CONTENT SYNOPSIS NB: new modules must have an amplified content synopsis The module begins with an overview of the heterogeneity of social care delivery systems in Europe prior to the 1950. In the sessions which follow the impact of these developments on social care delivery in separate states is examined: Sweden, Denmark, Germany (East, West and United), Poland, Italy, Spain, UK. Finally, the continuities and discontinuities in these delivery systems are compared to discover strategies which might be transferable across states and to map out future trends nationally and on a European level. TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS: The learning on this module will be through a limited amount of lecture input at start of module and thereafter there will be workshops using adult learning principles and smallgroup project work for presentation by students to whole class. ASSESSMENT METHODS Please ensure that the sequence numbering of the assessments is in the correct chronological order for the module, as this may affect funding.
