Library Rules and Regulations for Guest Membership
The authorities have the discrete power to issue/cancel the
membership without citing any reasons. On cancellation of the
membership, membership fees (Rs.1000/-) will not be refunded.
Guest members need to follow all the rules and regulations of the
library and security guidelines issued by the campus authorities
from time to time.
Guest members are not allowed to bring any guests along with
them.
Guest members are allowed only during working hours of the
University (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday) and on
Saturday from 9.00 AM to 6:00 PM. The library will remain closed on
University declared holidays.
Members are required to use resources with great care. They will be
responsible for any damage caused to the property /reading
materials.
Members may consult documents within the library premises.
During their membership period, they can also use online, full-text,
and statistical databases within the library premises. Those who
opted for the borrowing facility can borrow one book from the
library.
Guest members will not be entitled to access databases remotely.
The computers in the library are meant for accessing electronic
resources only. Access to social networking sites and other personal
emails is strictly prohibited.
The book/s shall be issued for 14 days. Renewal can be done if there
is/are no hold/s on it.
An overdue reminder will be sent to the user two days before the
due date; if failed to renew or return even after the third reminder,
their membership shall be blocked, and the book/s be treated as
lost. In this case, the book replacement costs/ three times the book
cost, and Rs 250/- shall be deducted from the membership deposit.
The membership card is for library use only. Thus, it should not be
used for any other purpose.
Loss of membership card should be reported immediately, and a fee
of Rs 200.00 (rupees two hundred only) will be charged for issuance
of a new membership card.
The membership card is not transferrable. Only the designated
person can use the membership facility.
All the non-refundable fees may attract taxes as applicable.
