Emotional Intelligence Assessment

What was your emotional intelligence score? Low emotional intelligence-45

Do you agree or disagree with this score, and why or why not?

The emotional intelligence assessment score is concurred by me. However, I consider the score

being only a snapshot of my emotional intelligence at that specific moment in time which can be

used as a stepping stone for me to explore the intricacies of my emotions and interpersonal

relations. It has helped me note weaknesses that need rectification in order for self-development.

It is important for me to be self-aware, because you can never stop learning new things. I find

this particular score encouraging, which propels me towards developing my emotional

intelligence using diverse techniques as well as lifelong learning practice.

What was your score on emotional awareness?

On emotional awareness, I scored five.

Yes, to my emotional awareness score. Accepting that I only have a score of 5 in emotional

intelligence could feel like low points, but this is the very first step to know in which state am I

now. Although this score could appear like a bad thing, I accept this as an opportunity for me to

improve further.

Developing emotional intelligence calls for consistent commitment toward improving it

gradually. I am not limited by this score that shows my potential to grow beyond my current

level of emotional intelligence. It provides the basis of self-assessment about my strengths and

weaknesses in my emotional intelligence, emotional awareness, empathy, social skills, and self-

regulation.

Therefore, I am determined to learn and apply approaches that will enable me to understand my

feelings as well as my way of socialization. In fact, although this is a single score at a particular

time I hold that I can continuously learn how I can enhance my emotional intelligence or

improve myself as time goes by.

What was your score on emotional control?

On emotional control I scored twenty. I agree with the score. I completely concur on the rating of

20 for the emotional control scale in the evaluation. This assessment helps to highlight a

particular dimension of my emotional intelligence, which offers me food for thought concerning

what I could do to increase my score in the identified domain.

It cannot be overemphasized that recognizing importance of emotion control plays a big role in

maneuvering through different scenarios. Although this score signals its beginning phase in

emotional intelligence, I consider it a chance for learning and growing.

The regulation of reactions, responses and impulses in various cases constitute emotional control.

This helps me to know that I should be exploring ways of developing on my mindfulness, self-

regulation techniques and maybe seek help of some mentors or resources to support me in

growing this point of my EI.

My commitment is in sharpening of my capacity to handle emotions better, knowing that it’s a

skill that can be developed through practice and persistent effort. However low this rating may

be, it provides an opportunity for me to enhance my emotional control in order to improve my

relationship with others as well as myself.

What was your score on emotional diagnosis?

I had ten points on Emotional diagnosis. The assessment has assigned me an emotional diagnosis

of 10, which I do agree upon. This number gives me some information about a particular part of

the EQ which shows that there is scope for improvement.

The skill of emotional diagnosis involves recognizing and describing them, not only in self but in

other people too. This is my actual score as far as this matter is concerned but I appreciate its

importance when it comes to social interactions, making decisions, or simply having the

emotional stability necessary for successful living.

To accept this score motivates me to seek ways of sharpening my abilities in identifying the

feelings correctly. I intend to undertake actions that aid in the self – awareness such as

journaling, emotion monitoring across different scenarios as well as consulting the professionals

and resources of emotional intelligence specialists.

My determination is in improving my ability of emotional diagnoses as it has a big deal on both

personal and work relations. This is the foundation upon which I intend to improve my

understanding of emotional intelligence and enhance my relationships with others.

What was your score on emotional response?

The emotional response I recorded was ten. The emotional response score for this assessment is

10, which I also concur with. That means that even though this particular emotion reflects just

one facet of my emotional quotient now, I see it as just an indicator into how emotionally

intelligent I am towards my feelings.

Therefore, I want to delve more into each of these emotional response’s facets or dimensions.

My involvement in this exercise will assist me analyze my reaction on diverse situation as well

as the effect they have on both self and others.

Indeed, enhancing how I respond emotionally requires numerous steps. Therefore, some of the

things I will do include self-reflection, consultation, or exploring worksheets and resources on

emotion regulations.

Recognizing this score will make me develop positive and healthy emotional awareness and

expression skills. It’s more than just scoring points in this quest of sharpening my emotional

responses, it entails constant improvement and deepening relations with others.

What strategies do you think you can use to improve your emotional intelligence?

My belief is that fostering self-awareness has great significance in improving my emotional

intelligence. I’m dedicated to looking at my feelings, the stimuli, and reactions when they arise at

varying times. Journaling or self-diaries shall help me identify patterns and understand more

about my emotional response. Self-reflection will also involve assessing my current strengths,

weaknesses, and development needs regularly.

In order to stay in the moment and control any stress, I intend to engage in various mindfulness

activities, including meditating and deep breathing. I would learn the skill of emotional

regulation using such techniques as deep breathing, visualization or progressive muscle

relaxation which would help in effective handling of intense emotions. The techniques described

above can help me to avoid imprudent reactions while approaching situations of a calm state of

mind.

Empathy is also critical as I attempt to better understand my emotions and become more

proficient in relating with other people. I will listen actively and endeavor to appreciate views of

other people. Talking about something with someone who makes me think about other points of

view will help me develop my empathy. In addition, developing skills in communication,

conflict resolution, assertiveness will assist in strengthening relationships and understanding of

social dynamics which goes a long way in raising my EQ.
