Science Camp Song & Yell Competition: Mechanics &

Guidelines
I. Objective:
To foster team spirit, creativity, and scientific enthusiasm through original songs and
yells.

II. Participation:

 All science camp participants are encouraged to join.


 Participants can form teams of 15-20 members (both male and female)
 Teams can be formed based on their given group.

III. Song Competition:

 Theme: The song must be related to science and technology.


 Content: The song should be original and creative, showcasing the team's
understanding of Science concepts.
 Duration: Maximum 3 minutes.
 Performance: Teams are encouraged to use props, costumes, and choreography
to enhance their performance.
 Judging Criteria:
o Creativity and Originality: 30%
o SCIENCE Content: 30%

o Musicality and Performance: 20%


o Overall Impact: 20%

IV. Yell Competition:

 Theme: The yell should be short, catchy, and related to science.


 Content: The yell should be original and loud, showcasing the team's enthusiasm.
 Duration: Maximum 2 minutes.
 Performance: Teams can use hand gestures, chants, and synchronized
movements to make their yell memorable.
 Judging Criteria:
o Creativity and Originality: 30%
o Science Relevance: 30%

o Loudness and Enthusiasm: 20%


o Overall Impact: 20%

V. Scoring:

 Each team will be judged by a panel of judges.


 Scores will be based on the criteria outlined above.
 The team with the highest combined score for both song and yell will be declared
the winner.

VI. Tabulation Form:

 The winning team will receive a certificate and a cash prize (1 st -500.00, 2nd

VIII. Rules and Regulations:

 All participants must adhere to the camp rules and regulations.

 Teams are responsible for their own props and costumes.
 The judges' decision is final.
