1 INTRODUCTION
This document details the use of the DSEWebNet® Software, which is compatible with the
DSEGenset®, DSEAts® and DSEControl® range of products.
The manual forms part of the product and should be kept for the entire life of the product. If the
product is passed or supplied to another party, ensure that this document is passed to them for
reference purposes.
This manual covers the registration and operation of the DSEWebNet for DSE products. This is not a
controlled document. DSE does not automatically inform on updates. Any future updates of this
document are included on the DSE website at www.deepseaelectronics.com
The DSEWebNet Software in conjunction with the DSE890, DSE890 MKII or DSE891 Gateway allows
the user to remotely monitor and control a wide range of modules via a supported internet browser.
Once connected, the software allows easy, controlled access to various operating parameters within
the module which can then be viewed as required.
The DSEWebNet must only be used by competent, qualified personnel, as it is possible to operate the
module from a remote location which may have safety implications on the panel / set to which it is
fitted. Access to certain sections of the system may be restricted on a user account by the
organisation account it is registered too.
The information contained in this manual must be read in conjunction with the information contained
in the appropriate module documentation. This manual only details which settings are available and
how they may be used. Separate manuals deal with the operation of the individual module and its
ancillaries, refer to the section entitled Bibliography elsewhere in this document.

3 GETTING STARTED
Launch a compatible internet browser and navigate to the website: www.dsewebnet.com to access
the DSEWebNet Software.
A User Account is a quick and straightforward way for a single user to start and take control of
compatible DSE devices remotely.
In addition to access permissions, an Organisation Account can use the following additional features:
• Geofencing
• Geotracking
• Sending reports and event triggers to multiple users
• Controlling multiple modules of the same type simultaneously
• Customisable graphical user interface
• Configurable module and gateway names
To register a new User Account, click on Register in the Register User section located on the right-
hand side of the webpage, the registration form then appears.
NOTE: If the confirmation email for the DSEWebNet registration is not received, check the
email’s junk or spam email folder.
Once the registration form has been completed, click the Register button to complete. An email is sent
to the new user’s email address to confirm the registration. To cancel the registration, click the Cancel
button.

The Mobile Devices section shows a list of the mobile devices (such as smart phones or tablet
devices) that are linked to the user’s account. A mobile device is linked to a user’s account when it is
used to login to the DSEWebNet App. A mobile device can only be linked to one user account as it
instructs the DSEWebNet to send notifications to that mobile device about the DSE Gateways and
DSE Controllers configured on the user’s account.
DSEWebNet allows events to be sent as notifications. All events recorded in a module’s event log are
uploaded to DSEWebNet and sent as notifications to a registered mobile device by default. These
consist of Alarm Types and Pre-defined Events which can be filtered using the tick boxes on the
Mobile Devices page. An event type is sent if the tick box is enabled.
NOTE: The tick boxes do NOT apply to Event Trigger mobile notifications. Triggers are a
separate process with their own settings within each trigger.
The Gateways and Modules section shows a list of the DSE Gateway and DSE Controllers that are
viewable on the user’s account. The DSE Gateway and DSE Controllers can be added to the user’s
account by the User themselves or forced to the user by their Organisation. To show how the DSE
Gateway and DSE Controllers were added, the Gateways and Modules section is split to into a User
and Organisation section.

NOTE: For more detailed instructions on how to add a DSE Gateway or DSE Controller to
a user’s account, refer to the section 3.3‘Configuring the System’ in this document.
The User section shows the DSE Gateway and DSE Controllers that have been added to the account
by the user, in addition to allowing the user to add/remove DSE Gateways and DSE Controllers. To
add a DSEGateway to the account, click the Plus button located on the top right-hand corner of
the webpage. The Add New Gateway option is opened. See the section entitled Adding or Removing
a Site (DSE Gateway) elsewhere in this document.

DSE Gateway or DSE Controller to a user’s account, refer to the section entitled Configuring
the System elsewhere in this document.
The Organisation section shows the DSE Gateway and DSE Controllers that have been forced to the
user’s account by their organisation administrator. It is not possible for the user to add or remove
Organisation Devices, only organisation administrators are able to do this in the Admin section.
4.3.1.4 TEMPLATES
NOTE: For more detailed instructions on how an organisation admin account forces a
DSE Gateway or DSE Controller to a user’s account, refer to the section entitled Configuring

NOTE: For more information on how to add a Widget Template refer to the section entitled
Widget Templates elsewhere in this document.
The Templates section shows the Widget Template that have created by the user or forced to them by
the organisation administrator. The Widget Templates allow the user to edit the graphical user
interface of the DSE Controller View Level by adding, editing, and removing pages and the
information displayed on them.
To create a new Widget Template, click the Plus button located on the top right-hand corner of the
webpage. The Widget Template Editor option is opened. The user is requested to set the Widget

The purpose of the System Notifications page is to offer a platform for informing users about
scheduled downtimes, service disruption messages, and other relevant updates.
4.3.2 REPORTS
NOTE: A Report only operates if the DSE Controller supports the instrument and related
alarms selected. Refer to the DSE Controller’s Operators Manual for further details.
NOTE: A Report only displays the previous months’ worth of data at a maximum.
It is possible to configure the DSEWebNet to send an email containing a report on a certain DSE
Controller’s instruments or events automatically at configurable intervals. Reports can be configured
by administrators of organisational accounts and subsequently assigned to a user through a group.
NOTE: For information with regards to the setup of the DSEGateway, refer to DSE
Publication: 057-165 DSE890 & DSE891 Gateway Operators Manual located on the DSE
website: www.deepseaelectronics.com
The data used to create a report is uploaded to the DSEWebNet server at an interval configured in
the DSEGateway. If the Historic Upload Interval has been disabled, the Reports do not contain any
information. The resolution of the data used in the Reports is also configured in the DSEGateway.
The method used to populate the Reports with data changes depending upon the Data Resolution
configured. For example, if the fuel level of a generator does not change, no information is uploaded
leading to an empty report.
To create a new report, click the Plus button in the top right-hand corner of the webpage. To run,
editor or delete an existing report, click the appropriate button from the table in the middle of the
webpage for the report entry.
