I’m Thanh Xuan, I’m 19 years old and I grew up in BD.

My major is Logistic
and Supply Chain Management. I’m a second year at TDM university. I’m an
easy going person. I always enjoy being around different types of people and I
like to always challenge myself to improve at everything I do. I enjoy shopping
and in my spare time I really like reading comics and going out with my best
friend. We usually go out for dinner on the weekend, we love chatting and
meeting new people. English is very difficult for me, but I always do my
homework. I would like to improve my English because English is an advantage
to communicate with people. My family consists of 3 members. There are my
parents and me and I don’t have any brothers or sisters. I often go to bed very
late and I am sometimes late for school.

My current strength is time management. I always manage my time well with a

clear division of tasks. Before, I was a pretty bad person at time management,
so everything was very messy. Usually I get to the finish line and then I do it.
So I’m often late for deadlines and get complain. I don't like to be complained,
That's why I corrected my mistake. I learned to manage time to arrange
everything to be perfect. Reduce my play time and increase learning time. After
completing the exercises, then having fun will help you feel more relaxed.
Therefore, all the exercises are completed before the deadline. If you manage
your time well, you will get the results you want.

I think my weakness is my lack of patience. When I work, I want everything to

be quick and complete, I don’t like waiting. Therefore, when working in groups,
some people are late in submitting assignments make me feel very frustrated. I
will urge them to submit their portion to quickly complete the presentation.
This personality will make many people dislike me because they don’t like to be
complained. But I realized that I needed to help and support them to complete
their assignments instead of complaining. I know impatience is a bad trait, I’ll
try to fix it next time.
My long-term goal is to apply for a job at a logistics company in BD. Currently
I am studying at TDM university, I am also trying to improve myself. In Order
to achieve my long-term goals, I will not stop myself from working hard,
learning everything I can, and contributing to a company where I'll become a
valuable asset in the future. I believe long-term goals prove how much effort
you put into studying and working. The result of long-term goals is often a
success when you achieve a good job position or a fulfilling life. Therefore, I
am making more and more efforts in training myself by improving foreign
languages and skills.

1. Where is your hometown ?

My hometown is in Binh Duong, It is located in the Southeast of the country;
and Bình Dương is the Southern, Key Economic Zone, which bordering Bình
Phước province to the north, Ho Chi Minh City to the south and southwest, Tây
Ninh province to the west, and Đồng Nai province to the east. My hometown is
crossed by Saigon, Đồng Nai, and Bé rivers.
2. Is there much to do in your hometown ?
Of course yes, Binh Duong is a place where there are also interesting places to
play. If you want to have fun, let’s visit these exciting places such as(you can
visit places such as): Đại Nam which is a huge tourism complex, Dầu Tiếng
lake, Cậu mountain or Thanh Lễ water park. In the evening, you can go to a big
roundabout which has 6 ways in order to drink Soy Milk at the biggest
pavement next to it, or you can go to Binh Duong market because there are a lot
of things selling here at night. And if you want to know about culture, you can
go to Thien Hau temple.

3. What are the people like in your hometown ?

Most of the people here are very friendly and hospitable. Because they are
immigrants, they are busy with work, so they rarely talk to each other. But if
you live here, you will find that these people are not as difficult to talk to as you
think. They are always willing to help you when you get in trouble.

My major is Economics. I’m studying Logistics and Supply Chain Management
at TDM university. Currently, I am about to be a sophomore at this school (=I
am going to start my second year at this school). I think my major is very
interesting but I have not studied in detail yet. However, I was able to visit a
few companies to understand more about how they use Logistics and Supply
Chain Management in their work.

Honestly, I really don’t like to study. But for me, I think project work is also a
good subject. Because it helps me make a lot of friends and study better, so
working in a group has more ideas than doing it alone.

When I graduate from my school, I want to find a job with a stable salary.
I want to get a good job to learn more things and gain experience. When I
have a good job, a good salary, I can do everything I like such as
traveling or helping my family. I just want to get the most out of the
opportunities I’ve been given. To become the best version of myself.

1. What do you like to do in your free time ?

In my free time, I often go to the cafe with friends to talk. We often go out to
drink milk tea and discuss studying because we go to the same university, it’s
normal to see each other. Not only do we go for a drink, but sometimes we go
swimming or go shopping to relieve stress. On the weekend, I usually go to a
party that my friends have invited me to, sometimes I will refuse it. Instead, I
will go to a coffee shop on my own and enjoy myself.

2. Have your leisure activities changed since you were a child ?

Honestly, ever since I was a kid, I wasn’t focused on playing sports or anything,
so leisure activities have not changed when I grew up. But when I was a kid, I
liked to dance. I used to go dancing too, but it affected my studies, and my
family didn’t let me continue.

I like to spend my free time with my relatives. We like to have small parties or
go out together. I don’t think being alone is a very good idea. Sometimes,
people need some lonely time, I don’t deny that. But I think spending time with
everyone is better than being alone.

I like to travel by train. But I’ve never been able to. If it’s possible I would like
to try traveling by train because I can save money, fares are stable and less
hassle than going by plane. When you take the train, you can relax and watch
everything around you, you can freely read books, watch movies or sleep
comfortably. On the bus it's more difficult to do those things because there is
less space and the movement can make you travel sick too. Also, you don’t need
to worry about traffic accidents or traffic jams like taking other vehicles.

People here often travel long distances by train, sometimes they take the train
from north to south. Taking the train will save their money and be more
convenient to get around. For society, using trains encourages people to have a
more active healthier lifestyle. As for the environment, using public transport

3. When was the last time you traveled by train ?
I have never traveled by train, but from what my friend told me, I want to try it

First, it will help you get more tasks done in a certain amount of time.
Second, it forces you to do the things that you need to do.
Next, you can balance work life if you manage your time well.

I sometimes read books. I don’t have much time for that hobby. There are many
kinds of books you can read such as adventure, mystery, detective, horror or
fantasy books... But I never read any love stories. I want to read romantic novels
one day. If you like detectives, you should try reading Sherlock Holmes. The
book is about the Sherlock Holmes character. He's a good detective.

child?
Certainly not when I was a kid I read very few books, but I read stories like
Doreamon, Lion Kings or Fairy tales. but when I was a child I used to watch
lots of Fairytale movies on TV. However, now I'm reading more interesting
stories about mysteries.

Usually I will read in the evenings when I have free and relaxing time, I can
read books in my bedroom. Reading at night helps me focus more and the
quietness might help me understand the content of the story deeply.

I don’t know of any galleries in BD, but there is a small museum here. The BD
museum displays the entire natural and social history of BD people. In this
place, there are very rich artifacts of historical, culture and scientific value.
Large objects can be displayed outdoors such as helicopters, tanks… and many
other valuable things.
[Link] you like to go to art galleries when you were a child?
I’ve never been interested in Art, so I’ve never been to a museum or gallery.
There is one museum which I know of, named BD Museum. I was able to visit
it once when High school held a tour. In fact when I was a kid, I did not go to a
museum myself. I had one rare chance when I was in middle school. I think so.

Personally, I think there should be commensurate fees for people when they
enter a museum or gallery because that money can be used to cover the
operating costs of these places and reduced government subsidies.

Yes, I can swim, but I’m not really good at swimming. I learnt swimming when
I was 7 years old. Swimming lessons were not compulsory at my school, so I
didn’t go swimming very often, that’s the reason why I’m still bad at it.

There are a few water parks where I live. One of the most popular water parks is
a public swimming pool named Thanh Lễ. But this park has not got many
customers because of the lack of water slide games. (= There are not many

Of course yes, I think everyone needs to learn how to swim because it is really
necessary and important. First, it will help us to grow in height. Second,
swimming helps us save ourselves or other people in case of drowning. Finally,
swimming is good for our mood and spirit. When we swim, we can relax our
mind and body.

1. Can you tell me about any hobbies that you have?

My hobby is listening to music. I listen to many different kinds of music
every morning before I leave home for work and when I return home every
night. I spend time on music websites to search for the latest artists and
albums in my favorite genres.
2. Are there any other hobbies that you would like to have in the future?
Of course yes, the hobby that I want to have in the future is to know how to
cook. To be honest, I find cooking to be a very difficult thing for me. But
that’s okay, because other my family member are very good at cooking.
3. Do you think hobbies should be relaxing or should they be exciting?
I think hobbies are activities that I enjoy and do easily. Spending time on
your hobby reduces stress and helps you relax more after a long stressful
day. Hobbies are essential for a better life
English Studies
4) When and why did you start to learn English?
I started learning English in elementary school from 1st grade. It is a
compulsory subject in school. I hated it during my school days because I
didn't get it. Later, when I started to understand it.. and understand some
grammar and so on, I liked it. English is one of the most widely spoken
languages.
5) What aspects of learning English do you find the most difficult?
First, English Grammar is complex, making it difficult to remember
Second, you need more than 3000 English vocabulary words to
communicate with other foreigners.
Third, pronunciation in English is a very difficult thing for vienamese
people.
Finally, variations in English. For example, the difference between using
formal and informal language or the differences between spoken and written
language.

Daily Routine
6) How do you spend a typical Sunday?
Sunday is my favorite day of the week. There are not many things to do on
Sunday because most of the chores such as laundry, cleaning, shopping are
done during the week. So Sunday is the day to relax because the work is
done.

7) What routine activity do you dislike the most?

The activity I don’t like during the week is washing the dishes every day.
Sometimes I don’t use the plates but I have to wash them. No one helps me
because I am the youngest in the family and I have to help and wash a bunch
of dishes.

8) Do you like having a set routine at work or would you prefer less
structure?
I love new tasks. It’s really boring if you do the same thing every day, and I
want to have many different set routines at work . This is how I keep my
work time exciting.

Spectator sports
1) Are there differences between the numbers of people who watch sports
and the numbers who play it?
Of course yes, most people watch sports. Everyone loves sports but they
don’t have the physical, the time or the conditions, therefore most people
watch sports instead of playing sports. However, playing sports is also
beneficial because it helps us relieve stress, helps maintain weight, is good
for the brain and helps bones grow strong.
2) Why do you think some people enjoy watching sports?
Watching sports is a great relaxing entertainment for everyone. You can
watch sports anywhere you want. Everyone spends time watching sports
because it helps to reduce stress, relieve fatigue, it makes them feel better or
they don’t spend much time going to the stadium to watch live. Since most
people like sports, watching sports is also a way to connect with each other.
3) What are the advantages and disadvantages of watching sport live or on
television?
In my opinion, I prefer to watch sports live than on television. There are 2
reasons: First, people feel real emotions when they watch sports at the
stadium directly. We can enjoy every moment there. Second, people can
make more friends who have the same hobby as theirs. However, there are
also few disadvantages for watching sports live. Not only do you have to buy
expensive tickets but also you must spend your working time watching them.
Next, people cannot immerse themselves in crowded places due to Covid19.
On the other hand, watching sports on television is quite suitable in Covid19
pandemic. People don’t have to wait in lines, buy any expensive tickets or sit
in hot and crowded places. People sit on comfortable sofas and enjoy a
football match in a cool living room. However, watching too much TV will
form a passive lifestyle that reduces interaction with society and the outside
environment.

4) What role does advertising have in sports events?
I think Advertising and sports go together. Advertising can help to attract
audiences towards less popular sports. Advertising around sporting events is
a great way to insert product brands into the community of fans attending.
Thanks to it, increasing product brand awareness and sales. Advertising also
gives financial support for the coaching staff, athletes, stadium’s, travel and
other expenses.

5) How important is money in sport?

Money is extremely important in the world today and Sports in particular.
People need money to raise the living standard, pay for the coaching staff,
athletes, advertising, stadium’s, travel and other expenses. In case of hard
injury, athletes need money to get good treatment from the doctors and
nurses in the hospital. Besides, people spend a lot of money to train young
talented children for future national sport.

1. Do you like desserts?

Sweets make people’s mood better. People think desserts are the best part of
the meal. But I don’t really like desserts because I don’t like eating too sweet
food.
2. Do you like eating cake?
I used to eat them when I was a kid. I still like them now but sometimes
there are foods that are too sweet for my taste, sweet food will gain weight
easily and cause diabetes. But anyway, I don't hate them.
3. How often do you eat cakes?
Mostly I eat cakes on special occasions like birthdays or new year.
Sometimes when I'm not in a good mood I will also eat cakes because eating
sweets makes us feel better, but you shouldn’t eat too much because they
may get you addicted and obesity.

Actually, I have never made a cake but I find it very interesting to see
other people make it. I also often watch other people make cakes on
YouTube. But if I do, it's hard for me.

I don't like sweets and have never liked them because it's bad for my
teeth. Because it contains a lot of sugar. Eating too sweet food makes me
feel nauseous; and sweets will make us fat and gain weight.

Of course yes, for example Bean cakes, Black Bean soup with cream
cheese cake. You should have a try one time in life. There are also milk
teas, sweets that are good for the mood but don't eat or drink them too

Actually, I am a person with no sense of humor. So being able to make
my friends laugh is a challenge for me. I have a rather annoying
personality so it's impossible to make other people laugh.

Like I said before, I don't have any talent in making people laugh but I
always try to make them comfortable when they are around me, when
they're with me, they won't feel uncomfortable or constrained.

The first situation that makes people laugh is when they watch a comedy or

I really like to make my family laugh. But sometimes, it might depend on my
mood. But I will try to make people feel happy and smile more when around

Of course I like watching them because this is one of my favorite ways to relax
after a tiring day. I usually make time to watch comedy shows on TV because
it's fun and can be watched with family.

I don't ride my bike very often, but on weekends I ride my bike to get some
exercise. Where I live, there is a lot of traffic so cycling during the week is not
safe.

Yes, I do believe that sports and games are vital for a balanced life. Games are

I would recommend Phu Quoc island to visitors because it is a popular summer

become one of Vietnam's fastest-growing localities, with tourism serving as the
island's mainstay.

One of the most significant benefits of travel is that it takes you to new worlds
to which you have never been exposed. Traveling allows you to meet people

Honestly, I've never visited a foreign country. But I've always wanted to visit

I was born on April 3 in 2003. So every year, I celebrate my birthday on the
