Thank you for purchasing my pattern! I hope you will enjoy making it as much
as I did. I have invested a lot of time in creating this pattern, taking photos, writing
the instructions and making this PDF guide as clear as possible.
My patterns are for personal use and you can also sell your finished product as an
independent crafter. But please do not forget to credit me as the designer. Please
don’t share, reproduce, and sell this pattern. Feel free to make as many as you
would like for yourself or give as a gift. If you have any questions, just drop me
a line. Thanks a lot for your likes.

Finished size: 14cm*15cm
Materials:
1. Worsted weight yarn.
2. 3.5mm crochet hook.
3. Tapestry needle
Abbreviations used in the pattern
(Please note that I use US terminology throughout.)

double crochet rep = repeat sk = skip sl st = slip stitch sp = space
sps = spaces st = stitch sts = stitches
Crocheting in continuous round
I use spiral crochet method instead of traditional joining method to make fox ears.
Crocheting in continuous round results in a spiral pattern instead of the discrete
rounds you would get using the more traditional method of joining. Spiral patterns
lack any obvious seams or ladder stitches. Spiral crochet method means you
won’t join the beginning and end of each round. Rather you will continue around,
making the first st of each round in the first st of the previous round.
I strongly recommend using a stitch marker when you work in a spiral as you
won’t have any other cues to remind you where the end of the round should fall.
How it works:
For example: When your working round is over, instead of sl st into the first st,
you will crochet directly into the first st (do not forget to put your st marker onto
the first st you just made) and continue until the end. When you reach the end
again (the st before the st marker), you do the same thing, do not sl st into the first
st, but crochet directly into the first st and then again put your st marker onto the
first st you just made. Then continue working on.
2
How to change colors:
You change the yarn during the st before the color change. The photo below
shows the last st, but instead of complete the st with creamy yarn, I am going to
take the new yarn, yarn over and complete the st with the new yarn. Cut off the
creamy yarn shown in the photo and make knot with new yarn to secure it. And
then line up the tails with the sts, crochet sc in each st around, in this way, the
tails will be wrapped up with the sts.

Pattern Instructions:
Part 1: Crochet bag
Row1: With Cream yarn, ch30, hdc in second ch from the hook, put green st
marker in the first ch, hdc in each ch across, (put second stitch marker around
the post of last hdc), ch1, turn. (29)
5
Round2: Hdc in first st (put third stitch marker here), hdc in each st across, hdc
into the first ch marked by first stitch marker in the beginning.
6
now we are going to keep working on the other side of the chs, hdc in each st
across until we will reach the side with 2 st markers.
Hdc around the post of the last hdc in the first row which is marked by second
st marker.
7
Next, we are going to work in continuous rounds, instead of join with a sl st into
the st marked by the third stich marker, we are going to crochet into that st straight
away.
Round3: Hdc into the st marked by the third stitch marker, hdc in each st around.
(60)
Round4: Hdc in each st around. (60)
Round5-10: Repeat round4. (60)
Round11: Repeat round4 until there are a few sts left.
As you can see, if you
mark the beginning of
your every round like
what I did in the photo.
It will look like this at
the end of round11.
8
Take off the stitch
marker. And we are
going to crochet a few
hdc until there are 2sts.
Sc in next st, sl st into
last st.
Break yarn and fasten
off. The 2 sides look
even now.
You can tell the difference of front and back side of the pouch by looking at the
bottom edges. The one on the left is front, right one is back side.
9
Round12: Attach dark orange yarn to any st at the back of the pouch, ch1 (not
count as 1st sc), sc in each st around, join with a sl st to first sc. (60)
10
Notes before we start crocheting round 13:
No matter where you attached new
yarn in round 12, use stitch marker
to mark 28 stitches at t he front . For
the back of the pouch, we will
crochet into both loops, for the front
of the pou ch, we will only crochet
into back loops. We will use front
loops to make fox nose in next step.
11
Round13: Ch2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc in each st around (at the back of the pouch
only), and hdc in back loops only at the front of the pouch, join with a sl st to first
hdc, break yarn, fasten off. (60)
This is how it looks like at front after round 13. As you can see the front loops are
left out. They will be used for making fox nose.
This is how it looks at the back of the pouch after round 13. As you can see it
looks like normal stiches because we worked into both loops.
12
Round14: Ch2 (counts as 1st hdc), hdc in each st around, join with a sl st to first
hdc. (60)
Round15-16: Repeat round 14, break yarn, finish it with invisible join. (60)
13
14
Part2: Fox ears [3.5mm crochet hook]
Round1: With black yarn, 6sc in magic ring. (6)
Round 2: Sc in each st around. (6)
Round3: [inc] around. (12) Then change color from black to dark orange.
Round4: Sc in each st around. (12)
Round5: [inc, sc2] around. (16)
Round 6-10: Repeat round 5, making the last st as sl st. (16)
Round11: [Dec, sc2] around (12)
Round12: [Dec, sc4] around, break yarn , fasten off, leaving a long tail.(10)
Part3: Fox nose black part.
Make a magic ring, 12dc in the ring, break yarn, and fasten off.
15
Part4: Fox eyes
I used washable pencil which normally used to draw on the fabric. Here I also use
it to draw on my pouch before I start sewing. It makes sewing part more accurate
and fast too. When it is finished, I just bring it under water and wash it a bit, all
the marks will be gone in a second.
16
17
Part5: Fox nose in front loops only.
Remember we used stitch marker to
mark 28 stitches at the front. Now
we are going to work into those front
loops. This step is very important.
Take your time and make sure the
outline of the fox nose is as smooth
as possible.
Position your pouch as it shown in the photo above. And we are going to work
into front loops only from right side. There are 28 stitches for the front loop.
To have a neater looking, we are going to break yarn for each row.
18
Row1: With dark orange yarn, sl t into the first st, sc in next 3sts, hdc in next 3sts,
7dc in next 14sts, hdc in next 3sts, sc in next 3sts, sl st into last st, break yarn,
fasten off. (28)
19
Row2: Attach new yarn to the 5th st from row1 on the right side. Make a sl st into
5th st, sc in next 2sts, hdc in next 2sts, 10dc in next 10 sts, hdc in next 2sts, sc in
next 2sts, sl st into next st, break yarn and fasten off. Ignore the rest of sts. (20)
20
Row3: Attach new yarn to the 4th st from row2 on the right side. Make a sl st into
4th st, sl st into next st, sc in next 2sts, hdc in next 2sts, dc in next 2sts, hdc in next
2sts, sc in next 2sts, sl st into next 2sts, break yarn and fasten off, Ignore the rest
of sts. (14)
21
Row4: Attach new yarn to the 4th st from row3 on the right side. Make a sl st into
4th st, sc in next 2sts, hdc in next 2sts, sc in next 2sts, sl st into next st, break yarn,
fasten off, Ignore the rest of sts. (8)
22
Row5: Attach new yarn to second st from row4 on the right side, ch1 (not count
as 1st sc), sc in the same st, sc in next 3sts, ch1, turn. (6)
23
Row6: Skip first st, sc in next 4sts. (4)
Row7: Sc in each st across, ch1, turn. (4)
Row8-12: Repeat row 6. (4)
Last round: Attach new yarn into the st where the first sl st was made in row 1,
ch1 (not count as 1st sc), sc in the same st, sc in each st around the outline of fox
nose. By doing this you can hide all those tails from each rows. In the end, you
can simply cut them off. But if you are very concerned about this tails, you can
also hide those tails before you start crocheting last round.
Then you can secure the nose onto the white face and sew the black part on top
too. I recommend you to only secure the top part of the fox nose onto the white
face. You do not need to sew the whole part onto the white face.
24
25
Finally, I want to say that yarn is very flexible and stretchable. After your project
is done, if there are any details that you are not happy with, you can also try to
stretch them a bit.
26
27
28
Part6: Sewing ears
Remember we are only going to sew the ears at the back of the pouch as shown
in the photo above. By doing this, the front of pouch will still look flat.
This is how it looks like in the end.
29
Part7: Crochet body cross strip.
