The best project I have done using React is Ticket Box, a movie ticket booking
application
that allows users to book tickets for recent movies playing in theaters. I
initially designed
the login and signup pages using local storage, but later incorporated Firebase for
user
authentication in other projects. On the home page, the application displays movie
posters and
names, with movie data fetched from The Movie Database (TMDb) using the Axios
package for
API requests. Clicking on a movie takes the user to a details page that displays
information
about the movie, theaters near the user that are showing the movie, and available
showtimes.
The Geoapify API is used to obtain the location and details of nearby theaters.
After
selecting a showtime, the user is directed to a page showing the movie name, time,
and
available seats in the theater. Users can select seats, and the total amount is
automatically
updated based on the selected seats. Clicking the checkout button takes the user
to a payment
page displaying the total amount and a scanner for ticket verification. This
project
effectively showcases my ability to integrate various APIs and technologies, such
as React,
Axios, and Firebase, to create a functional and user-friendly application.
