 What is the tool you are using for testing purposes in your project?

Test Director and Mercury Quality Center are predominantly


used. While e-CATT (extended computer aided testing tool), QTP (quick test professional)
are also used mostly.

- Fixing the end date of the project
- There will be interview from client side to select the consultants
- Sign up of the project is done and sometime presentation of the project is done on every module.

Business blue print


MM Consultant and power users from client sit together and document all the current settings of the
client. How many plants, p org, what king of process they are doing, how many storage location and
what kind of storage etc. This is for AS-IS. In TO-BE we will plan how the business process must be
implemented in SAP system, how we can make client satisfied.

Usually business blue print phase last for 6 months and implementation finishes in 2 months

Gap analysis
It is the process of mapping client requirements to SAP architecture

Example:

In SAP billing happens after delivery, but client wants to bill before delivery. So this is gap for us

Points in business blue print

- Aligns business requirement to the SAP business model


- Documents the TO-BE process model
- Identifies additional functional & technical requirements (any additional
modules needed to integrate)
- Confirmation of implementation date
Milestone & key decisions
- Completed & signed off process design
- Completed & signed of solution design
- Completed & signed of gap identification & resolution

Realization Phase

Base line configuration


Final Configuration

- Business process is configured in SAP system


- Data migration if any is done (LSMW)
- System set up is done
- Training & cut over plan defined

Following people are required during realization phase

- Business one consultant


- Business one project manager
- Client project manager
- Client IT admin
- Client lead, Accounting, sales, operation, purchasing, logistics, HR
Business one consultant is responsible for implementation process, he
possess knowledge about the implementation tools, Customization tools, data
migration tools, support tools,
Business one consultant is responsible for scheduling system configuration

Final preparation phase

- Preparing system for production release


- Preparing the internal & external organization for go live
- Cut over activities are performed in this phase
- End user system ID's are created
- All critical open issues are solved in this phase
- Data migration activities are performed, master data & transaction data
are kept ready for loading

Go-live and support

- Support is provided to improve live activity
