State – To tell.
Register – To sign up.
Vote – To elect new leaders.
Hereditary Title – A royal title such as prince or princess.
Nobility – Like a Queen or King.
To be declared – To be told something publicly.
Legally Incompetent – Having mental problems.
Confined – To be kept in a place.
Own – To have a debt.
Overdue – To past a deadline.
File a tax return – To send tax paperwork to the government.
Non-U.S. Resident – Not a U.S resident.
Communist Party – No freedom like China and North Korea.
Terrorist Organization – An organization that uses violence against
people.
Totalitarian Party – Government control everything and people have no
power.
Advocate – To support.
Overthrow of a Government – To remove a government from power.
Persecuted – To hurt someone badly.
Religion – A belief in God.
National Origin – Where a person if from.
Genocide – To kill a whole race.
Torture – To hurt someone physically.
Kill – To cause a death of a person.
Forcing Sexual Contact or Relations – Touch someone body when they
don`t want it.
Military Unit – A group that works for government.
Participate – To be part of.
Paramilitary Unit – Like a military group but is not official.
Police Unit – A group that protects the community.
Self-Defense Unit – A group that protect a place.
Vigilant Unit – A group that acts like the police but are not the police.
Rebel Group – A group fights a government.
Guerrilla Group – A group that uses weapons to attack the government.
Militia – An army does not work for a government.
Insurgent Organization – A group fights a government.
Prison or Jail – A place where prisoners are kept.
Prison Camp – A place to keep enemy soldiers.
Detention Facility – A place where people are forced to stay.
Labor Camp – A place to force people to work.
Weapon – Like a Gun of Knife.
Threaten – To warm to hurt someone.
Combat – To fight in War.
Recruit – To ask.
Enlist – To sign up in the armed force.
Conscript – To require someone to join the army.

Rehabilitative Program – A program to help someone to restore health.
Diversion – A different program to avoid jail time.
Withheld Adjudication – Like a second change.
Deferred Prosecution or Deferred Adjudication – Such as community
services.
Sentence – A punishment under the law.
Suspended Sentence – Delaying a sentence.
Probation – You report to an officer regularly instead of jail time.
Parole – The early release of a prisoner.
Smuggle – To take things to a country illegally.
Controlled Substances – You can buy it with prescription but with
restrictions.
Illegally Drugs/Narcotics – Like heroin or cocaine.

and Marine Corps.
Court-Martialed – To go to military court.
Disciplined – To punished to do something wrong.
Discharge – A soldier leaves the military.
Alien – Not a U.S Citizen.
Drafted – Being select as a soldier.
Avoid Being Drafted - to prevent being select as a soldier.
Exemption – Special permission not to do something.
Deserted – To abandon.
Selective Service – Services in armed forces under law.
Constitution – It is the supreme law of the land.
