EXAMPLE OF REFLECTION: TRIP TO DUBAI

Going to Dubai, I was super excited and kind of forgot how hot it would be. I thought I was ready for a fun
trip in the desert city, not knowing what was really waiting for me.

I felt a mix of happiness and a surprise at how hot it actually was. I started looking for any shade I could

find, amazed that the people living there didn't seem bothered by the heat that felt like it was out to get
me.

Looking back, I see I wasn't as prepared as I thought. My idea of "hot" was nothing compared to Dubai's
weather.

I wondered why I didn't bring something to keep me cooler.

I learned I should have paid more attention to the weather and respected the power of the sun before
going.

If I ever go back to Dubai, I plan to bring lots of sunscreen, hats, and maybe something to keep me cool. This
trip showed me you can find adventure, but you might also get a sunburn, and Dubai is tough if you're not
ready for the sun.
