Why goal is so important?

"a house divided against itself cannot stand" - Matthew 12:25

"A home that is united to glorify God is a perfect defense from the destroying hand of the enemy"

We need understand that Satan seeks to destroy families for several reasons.

How should I glorify God

Glorifying God is about living in a way that honors, magnifies, and reflects His greatness. The Bible tell us
certain principles and actions to guide how we can glorify God:

1. Worship God

Worship is central to glorifying God. This includes both personal devotion and corporate worship with
others. The Bible encourages us to worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:24) and to worship with
reverence and awe (Hebrews 12:28).

Praise and thanksgiving: Offer God your gratitude for who He is and what He has done (Psalm 100:4).

Sing and rejoice: The Psalms frequently call us to sing to God as an expression of joy and reverence
(Psalm 96:1–9).

2. Live According to His Word

Obedience to God’s commands is a direct way to glorify Him. Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my
commandments" (John 14:15). Our actions should reflect the values and principles laid out in Scripture.

Holiness and righteousness: Live a life of purity and moral integrity (1 Peter 1:15–16).

Obedience: Obey God's commands in your everyday life (John 14:21).

3. Reflect God’s Character

Glorifying God means reflecting His attributes—love, kindness, justice, mercy, and grace—through our
actions.

Love others: Jesus said that loving others as He has loved us is a way to glorify God (John 13:34–35).

Serve others: Use your gifts to serve others in a way that points them to God's goodness (Matthew 5:16,
1 Peter 4:10–11).

4. Trust in God

Trusting God in all circumstances, whether in times of abundance or hardship, glorifies Him because it
acknowledges His sovereignty and faithfulness.

Faith: Trust God, even in difficult times, and give Him glory for His faithfulness (Romans 4:20–21).
Contentment: In every situation, be content and thankful, knowing that God's grace is sufficient
(Philippians 4:11–13).

5. Proclaim the Gospel

Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ is one of the most significant ways to glorify God. When we speak
of God's salvation and His work in our lives, we bring attention to His greatness.

Evangelism: Share the gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20).

Testimony: Speak of God’s work in your life, declaring His glory and goodness (Psalm 66:16).

6. Enjoy His Creation

God is glorified when we enjoy the good things He has made, whether in nature, relationships, or the
work we do. Acknowledging His creative power and being good stewards of the earth is an act of
glorifying Him.

Stewardship: Take care of creation and use it wisely (Genesis 2:15, 1 Peter 4:10).

Enjoyment: Appreciate the beauty and provision in life as a gift from God (1 Timothy 6:17).

7. Pray with a Heart of Gratitude

Prayer is an intimate way to communicate with God. Praying according to God’s will, and with gratitude,
glorifies Him as we acknowledge His sufficiency and seek His glory in all things.

Praise and worship in prayer: Begin and end your prayers with adoration (Psalm 95:6).

Thanksgiving: Express gratitude in prayer for God’s work in your life (Philippians 4:6).

8. Bear Fruit in Christ

Jesus said, "By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit" (John 15:8). This means living a life
that shows the transformation Christ has made in you, producing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians
5:22–23) and good works.

Good works: Let your good deeds reflect God’s work in you and lead others to glorify Him (Matthew
5:16).

In summary, glorifying God involves both heart posture and practical action. It means living in
relationship with Him, worshiping Him, obeying His Word, sharing the gospel, and reflecting His
character in all we do. Through all these things, we honor and magnify God’s greatness.
What is at stake if I ignore this?
