Activity #1- Limit Switch
• It is a type of sensor that
detects the presence or
absence of an object by
physical contact.
• It consists of an actuator and
a switch. When the actuator
is physically pressed by an
object, the switch changes
state.

Activity #2- Vibration Switch
It is a device that detects
vibration and triggers an alarm
or shuts down a machine if the
vibration exceeds a preset
threshold level.

Activity #2- Vibration Switch
Observe the response of the buzzer when the switch is tapped with a finger

Activity #2- Vibration Switch
• Set up the oscilloscope to visualize both the input signal at point 2 of the NE555 and the
output signal (VO10).
• Utilize the oscilloscope cursor to measure the duration of the high potential output (Vo10)
in milliseconds.
• Verify the previous step's outcome by applying the following formula: T = 1.1R6C2

Activity #3- Condenser Microphone
• It is a device that converts
sound waves into electrical
signals using a capacitor When
a sound wave hits the
capacitor, it causes the plates
to vibrate.
• This vibration changes the
capacitance of the capacitor,
which produces an electrical
signal that corresponds to the
sound wave.

Activity #3- Condenser Microphone
• connect VO11 to Vin1
• Input the sound into microphone. Adjust the R8 and the R12 to change the input signal. Use the scope to
observe the output.
• Connect the pin 8 to V2 of the U3. Use the scope to observe the output.
• Does the volume output change when re-input the sound into microphone?

Activity #4- Dynamic Microphone
• It is a type of microphone
that uses a coil of wire and a
magnet to convert sound
waves into electrical signals.
The coil of wire is attached
to a diaphragm, which is a
thin metal membrane.
• When a sound wave hits the
diaphragm, it causes it to
vibrate. This vibration causes
the coil of wire to move
through the magnetic field,
which produces an electrical
signal that corresponds to
the sound wave.

Activity #4- Dynamic Microphone
• connect Vo12 to Vin1
• Speak sounds into microphone. Adjust the R12 to change the input signal and use the scope to observe the
output.
