Evaluation:
Mid Semester Exam - 30%
End Semester Exam - 40%
Lectures (Class participation and Quizzes) - 15%
Tutorials: (Class participation and assignment) - 15%
You are required to bring the textbook in tutorial classes. Tutorial problems will be given from the text book.
Attendance Policy: Minimum 75% attendance in both lectures and tutorials is required. Less than this, final
grade will be reduced by one lower grade.
Minimum marks for pass grade: 30 marks
Minimum marks for audit: 40 marks (if any)
Minimum marks for E-grade: 25 marks
Make –up exams and quizzes will not be given under any circumstances. In case of illness, a medical certificate
from I.I.T. Hospital must be submitted and approved by the UG section. In such a case grading will be based on
the remaining exams, quizzes and class performance.
