FEASIBILITY REPORT

COMMUNITY GARDEN PROJECT

l.Plan:

To create a vibrant community garden providing fresh produce, fostering social interaction,
and promoting environmental awareness.

The Target Beneficiaries are residents of Gen. Fullon, particularly families, seniors, and
individuals with limited access to fresh food.A plan outlining the garden layout, including individual
plots, communal areas, and water access points. Consideration will be given to accessibility for people
with disabilities. A strategy for engaging residents through meetings, workshops, and volunteer
recruitment. This includes establishing a community garden committee to oversee operations.

ll.Materials:

 Land Acquisition: Securing a suitable plot of land, ideally owned by the city or a willing private
landowner. Negotiations and agreements will be documented.
 Gardening Supplies: This includes soil, seeds, seedlings, tools, fencing, compost bins, and a
water source. A detailed list with estimated costs is in Appendix A.
 Infrastructure: This may include raised garden beds, pathways, and a shed for storing tools and
supplies. Costs and sourcing will be detailed.

lll.Management:

 Community Garden Committee: A volunteer-based committee will be responsible for garden


maintenance, plot assignments, conflict resolution, and fundraising.
 Rules and Regulations: Clear guidelines regarding plot usage, water conservation, pest control,
and waste management will be established and communicated to all participants.
 Maintenance Schedule: A schedule for regular tasks like weeding, watering, and harvesting will
be developed and adhered to.

lV.Schedule:

- Phase 1 (Months 1-3): Land acquisition, community engagement, fundraising, and securing necessary
permits.
- Phase 2 (Months 4-6): Site preparation, infrastructure development, and installation of irrigation
systems.

- Phase 3 (Months 7-9): Planting, ongoing maintenance, and community workshops.

- Phase 4 (Months 10-12): Harvesting, community events, and evaluation of the project’s success. A
Gantt chart illustrating the timeline is in Appendix B.
