Course Requirement in SC-PEH 2

Student Teacher: Diana M. Zambrano Date: March 21, 2024

Lara Kate Garing
Sheena Kaye Bandiala
Jastine Jupiter
Lovelyn Bungalso

Grade Level: 6

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the students can:

a. identify the different organ system
b. explain how the different organ systems work
c. demonstrate understanding on how to take care of the different organ system

II. Subject Matter

a. Topic: Human Body Systems

b. Learning Competency: Explain how the different
organ systems work together
c. E-Reference: [Link]
d. Instructional Materials:
 power point presentation
 printed materials

III. Procedure

A. Preparation

1. Greetings
2. Prayer
3. Energizer
4. Checking of Attendance

B. Motivation

Do not let me Fall!

Direction: The class will be divided into two, each member of a group will be
given a roll of paper and they will stick it between their nose and mouth and the
mechanics of the game is that each member will step with the paper stuck in their
nose without it falling, in the front they will see a bottle where they will put the
rolled paper, it is necessary not to fall the rolled paper, when everything is finished it
is necessary to complete the puzzles that are placed inside of rolled paper, whoever
is first must guess the completed puzzle and the meaning of each picture.
C. Presentation of the Topic

What do you see in the picture?

What game are they playing? Answer - Baseball
What attitude should they possess in order to win a game? Answer – Teamwork
Just like all the organs in the body, they must work together as a team to keep the
body alive and well.

D. Discussion

The teacher introduces the topic to the learners by using the PowerPoint
presentation as a guide for the lesson proper.

Our human body is made up several organ systems that work together to make sure
the body keeps functioning.

These are human body systems that work together as a unit to make sure the body
keeps functioning. Each system has a special job. All of our body systems have to
work together to keep us healthy.
The interesting thing about organ system is none of them are able to complete their
functions without the help of at least one other organ system.
They are all interdependent on each other, meaning they need each other in order to
function.

Here is how the body system works together;

Circulatory System Respiratory System

 The circulatory system works very closely with the respiratory system to
provide body cells with needed oxygen and remove carbon dioxide waste.
 The heart pumps oxygen-poor blood from the body to the lungs through the
pulmonary arteries. Gas exchange occurs in the capillary net surrounding the
alveoli.

Muscular System

Skeletal System

Nervous System

 The muscular, skeletal, and nervous system work together to create

movement.
Digestive System Circulatory System

 The digestive system works very closely with the circulatory system to get the
absorbed nutrients distributed through your body.
 The circulatory system also carries chemical signals from your endocrine
system that control the speed of digestion.

Urinary System/Excretory System

 Urinary system cleans the blood of waste products produced by skeletal,

muscular, digestive, respiratory, circulatory, and digestive system.

Endocrine System Central Nervous System

 Endocrine and central nervous system are the major control systems for
regulating homeostasis. Body systems working together maintain internal
stability and balance.
 Homeostasis is the ability to maintain a relatively stable internal state that
persists despite changes in the world outside.
 All living organisms, from plants to puppies, must regulate their internal
environment to process energy and ultimately survive.
E. Generalization

What are the human body systems, and what are their primary functions in
maintaining the overall health and functioning of the body?

Why is it important to prioritize self-care and take care of your body?

F. Application

ACTIVITY: WORD JUMBLE CHALLENGE

The class will be divided into two groups. Each group will form a line. They will be
given scrambled words and need to work together to identify the human body system that a
picture represents. Once they've figured it out, they will paste it on the board. The first group
to correctly answer three times will be the winner.

1. IISTEVEDG TMYESS
2. TOARESPYIR SSEMYT
3. SOURVNE ESSMYT
4. LUCUMSRA YMTSSE
5. TELSEKAL ESSMYT

G. Evaluation

Multiple Choice. Choose the letter of the correct answer.

1. Which of the following statements explain how circulatory system works

with respiratory system?

a. It provides body cells with needed oxygen and remove carbon dioxide
waste.
b. It absorbs nutrients distributed through the body.
c. It provides body cells with needed carbon dioxide and absorb nutrients.
d. It absorbs oxygen and nutrients distributed through the body.

Answer - A

2. Which of the following statements explain why the circulatory system works
with digestive system?

a. To help the body create movement.

b. To get the absorbed nutrients distributed through the body.
c. To help regulate the chemical processes in the body.
d. To prevent disorders in the circulatory system.

Answer – B

3. How does muscular, skeletal and nervous system work together?

a. To create movement.
b. To clean the blood from waste products produced by other body
system.
c. To enable the person to grow and multiply.
d. To boost the immune system.

Answer – A

True or False. Write true if the statement is true and false if not.

4. Digesting food requires teamwork between the digestive system and several
other organ systems, including the nervous, cardiovascular, and muscular
system.

Answer – True

5. Human body systems function independently to keep the body alive and
function normally.

Answer – False

9-10. Write a short essay on what you learned in today’s lesson. What is human
body organ system and how can you take care of this?

H. Assignment

Human Body Systems Graphic Organizer

Students are to create a graphic organizer that focuses on the human body systems
as specified by the teacher. For each system, students should include the following
information: the name of the system, basic functions, brief description of how it interacts
with another body system. This is to be done on white paper only.
