Symptom
When you activate business functions in transaction SFW5 in the development system, system does not pop
up a screen to ask you to add the change into a transport request. So you have no idea how to transport the
activation into other systems.
Environment
Netweaver based ABAP systems
Reproducing the Issue
It is not recommended to activate business functions directly using SFW5 in the quality or production system.
You have activated some business functions in your development system, but you have no idea how to
transport the activation into your quality and production system.
Resolution
You can transport the business function using System Settings->Transport in SFW5:

When you click "Transport" option to transport business function, a screen will pop up to ask for a transport
request. In this screen, you will see that the value of "Status tables Switch Framework client-independent" is
A, which means that all activated business functions will be added to this transport request:
If you check the obejct list of the transport request, you will find only one entry "R3TR SF02 A" which
indicates all activated busniess fucntions in the system. It is impossible for you to specify individual business
functions to be added into the transport request:

You can release and import the request into the quality and product system. After importing the request into
the quality and production system, the same business functions will get activated by the import automatically.
It is not necessary for you to activate them manually using SFW5.
Please note that users should be locked and jobs should be disabled during the import of the request into the
test or production systems, just like when activating the business functions in developement systems.
One thing to note is that, the Switch Framework transport means that the whole activation settings are
being transported. You cannot transport only a part of the activated business functions, which is also NOT
supported.
Another thing is that, the business function which was activated in the target system will be deactivated if it is
not activated in the source system. For example if you have 10 Business Functions which are activated in
System A, and the same 10 Business Functions + 1 additional Business Function which is already activated
in System B, using switch framework transport from system A to B, together with the same 10 Business
Functions to be activated, the additional Business Function in System B will be deactivated during the
import.
