1. Introduce yourself:

Ans: Points to mention- (This entire introduction should be at least 3-4 minutes long and in proper
English)

2. Will you be taking any dependents with you?

Ans: No.

3. In case of visa refusal:

Ans: mention the exact date and reason for visa refusal. It is available in the visa refusal letter.

4. Why not other universities in UK?

Ans: compare at least two other UK universities in the same league and mention at least 2-3 reasons
on the basis of ranking, modules and tuition fees. You have to know the course modules for other
Universities as well. Mention that 1 course module which is present in this university and not
present in your considered universities.

5. Why this particular university?

Ans: your own reasons + infrastructure, facilities, rankings, awards and achievements, scholarship,
student satisfaction rate, employability rate.

6. . Why this course? How will this course help you? [If asked about your previous stream of study
and why you have changed to a different stream (if you have changed to a different stream), be
ready with your explanation)

Ans: Check if the Course is related to previous study or work experience.

If the Course is not related to previous studies, mention the inspiration and motivation to choose the
course talking about the benefits of the course and check if the course has any professional
accreditation. Demonstrate that you know about the course you have applied for, referencing
specific Modules of interest‐ what they involve and what kind of skills they will help to develop and
how this course is going to help you to achieve your future plan.

modules, highlight skills and modules. This course will help in my overall development. I would attain
various professional as well as personal skills like inter personal communication skills, English and

9. Why UK? Why not countries like Canada, America, Australia or any other European country?

Ans. Canada- In comparison to UK, Canada offers a longer course duration for Post Graduate and
Masters Courses. UK Universities offer Master courses for 12-15 months at an affordable fees and
with better quality of education as well. The weather too can be extremely harsh in most parts of
Canada, whereas in comparison UK has a moderate climate.

USA- UK is one of the safest countries for international students. Countries like USA have legalised
armoury for people aged 18 and above, so higher crime rates.

Australia- Entry criteria is difficult, climate can be pretty hot in some parts, course fees is higher in
comparison to UK
European countries- Can be more expensive, education quality of UK and course selection and
course structure is much better in UK, Language can be a major issue in European countries where
UK is a fully English speaking nation.

10. Why not home country?

Ans: shorter course duration in UK, competitive exams in home country, home country offers more
of theory based education. Lack of course flexibility, course modules are not updated on a regular
basis, modern technologies and digitalized way of studying is present in very few universities in the
home country where the entry criteria and tuition fees is very high.

11. Living expense: for 1 month, 1023 GBP(outer London), 9027 GBP for 9 months.

For inner London, 1334 GBP for a month and 12006 GBP for a year

Accommodation:

Mention the name, address, facilities and cost of the accommodation.

If you are choosing University accommodation then say 5-10 minutes by walk and if you are
choosing private accommodation then calculate the distance of the accommodation from the
university and mention the tentative time accordingly (traveling time cannot be more than 30
mins) keep private accommodation as a back up plan.
