Conditionals

Type 0
To talk about things that are always true, like a
scientific fact.
Example:
If you freeze water, it turns into ice
If present simple + present simple
Type 1
It refers to a possible situation in the future
Example:

If you study, you will pass the exam


If Present simple + will
Type 2
It is used to talk about imaginary situations.
Example:

If I won the lottery, I would go to Europe.


If Simple past + would
Type 3
It is used for hypothetical meaning.
Example:
If He had worked harder, he would have been the manager of
the company.
if Past perfect + would have + past participle
MIXED CONDITIONAL
To talk about a past event that has an effect on the present

If I had won the lottery, I would be rich


If past perfect + would
If I were a man, they would have given me the job
If simple past + would have + past participle
