Uses Plastiment -VZ is used as a general purpose admixture where the placing
conditions
for high quality concrete are more demanding such as :
„ Elevated temperatures.
„ Fair faced concrete.
„ Pumped concrete.
„ Ready mix concrete.
„ Areas where large volumes must be placed at one time.
„ High mechanical strengths are required.

Advantages Plastiment –VZ provides the following properties:

„ Increased setting time in hot weather. Accelerated hardening after setting.
„ Improved workability without increase water content.
„ Reduced water without loss of workability.
„ Increased strengths.
„ Reduced shrinkage and creep.
„ Long lasting control of slump loss.
„ Better surface finish.
„ Chloride free – does not attack reinforcement.

Dosage 0.15% - 0.40% by weight of cement.

The dosage rate can be increased to 0.40% to overcome difficulties in quality of
cement and aggregates, high temperature and difficult placing conditions.
It is advisable to carry out trial mixes to establish the exact dosage rate required.
Plastiment VZ is compatible with all types of Portland cement including S.R.C.

Dispensing Plastiment -VZ should be dispensed directly into the mixing water prior to its
addition to the aggregates.
When accidental overdosing occurs, Plastiment -VZ does not entrain excessive
amounts of air, however the set retarding effect increases. During this period the
concrete must be kept moist in order to prevent premature drying out.

 Handling Precautions „ Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
„ Wear protective gloves and eye protection during work.
„ If skin contact occurs, was skin thoroughly.
„ If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with warm water and seek medical attention
without delay.
