NOTES:
e When ordering resistors, first convert resistance values into code form as shown in
the following examples.
Ex. 1 When there are 2 effective digits (any digit apart from 0), such as 560 ohm
and 47k ohm (tolerance is shown by J=5%, and K=10%).

e The 4, mark found on some component parts indicates the importance of the
safety factor of the part. Therefore, when replacing, be sure to use parts of
identical designation.
e For your Parts Stock Control, the fast moving items are indicated with the
marks ** and * .
*x%* GENERALLY MOVES FASTER THAN *
This classification shall be adjusted by each distributor because it depends on
model number, temperature, humidity, etc.
e Parts marked by“ © ” are not always kept in stock. Their delivery time may be longer
than usual or they may be unavailable.

same as the synchronizing level of the video signal (See
Fig. @) ). At this point, one signal is input to the switching ou -58MHz

IC (C103) through the delay line and the other signal

becomes black and white signal after eliminating the color
signal component with a 3.58MHz trap filter (See Fig. ®).
Furthermore, low frequency component is eliminated with
the high-pass filter (fc=850kHz) (Sée Fig. ©).
The waveform of the signal input to the base of Q110 3.58MHz
is taken out from the emitter side as it remains as the origi-
nal form (See Fig. ©), and at the collector side, it is taken
out as the inversed phase waveform (See Fig. (D) ). Then,
the respective signals are mixed with the enhancer volume
(VR101) after passing through the buffer amplifiers Q111
and Q112. At this point, depends on the difference posi- 850kHz
tion of the enhancer volume, they become respectively
waveforms of )-@ to ®-@.
When the enhancer volume is set to the sharp position, the
rising edge of the waveform becomes steep as shown in
Fig. &) - @ and the contour of the TV screen picture Sharp side

becomes precise and sharp. When the enhancer volume is

set to the soft position, the rising edge of the waveform
becomes smooth as shown in Fig. (X) -@ and the contour
of the TV screen picture becomes soft.
The original signal passed through the buffer amplifier
and the signal to which enhancer has been applied are
mixed with each other in the MIXER circuit and output @|@
to the respective output terminals (See Fig. &) ).

e Signal waveform MB@ SPLIT SCREEN CIRCUIT
A partial of the video signal which has been passed through

ball the CLAMP circuit (See Fig. (A) ) is input to the synchro-
nizing separation circuit. In the synchronizing separation
Color circuit, at first, color signal component is eliminated by
—_—- Emitter potential of Q107 passing through the low-pass filter (fc=600kHz) (See
Fig. (© ), and then, only the synchronizing pulse of the
re ar video signal is fetched with the synchronizing separation
u I circuit (Q117 to Q119) (See Fig. ®).
This pulse is input to the inverter (IC105-1/6) and its
Black and white output is differentiated. The differentiated waveform
becomes origin of the reset signal of IC107 and trigger
signal (See Figs. G) and @) ).
Moreover, from the waveforms shown in Figs. @ , @ and
those of shown in Figs. D), ® are generated by D102 and
D103. After that, the signal of which waveform regulated
by two inverters of IC105-5/6 and 6/6 is input to termnal 4
of IC107. This signal becomes the reset signal of IC107
(See Fig. ®) ). Furthermore, the signal of which waveform is
regulated by one inverter of 1C105-2/6 is input to ter-
minal 2 of IC107 and it becomes the trigger signal(See Fig.
( ) of IC107.
On terminals 6 and 7 of IC107, the waveform length
(time length) is varied with the volume VR101 (split screen
volume) and with the time constants of the current mirror
transistor of Q101 and capacitor of C139 which is equiva-
Sharp side
lent to Q101. By this waveform variation, the vertical
(MAX)
line position of the split screen on the picture screen is
shifted.
By the signal input to terminals 2, 4, 6, and 7, the wave-
Center Volume
form shown in Fig. ™) is output from terminal 3(See the
{Original signal) position
Block Diagram of IC107). The waveform shown in Fig.
(@) which is output from terminal 3 of C107 is inversed
Soft side
by the inverter of 1C105-4/6 (See Fig. ©) ) and one is
(MEN)
reinverted by the inverter of IC105-3/6 and then, input to
terminal 7 of IC102 (See Fig. () ). The other is input to
terminal 5 of IC102 after smoothening its waveform rising
edge with D101, R174, and C133 (See Fig. Q)). In order
to make the rising edge of the waveform smooth as shown
in Fig. Q) , the operation time of terminal 5 of IC102 is
Sharp side delayed. Thus making time difference (the time when both
waveforms of (P) and @) become OFF) and generating
the waveform of Fig. P , to appear the vertical line of split
screen on the TV screen (See Fig. S)).
By switching this control signal, between one synchro-
Tee nizing signal and another, the picture to which enhancer is
applied and that to which enhancer is not applied can
® ® tal io Center simultaneously be seen apparently at the left and right sides
of the vertical line of the split screen on the TV screen.

e The #4, mark found on some component parts indicates the importance of the
safety factor of the part. Therefore, when replacing, be sure to use parts of
identical designation.
e For your Parts Stock Control, the fast moving items are indicated with the
marks ** and * .
*x* GENERALLY MOVES FASTER THAN *
This classification shall be adjusted by each distributor because it depends on
model number, temperature, humidity, etc.
e Parts marked by “© ” are not always kept in stock. Their delivery time may be longer
than usual or they may be unavailable.
