Level: MS 3. THIRD TERM EXAM
Endangered animals
Many animals living on Earth today are endangered.
Endangered animals include tigers, rhinoceroses, lions and
many more. Their numbers have been greatly reduced and
only few now live in the wild.
The biggest threat to animals comes from humans. People
are destroying animals’ habitat, they are replacing the forests
with farmlands, houses and factories. As a result, birds and
animals have lost their habitat.
Many wild animals are also hunted by humans, for their
fur or horns or just to have fun. Others are killed by pollution
and global warming which changes the climate and affects the
animals’ survival.
That’s why governments have decided to establish special
parks and biosphere reserves to protect these endangered
species and let them live safe.
