Foreword
This Japanese Industrial Standard has been revised by the Minister of
Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese In-
dustrial Standards Committee in accordance with the Industrial Standard-
ization Law.
This Amendment partially replaces the previous edition (JIS R 5211:2009),
which has been technically revised.

JIS R 5211 : 2009 is revised as follows.
Clause 9
Replace by the following:
9 Package marking
Portland blast-furnace slag cement, when packaged, shall bear the following partic-
ulars on the outer surface of the sack.
The date of shipment may be marked in a suitable manner according to the agree-
ment between the parties concerned with delivery.
a) Designation
b) Class
c) Net mass
d) Producer’s 2) name or its identifying brand.
Note 2) Any entity engaged in production of cement or in entrusting production of
cement to other entity, and therefore bearing the responsibility to guaran-
tee the quality of cement to purchasers.
Annex A
Add the following under the last row of the table:
