JavaScript, NodeJS, and React in medical simulation applications i-Human Patients, a part of
Kaplan Inc.
We are seeking to hire a Full Stack Engineer to join a small team of developers creating
simulation-based products for medical and nursing education and test prep. We will consider
qualified candidates at all levels of experience. You will take on projects to extend the current
products and to contribute to entirely new products, all designed to educate and train medical
professionals. Each developer on the team has a high degree of design autonomy and we work
closely together to assure that we're creating the right solution for our customers. Your primary
responsibilities will include
● Development of new features on the back-end and front-end of our medical simulation
system.
● Working closely with the other developers to design enhancements and features as
requested by our product management process.
● Contributing to design and code reviews
● Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in the office
● 30-day notification period preferred

● NodeJS and React with Redux
● AWS, Linux servers, MySQL RDS
● Java (in legacy systems, not under active development)
● Ruby on Rails
● IDEs: developer's choice, currently using WebStorm, RubyMine, IntelliJ
About You
● You know JavaScript and React and have experience with Java and may have experience
with Ruby on Rails.
● You're comfortable with Node.js development in general.
● You have or can develop a good working knowledge of AWS and MySQL
● You work well with a small team of engineers and communicate well verbally and in writing.
● You might know Ruby and Rails.
● You might not know Java very well, but it doesn't scare you.
● You can learn to design, implement, test, and maintain i-Human's platform and services.
● You love trying out new systems, languages, frameworks, and libraries, and leveraging them
off, whenever necessary.
● You are highly energized with a passion for software craftsmanship.
