HYGIENE
Hygiene is an effort made to protect, maintain, and improve
health by maintaining and protecting the cleanliness of the
subject.
6 Hygiene Standart :
•Food Raw Material Selection
•Food Ingredient Storage
•Food Processing
•Food Transportation
•Food Storage
•Food Serving
Kepmenkes No. 942/Menkes/SK/VII/2003
Hygiena ATP detection system has been recognized, optimized and certified for food
industry application (cleaning verification & microorganism indicator) by
Associaton of Official Analytical Collaboration AOAC.
EnSure Touch
EnSURE™ Touch is the next generation ATP and environmental monitoring system. Designed to work like your
smartphone, it effortlessly provides you with rapid and accurate data to support your food safety program. After
taking a sample, the system measures the amount of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP – found in all living or once living
things) and gives you an objective numerical value combined with a Pass/Caution/Fail notification
FEATURES & BENEFIT
Easy to use
Web-based platform
Bring together different types of food safety data in one place
Invite colleagues and assign roles to improve collaboration, accountability and provide greater
visibility into the food safety program
provides a comprehensive overview of testing
Ready-to-use reports save time
New capabilities are added regularly through software updates
Unlimited data and storage
Easily manage one or hundreds of instruments from a single account
Able to track for those that may need replacing
UltraSnap
•All in one ATP sampling device
•detect all residues or microbes present
•Measures all viable bacteria in the sample
•UltraSnap offers sensitivity and reliability for many
industrial applications
•Easy to use
SuperSnap
most sensitive ATP surface test.
Its ability to detect extremely low levels of ATP allows
it to be used as an allergen cross contamination
prevention tool.
real-time results
Most sensitive ATP test validated by a third-party
study (4 times as sensitive as UltraSnap™)
AquaSnap Total & AquaSnap Free
•measures ATP found in liquid samples (Water, etc.)
•Utilizing a honeycomb dipper to consistently collect
100 μl of liquid sample.
•monitoring microbial and non-microbial (Free) activity
in water samples.
WORKFLOW
Sample Preparation:
Surfaces
Solid/liquid samples Measurement
Large liquid volumes
SURFACE
Swab 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) area of flat, dry
surface.
Do not touch swab or inside of sample device
with fingers. Swab tip is pre-moistened for
maximum sample collection.
Apply sufficient pressure
Swab in crisscross pattern vertically and
horizontally.
Remember to rotate the swab.
Swab approx. equivalent surface area on
uneven surfaces (e.g. handles)
Re-insert the snap-valve bulb into the swab tube
Activate the device breaking the snap valve
Shake/flick to bring all liquid to the bottom of the tube
Measuring
Record results as RLU
MicroSnap Total
•General bacteria test
•Non-specific
•Detects broad range of species
•Measures all viable bacteria in the sample
•Any bacteria that grow under the conditions in the
enrichment device
•AOAC approved on 5 matrices: ground beef, raw
chicken, lettuce, cream cake, raw milk
MicroSnap EB
•EB = Enterobacteriaceae
•Large family of bacteria
•Harmless symbionts and lethal pathogens
•Includes Coliforms & [Link]
•Selective agent in enrichment broth excludes non-
EB
•Only Enterobacteria grow under the selective
conditions in the enrichment device
•AOAC validation Coming Soon!
MicroSnap Coliform / E. coli
•Specific for smaller coliform group
•Found in environment and animal & human faeces
•Indicator organism for faecal pathogens (including bacteria, viruses,
protozoa etc.)
•Escherichia coli = faecal coliform
•Part of normal gut flora
•Some are dangerous pathogens
•Neither MicroSnap E. coli or standard methods detect E. coli O157:H7
•AOAC approved on 10 matrices: Ground beef, RTE ham, cooked chicken,
raw chicken, raw milk, raw cod, raw prawns, lettuce, RTE sandwich,
bottled water

LIQUIDS SOLIDS
Prepare appropriate dilution. ( 1 : 10 )
Add 1 mL of sample to enrichment device
Mix well (Homogenize)
Add 1 mL of sample to enrichment device
LARGE VOLUME LIQUID SAMPLES
Filter a volume of liquid, e.g. 1L, 10L etc. through a sterile filter
Remove the filter and place in small petri dish
Add 2 ml enrichment medium sufficient to cover the filter
Incubate according to requirements for the test of interest e.g. 7 hours @ 30°C for MS Total
Remove 0.1 ml and add to the MicroSnap detection device
MicroSnap Test Primary Incubation Secondary Incubation
Total 7 hours @ 30°C N/A
EB 7 hours @ 30°C N/A
Coliform 6 hours @ 37°C 10 minutes @ 37°C
E. coli 6 hours @ 37°C 10 minutes @ 37°C
Re-insert the snap-valve bulb into the swab tube
Activate the device breaking the snap valve
Shake/flick to bring all liquid to the bottom of the tube
For MicroSnap Total & EB detection devices read immediately
after activation
For MicroSnap Coliform & E. coli perform a 10-minute
incubation @ 37°C after device activation
Measuring
Insert the Detection Device into a luminometer and initiate the
measurement
Record results as CFUs
