MR. EMILIO MAKILING JR. MARCH 30, 2021

ASSIGNMENT
(Teamwork)

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose between the following.

Option 1: The facilitator will ask the students to make a short video explaining the aim of the Teamwork.
Option 2: The facilitator will ask the students to draw tips for better teamwork.

1. People are both the source of joy and the source of problems
Humans are in the mix, regardless of the team or the reason for its existence, and each
team member takes all of their baggage with them, for good or for ill. As a result, a
diverse group of people come together with a variety of life experiences, unusual work
experiences, and varying degrees of success working with previous teams and
completing previous team tasks. They must work together to bring this variety together
while also focusing on a new objective.
2. You have the ability to assist your teams in succeeding
You can greatly improve the likelihood that the teams you join or lead will make the
necessary contributions. Teams may achieve success beyond your wildest dreams with
the right support and nurturing. Don't let anything get in the way of your team's
success. If you want your teams to achieve their maximum potential, you must
recognize and meet their basic requirements. If these fundamentals aren't in place, no
team will succeed.
3. The team has a clear understanding of its mission and objectives.
The crew is aware of the objectives and is dedicated to achieving them. Effective
teamwork requires clear direction and consensus on mission and purpose. Team
members must agree on an overall mission that serves as the foundation for everything
the team attempts to accomplish. When the organization has clear expectations for the
team's work, goals, accountability, and outcomes, this team clarity is reinforced.
4. Reasonable risks are encouraged in a team environment
The team fosters an environment in which employees feel free to communicate,
advocate for positions, and take action while taking reasonable risks. The members of
the team have faith in one another. Team members are not punished if they disagree; in
, debate is encouraged and valued.
5. Communication that is respectful is the norm.
Open, honest, and courteous communication is the norm. People are free to share their
ideas, opinions, and possible solutions to problems. People have the impression that
they are being heard and listened to by team members who are trying to understand
them. While their co-worker is speaking, team members ask clarifying questions and
spend their brain time listening deeply rather than formulating rebuttals. They
accomplish this by developing inquiries that will allow them to have a better
understanding of their teammates' perspectives.
6. A strong sense of commitment to the group
Members of the team have a strong sense of belonging. They feel a strong sense of
responsibility for the group's decisions and activities. When the team takes the effort to
define team rules or relationship guidelines together, this sense of belonging is
deepened and perpetuated.
7. Innovation and Creativity Are the Norms in Place
Different perspectives, creativity, and invention are expected and encouraged. "We
already tried it and it didn't work" and "What a stupid concept" are not permitted or
encouraged. The members of the team understand that the power of having a team is
that each person brings a unique perspective to the endeavor to solve a problem,
improve a process, achieve a goal, or create something new and exciting.
8. Maintains a culture of continuous improvement
The team is able to review itself on a regular basis and improve its processes, practices,
and team member interactions. The team freely discusses team standards and what
may be impeding their capacity to improve in areas such as effort, talent, and strategy.
Review meetings are held by the team to evaluate the team's process and progress in
reaching and completing the team mission. The members of the team have a firm
awareness of the five stages of team growth and what is required to advance the team
through them successfully.
9. Problems and Conflicts in Teamwork are Solved
The team has methods in place for diagnosing, assessing, and resolving teamwork issues
and conflicts that have been agreed upon. The team does not tolerate personality
conflicts or fights among its members, and team members do not take sides in
disagreements. Rather, members work together to solve problems and resolve
disagreements.
