I. Write the relation described in the following then determine the domain and range.
a. The first coordinate is the length of the side of a square, where the length is a positive integer not
exceeding 5, the second coordinate is the perimeter of the square.

b. Given set 𝐴 = {1,2,3,4} be the first coordinate of the relation; the second coordinate is three more
than twice the first.

c. Let 𝐴 = {2,4,6} be the first coordinate of the relation; the second coordinate is 2 less than the first
coordinate.

II. Given 𝑓(𝑥 ) = 2𝑥 + 1 and 𝑔(𝑥 ) = 4𝑥, find

a. 𝑔[𝑓(−3)]
b. 𝑓[𝑔(−3)]
c. 𝑓 [𝑔(0)]

III. Let 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = 𝑥 2 + 4 and 𝑔(𝑥 ) = 𝑥 + 3, find the value of the following:

a. (𝑓 + 𝑔)(𝑥 )
b. (𝑓 − 𝑔)(𝑥 )
c. (𝑓. 𝑔)(𝑥 )
𝑓
d. ( ) (𝑥 )
