By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils will be able to:
1. Understand with support the main idea of very simple phrases and sentences.
2. Name or describe objects using suitable words from word sets.

LEARNING OUTLINE IMPACT / REFLECTION
Pre-lesson:
Elicit the names of the four Super Friends and their powers.
Focus on what Whisper can do (speak to animals).
Write Animals on the board in a circle.
Elicit the animal he speaks to (a cat) and start a word map.
Elicit animals pupils know and write them on the board.
Lesson development:-
1. Hold up each flashcard in turn. Say the word for pupils to repeat it three or
four times. Stick the flashcards on the board.
2. Pupils look at the picture in their Student’s Books. Elicit who they can see
and that there are other children and adult there. Elicit where they are (at
the pet show).
3. Pre-tech pet and pet show. Play the recording. Pupils point to the animals
and the words when they hear them. (CD1 47)
4. Play the recording again. Pupils repeat the words. Then, practice pointing
and naming in pairs.
5. Pupils look at the chant. Play the recording. Pupils listen and follow the chant
in their Student’s Books. (CD1 48)
6. Play the recording again, pausing after each verse for pupils to repeat. Do the
chant as a class and then in group.
7. Pupils listen to taecher’s instructions.
8. Pupils do worksheets (tick the boxes) Aras rendah
9. Pupils do worksheets (name and writes the animals) Aras sederhana
*Underachieving pupil do worksheet on tracing letters.

Post-lesson:-
Hold a flashcard so pupils cannot see it.
Pupils try to guess, e.g. Is it a frog? The pupil who guesses correctly comes and
chooses a flashcard for the class to guess.

Pre-lesson:
Pre-lesson task 10: Say what’s missing
1. Choose about 7 or 8 topic words which pupils will need for the lesson.
2. Put flashcards or real objects of these vocabulary items on a table.
3. Ask pupils to work in pairs or small groups and to say the words.
4. Check briefly with the whole class.
5. Place a cloth over all the items on the table.
6. Take one or two vocabulary items away.
7. Remove the cloth, keeping the removed items in it.
8. Pupils say which items are missing.
Lesson development:-
1. Put the grid on the on the board. Use own pictures for the images of animals.
Pupils to copy the grid.
2. Pupils tick 3 boxes secretly (e.g. a small frog, an old elephant, a beautiful cat)
and to cover their picture.
3. Pupils have to guess a classmate‘s 3 descriptions by saying them.
4. Demonstrate with 2 pupils how to play the game.
5. Pupil A says, e.g. A big spider, and marks this square in their grid to signal
that they have used this choice.
6. Pupil B says yes or no, depending on whether the guess matches one of the
3 ticks in their grid. (Aras rendah)
7. Pupil B (Aras Sederhana) now guesses in the same way as Pupil A.
8. Divide pupils into pairs or small groups and ask them to play the game.
Fast finishers can add extra ticks and continue.
9. Stop when most, but not all pupils have finished.
*Underachieving pupil do worksheet on writing letters.
Post-lesson:-
1. During the lesson, identify 4 or 5 words or sentences with errors the pupils
made in a writing task. These should be common errors made by more than 1
pupil.
2. Write the sentences on the board.
3. Ask pupils to form groups to identify the errors and to correct them.
4. Elicit answers with the whole class.
5. Ask pupils, a different pupil for each mistake, to come up to the board to write
the corrected versions.

Lesson development:-
1. Pupils look at the pictures in their Student’s Books. Elicit what food they can
see and who they can see on the chair (Tommy).
2. Pre-teach kitchen, milk and juice.
3. Play the recording pupils follow the song in their Student’s Books.
4. Play the recording again, pausing after each verse for students to repeat.
5. When pupils have learnt the song, practice it with the whole class.
6. Use the karouke version of the song for students to sing in groups.(21st CA)
7. Play the recording again. Pupils match the pictures.
8. They draw lines and then check in pairs. Elicit and check.
9. Pupils do worksheets. (Arrange the correct letters for the pictures given)

Post-lesson:-
Make sentences using the flashcards.
Some are true and some are false.
Hold up two or three flashcards and make a sentence, e.g. I’ve got cake, cheese
sandwiches and apples.
Pupils write Yes or No in their notebook.
