C) Pre-requisite Course Code and Title : Applied Physics, DC Machines and Transformers
D) Rationale :
Electrical and Electrical & Electronics engineering diploma holders are expected to apply the
principle of electromechanical energy conversion in operating, testing and troubleshooting different
types of AC machines including special machines. This course will enable them to develop a set of
knowledge, skills and attitude for maintaining various types of AC machines and special electrical
machines taking appropriate safety measures. This course fundamentally aims at familiarizing the
students with the fundamentals of various AC machines and special electrical machines and their
applications.

Note: i. TA in Theory includes Sessional work (SW) and Attndance (ATT), with weightage of 70% and 30 % weightage
