Instructions
The STA is a team effort. Together,
management/supervisors and employees:
List steps for the task Review and ensure that all personnel understand the STA
Identify known and potential H&S hazards Safely perform the task
Determine work practices and equipment (including PPE)
Revise the STA when the task or conditions change
necessary to complete the task safely
Encourage participation in this process by all crew
When the task is finished, complete the Post STA
members
STAs will be maintained in the work area throughout the duration of the task. Each crew member involved with the task
will sign the STA prior to starting work and initial upon completion of the task.

Task Steps
· Review system design and identify safety hazards.

· Receive and check conveyor components for damage.

· Clear and level the designated installation area.

· Assemble conveyor frame according to instructions, ensuring alignment and level.

· Install conveyor belt, maintaining tension and proper tracking.

· Mount motor and drive system as per manufacturer's instructions.

· Connect motor and safety features to the control panel, verify functionality.

· Conduct final inspection for proper assembly, safety guard function, and belt alignment.

· Run conveyor unloaded and loaded, test emergency stops.

· Prepare basic maintenance instructions.

· Crushing/Entanglement (moving parts like belts, rollers, chains, gears)

· Falling Objects (components, loose items on belt)

· Electrical Hazards (wiring, control panels)

· Slips, Trips, and Falls (uneven surfaces, tools, debris)

· Lifting Injuries (manual handling of heavy components)

· Noise Exposure (power tools, conveyor operation)

Hazards Control

 Use appropriate PPEs.


 Take interval brakes if body exposed to more sun lights.
 Take plenty of water dont dehydrate yourself .
 All jobs should be carried off under proper supervison.
 Emergency no shall be displed on site.
 Personnel should be trained in manual handling techniques.
 Good housekeeping measures shall be maintained in order to prevent slips, trips and falls during material
handling.

 Provide proper means of access and egress


 Provide working platform for work at height.
 Guard machinery to prevent contact with moving parts..
 Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance.
