Sustainable Eco-Friendly Resort Hotel in the Mountain Area of Pakistan
Abstract
I’m going to proposed this thesis regarding the design and development of a sustainable, eco-
friendly resort hotel in the mountainous regions of Pakistan. The integration of hospitality with
environmental awareness will contribute to reducing the negative impacts on the environment to
the minimum level, while comfort and luxury are maximized. By utilizing recycled and locally
sourced materials, renewable energy, and sustainable practices the resort will offer diverse
recreational facilities, such as parks, water bodies, pools, and sports areas. It will serve as a
model for sustainable tourism in environmentally sensitive areas and accommodate both short-
term and long-term visitors.
Introduction
Due to the increased demand for travel, resort development is now required to be
environmentally conscious, especially in mountainous regions with delicate ecosystems.
Conventional building methods have greater negative impacts on such sensitive environments.
This thesis has developed a design for a sustainable, eco-friendly resort hotel in a mountainous
region of Pakistan that would minimize environmental footprints and encourage eco-tourism.
This project shall incorporate recycled materials, renewable energy, and water conservation
methods with recreational facilities like parks, pools, huts, and sporting facilities for making the
resort experience joyous for one and for all.
Aim of the Project
The project is about designing a sustainable, eco-friendly resort hotel that will be in complete
harmony with the natural environment while offering its guests a world of luxury with due
consideration for environmental accountability. Both the short- and long-term stay facilities at
this resort would set a benchmark for sustainability in tourism in the mountainous regions of
Pakistan.
Objectives
• Design a resort using recycled and sustainable building materials based on
environmental objectives.
• Systems of integrating renewable energy: solar and wind power for efficient energy
usage.
• To create strategies on water management, which involve rainwater harvesting, reuse of
wastewater, and development of man-made water bodies in the resort.
