized beyond that, then they are a divine swordsman. This is what makes Jin Dan one of the 5 supremes.

Jin Dan obliterates the water avatar of the Demon God and finds the main body, but is intercepted by Maksoo. The two
attempt to negotiate, but can’t come to an agreement at all. One side wants to protect the Demon God, and the other
wants it dead. Even though Maksoo is strong, he knows that his enemy is one of the 5 supremes and thus very powerful. A
hard fight awaits him.

Chapter 273

Instead of targeting Jin Dan directly, he focuses his attacks on the ships that support him. Maksoo threatens to kill
everyone on the ships and infuriates the supreme. It was a bluff and gamble that was aimed at forcing Jin Dan to retreat,
but unfortunately this did not work. In a show of absolute dominance, Jin Dan manipulates the water with his sword energy
and disperses Maksoos control over the ships.

Unfortunately, Maksoo is no match for the true strength of a supreme. Jin Dan launches his sword into the Water Ghost’s
defensive barrier which is about to eliminate him, but the Torrent Demon God’s true body rushes to the surface and
intercepts the sword. Jin Dan recalls his sword and halts his attack.

Maksoo finally meets his master again and hugs him tightly. It seems that Shim Sah Sook realizes that he is a Demon God
and tells his disciple that there is no more time. He tells his disciple about how proud he is and promises that he will never
allow Maksoo to also become a Demon God. There is no time to explain everything and Shim Sah Sook disperses
completely and seemingly fills his disciple with energy. It is a sad moment for Maksoo as he mourns his loss.

Jin Dan is taken back completely by the sudden dispersion. Demon Gods lose their sanity and normally will not do this, but
Shim Sah Sook returned to the elements by his own will.

Meanwhile the Heavenly Dragon Association’s camp finds that the Noh twins have snuck along with the task force.
Captain Ham and Il Sang are worried that Gajang will be mad about this and wish to keep the boys safe at home.
However, the twins argue that no one else would get such special treatment and should be allowed to join the force.

Chapter 274

Back at the Northern Seas, Gajang wonders if Baek Dong is okay with his decision. He crippled the criminals Ki center and
severed his tendons. Baek Dong does not regret this decision, but wonders if it was correct. Gajang reiterates that he will
support him no matter what.

Later that night, Gajang realizes he is seeing multiple energies flowing through him when he uses Metal Ki. It is likely that
the Earth Demon God granted him Earth Ki. However, he also notices Water Ki within him, which is likely from spending
time with Shim Sah Sook and Maksoo. Despite the mixed elements, he feels fine, which means he has attained the body
capable of becoming the Divine Supreme. However, he is clearly deviating a little. His expression turns to one full of greed
and madness as he practices the energy. Now what would happen if he manages to absorb the other elements as well?

For some reason, he decides to leave Seohyeon behind. His expression is still full of madness and he tells her to wait at
the Ice Palace for now. Arrogance exudes from him as he hugs his daughter and he leaves for another journey.

Seohyeon realizes that there is something very wrong with him at the moment. Gajang’s energy burned her and was
uncomfortable. The Ice Heroine feels the same energy and tries to reassure her, but prays that family bonds can overcome
the curse of the 5 clans.
At the imperial palace, Jin Gasu comes out angrily. It seems the emperor requested for an assassination despite his
retirement. Lee Gangjin arrives and wonders if his predecessor failed to convince the emperor to not go through with it.
Both men agree that the emperor had the eyes of a mad man and will not listen to reason.

Well that will be all for now! Next time we can find out where the Peerless Dad has run off to…perhaps to hunt down all the
Demon Gods and absorb their energy? Turn on post notifications to know when the next part, which I would like to say is
the final part for this series comes out, like if you enjoyed the video. And consider subscribing for more manwha’s like this.
